This was a VERY last minute short break for us (booked day before we were going) and HotelConnect could not have been more helpful. I picked 2 hotels - Albir Playa and Rober Palas - and they managed to book us into the second. It is in a great location, very close to the centre of Albir. Staff are very friendly, rooms spotlessly clean. We asked for extra pillows and they arrived immediately. It also has it's own car park. We booked bed and breakfast (good variety at breakfast) as I'd heard there is a good choice of restaurants in Albir, which is definitely true. Try Mister X (just outside Albir, signposted from the Albir-Altea road, but you'd need either a car or taxi to get there) and also the Steak/Ribs place on the ";front"; (think it's called Country Ribs) - both fantastic places to eat. Also had fresh sardines at lunchtime at Ca Blau on Avenue d'Albir and for 3.80 euros, excellent value!
We loved Albir and would definitely go again. Would also stay at Rober Palas again. Only downside is the pool area - although lovely with a very unusual ";cascading"; pool, it is fairly small and lacking in sunbeds. I think it would be very busy and cramped during the high season.
