Apartments, ten minutes from guaradmar beach, 15 minutes from la marina, which is the beach we prefer, golden sands, very quiet beach. Apartments have a pool which is clean, and quiet most of the time.

Exceptional apartments, less than 5 years old. The one we stayed in was 2 bedroom with 2 bathrooms a nice size living room and galley kitchen. It had a small balcony. A good size plunge pool but it was very cold as it was October.

Just arrived back from these lovely apartments and a very nice typical proper Spanish town. First the apartments, they are only one year old and are the best apartments that i have stayed in all of the one's that i have ever rented, it really is just like home, all the things that you need at home in the kitchen are there as in full cooker and microwave, fridge, toaster, sandwich maker, kettle, lots of pots pans etc, ironing board and iron.

Two big bedrooms one with a king size bed and en-suite plus balcony, one with two singles, plus seperate bathroom and wc, both with fitted wardrobes.Living room with leather settee thats turns into a double bed, dining table with four chairs,tv, dvd,cd. Patio doors on the end of the living room lead to another balcony that overlooks the pool, the people next door have moved from the uk to live there permanant the only difference between us and them was that we had a telly and they had'nt got one yet ! The town of almoradi is a typical spanish town, no masses of souvenier shops,no time share plonkers to bother you, just a spanish town that really welcomes visitors, We went to a spanish bar called El Casica most of the time while we were there as thats where we got the best welcome and the best food and drinks, On the way into town It's on the left just before the chinese, there is some brit pubs as a few brits have settled there so they cater for the brit locals, nothing fancy just good old hospitality and its very cheap (and Quiet) as its not on the tourist trail so you pay the same as the locals do.

15 minutes East is Guardamar, its where the Spanish go to visit the seaside, the beach is excellent and usually empty so you wont be fighting for a space to relax, its a natural beach not man made, so its just like the beaches at home with sand, not shingle, and very safe for kids as it slopes gently into the sea.
30 minutes N E is Alicate so if you want noise and hustle and bustle go there.

We will be going again as it really is a lovely place to go to and see the real Spain, like it use to be.

The Mirador De Las Palmeras are private apartments that we rented from the internet, Sleeps Six, One bedroom with a king sized bed and en-suite, one with twin beds, and bed sette that sleeps two.Ther is a living room, full kitchen with all mod cons, two balconies one of which is off the main bedroom, communial pool, tv,dvd player,hi-fi,all power used is in with the rental, (no meters).
The apartments are one year old and are in immaculate condition, as soon as we got out of our car we could smell the orange groves that are to one side, as you are on the edge of Almoradi but only five mins walk from the town centre.

The town itself is a small proper spanish town that has not been spoilt by
tourism, there is a few english bars that cater for the english that have settled there to live, which i think says a lot about the town. We went into quite a few of the bars but found the best one was a spanish bar called El-Casica which is on the right hand side with a heinekin sign above the door as you walk into town just
before the chinese, the drink and food was very good, as they cater for the people of the town, not tourist who only stay for a few days so it has to be good, the people in there are very friendly and welcome visitors.
Fifteen mins away to the east is Guadamar where you will find a fantastic beach, it is not man made so its proper sand just like home, thats where the spanish go to relax on the beach so it has to be good, and it is.
Almoradi is a excellent place to go to relax as it is out of the way, but near to the best beach in the area and thirty mins away from Alicante.

We will be going back there in the future without a doubt.

Mirador de las Palmeras is a brand new apartment complex that opened May this year. They are very spacious sleeping up to 6 in some apartments and fitted out with equipment to owners requirements, the one we stayed in had a TV and DVD player but no channels(but I don't go on hol to watch TV)They also had a Nintendo 64 which my kids loved. there was a lovely pool which was the perfect temperature which we used for cooling off as it was so hot. Most nights we walked into Almoradi for something to eat and there was plenty of choice from traditional Spanish, Chinese and English for the die hards. The nearest beach is 10 mins drive at Guardamar del Segure which was absolutely beautiful we spent a day there and found loads to do, including a fun fair with trampolines in the evening.

We will defiantly go again.
