" OK for wandering around shops"

Nothing really to do in this town except wander round shops . The best meal out we got in this town was at an Indian Restaurant Rasoi for quality and service .

Santa Bernarda: We stay in Portimao a lot and decided to do something different one afternoon and chose this trip and we are so glad we did.For 30 Euros pp, this is a great day out. You board at the Marina in Portimao. The ship is a real old-fashioned fishing cutter built in 1968 and then restored as a tourist attraction. It seems very safe and the crew are friendly and helpful. There is also a bar onboard and male and female toilets which are not too bad. We did the Cave Expedition but there are a variety of different tours available. Once out at sea,we climbed into smaller motorboats to investigate the shore caves, but sadly the tide was in so many of the caves were unnavigateable. Very interesting never the less and some really stunning photo ops.

very nice picture perfect resort, lots of nice ports and beaches, the gyspies market of loule was a let down, with it just been a fruit and veg market now but the town was nice itself, the castle at sagres called the ends of the earth was nice for just a few euros to get in,very nice view, renting a car is a must to see all the algarve without paying for all those exspensive trip prices, taxi were very cheap about 5 euros from praia da rocha to alvor, a nice irish populated resort.
