"Breath taking scenery"
Overall Sub Resort Rating:
We stayed in Sao Vincente this time not because of the hotel's reputation but because of the location. We wanted to explore the north side of the island and it was amazing! Stick to the south if you want beaches but if you're anything like us and like exploring the mountains and trekking you will love the north side of Madeira. Great for nature enthusiasts, you will not be disappointed! Highly recommended.

very little to do apart from going up to the caves and hanging around the vilage were not all the locals were friendly

Try the best restaurant in this area "Centro do Ouro" offering excelent service and wide choice of local top quality specialities. You will find it in front of the coastline passing by the first 4 restaurants and follow up the next 100m.
