the hotel staff was very nice. got bug so we were ill for 3 days. cant blame drink as did not have any. could do will building a layer of brick between walls as you hear everything next door, from throwing up to snoring from u know what, even passing wind. u felt very intermitt with ur neighbours. at one point lots of stag and hen nights. if ur room is on front dont expect much sleep with people coming and going drunk through the night. beware of bug as lost count how many people had it while we were there. people were even having to canc their flight home.

This hotel is very good for families or couples or even singles! The staff are very friendly as also are the cleaning ladies. I would go back to this hotel with no doubt about having a good holidy.

The hotel was very popular with lots of couples saying they have visited this hotel before! The room was quite basic but has everythink u need! The pillows were quite hard tho. We were half board where u had a breakfast of everythink u can imagine full cooked breakfast, ceral,toast,fruit, evening meal was ok although food didnt vary that much lots of salad,soup and chips! The walls in the hotel are very thin and you can hear everythink whats going on next door!

lots of shops, excellent clean bleaches and public transport is excellent. friendly helpful locals would recommend

The hotel was very clean and very worth while going all inclusive. only problem 2 adults and 2 kids in the same room-not a major problem though. Restaurant and bar are exellent. i had a problem with the safe and this was rectified with in 10 minutes of me reporting it to the reception. I would recomend this hotel.

very well placed , food very good , as well for children we,ve stayed twice now & wont hesitate to go back again apart from the sleeping arrangements (two single beds for a married couple ) couldnt fault the hotel in any way .

We have previously stayed at this hotel on a half board basis but they have recently offered all inclusive which is great value for money. Snacks are served by the pool in between breakfast, lunch dinner. Then after dinner they are served in the restaurant. The staff are lovely, rooms basic but very clean and the entertainment is very family orientated. The beach is about a steady 10 min walk away and there are restaurants and bars all around the hotel. The Kebabish just over the road was particularly good after a night out. All in all a great choice of hotel for people not expecting 5* but wanting somewhere clean, friendly, accessible and reasonably priced.

I have stayed at the Regente Hotel in Benidorm on 5 occasions now and would recommend it without hesitation. Ideal for young families with a fantastic pool and play area, and also great for young couples with a large sized lounge and bar area. In the reception area there is full internet access should you need to keep in touch and the hotel is situated within a stones throw from the main attractions. Motability scooters are available for hire from the hotel should my calculation of a stones throw prove slightly further than you would think. Overall a fantastic hotel and i shall be using their services again very shortly.

this hotel has to be the worst i have ever stayed in.we We stayed in the Regente from 16th to 27th October 2007. People were dropping like flies with the bug that causes a bowel infection. The violent sickness and 'runs' caused by this infection are awful to see, nevermind experience. Our 3 year old had to have the doctor out to him & his mum started with the symptoms on the day that we came home. The hotel payed for the doctor .There were a lot of people who had to go to hospital and also many were confined to there rooms for days on end. The rep and holiday help line were pathetic with thier response to the problem, denying everything. The hotel had been closed for 3 days for a deep clean including new bedding and matresses. The floors on the landings were filthy, bedding was old, matresses stained, air con units filthy & cockroaches were found in the lounge area. The official line was that the hotel was closing for a refurb at the end of the month but they closed it on the day that we left, relocating people who had booked for longer. I am very angry that the company put my little boy's health at risk and feel that as this bug has been in the hotel for approx 1 year,

lovely hotel with freindly staff couldnt do enough for us

I have just returned yesterday from the Regente (11/11/08 - 18/11/08) and was struck down on my second day there with sickness & diarohea. The common topic of conversation in the hotel is the sickness as MANY people are being struck down with it soon after arriving. One of our neighbours in the hotel was hospitalised.

I've checked reports for this hotel on the net and have found NUMEROUS reports of the same reported symptoms. I wish I'd read these reviews before booking the holiday as the problem appears to be a recurrent one with reps telling us its never happened before it must be a bug that someone's brought with them! This later changed to its an airbourne bug. Speaking to local shops and bars we were told the Regente is well known for sickness & diarohea where large numbers of guests are inflicted.

The hotel appears clean and the food looked lovely although I only ate a couple of times. The only other problem apart from the sicknes was that the room walls are paper thin worse than anywhere I've ever stayed in.

People need to be aware that this problem does exist and for some reason keeps recurring at intervals inflicting large numbers of guests but certainly last week, this week, and next week look very bleak for anyone staying there.

We had booked for this hotel before we had seen the reviews of past holidaymakers. There was stories of food poisioning,upset stomachs, hospitalisation unfriendly staff, (you name it,) When we arrived we were met by a very friendly receptionist, our rooms were very clean & airy, the maids were fantastic, the food was some of the best we had, had in hotels with higher ratings. The entertainment was not too bad with a varied selection of acts. We did not see or hear of anyone being taken ill. All in all we enjoyed our stay at the Regente and would not hessitate to go back there again.

the hotel was very pleasent the rooms were excellent. very clean linen changed daily as were towels, resteraunt very clean, light and airy, table linen changed after guests ate, before going in you were requested to use alcohol rub for hands. meals were vaired each day you could buy water or wine with your meal, local bars were cheap for pints at 1euro, union jack, stretford,and picadily sport bar near indoor market, if you felt hungry on way back to hotel you could go to macs at beech or try subway near hotel, as this was a suprise birthday treat and not been here before it was a delightful experience for me which i realy enjoyed would recomend this hotel to anyone..

no sign of the infamous bug. walls wafer thin ,thought the bloke snoring was in my room.food ok . renovations going on at the time but was funny watching them.spotlessly clean. only let down was the walls

Went with open mind as not been before as it was a birthday suprise hotel very clean staff friendly, food hall very clean had to wash hands in alcoholic rub as you entered, staff always clearing and replacing table covers after each person finished meal, in rooms towels changed daily, bedlinen was straightend changed every two days, we could see the union jack bar from room, 80 metres on up side street on left bars london, stretford, subway sandwich bar if you needed food opp, down past indoor market picadilly sport bar cheep beer 1 euro pint karaoke most days unless football on tv, it was flat as i am disabled had no difficulty walking to bars, hotel had entertainment on nothing special but good if you wanted to stop in, Estel incharge of entertainment was very interactive with children till about 9, then guests playing free bingo, also seeing if you would join in with her, about 10 artists on till 12 at night, not too dear for drinks in bar, sun deck for tanning also pool to cool off, had a good time will go back in a couple years to see if it has changed if you go hope you have a very great time, rep was not very helpful if things went wrong seemed she was not bothered.
