"noisy hotel situation"

Not the best place to stay in benidorm as staying on one side you get the noise of the Black Chicken karioke next door, and no matter who you ask, ie the hotel management or the Black Chicken itself, nothing will be done., sometimes it goes on very very loud until 5 am, never to take the chance with this hotel again. Once bitten twice shy.

Great hotel, excellent location close to the beach. Nothing to do for the kids though, I think hotel is more for couples and elderly. We found a new kids club just opened this year run by an english girl so managed to get some time to ourselves which was great. Would go back again even just for location.

"Friendly Staff/Clean Hotel"

Overall Hotel Rating:

We found the staff very friendly and the room was kept very clean. There was a good choice at breakfast and a fair selection at dinner. They were filming the TV programme Benidorm whilst we were there at Morgans Tavern next to the hotel.(never seen any actors). Location of the hotel is good for all bars and close to beach. Lot of elderly people in the hotel. Entertainment at night not so hot. Plenty other bars around hotel.

The down side of this hotel would be the paper thin walls, you can hear every word from your neighbours and also the lift that kept breaking down with people inside. My mother of 85yrs was one and she was petrified being pulled out between floors and ended with brusies over her arms, my sister was also stuck and she would not use the lift again leaving her to climb up and down stairs with her bad back and sore legs.

Benidorm palace is worth seeing, it costs 34 euros including transport & first drink but, i would suggest you order your second drink at the same time as it is very hard to get waiter service whilst they are serving meals and you are not allowed at the bar.

All in all we did enjoy our holiday and would go back to this hotel but not use the lifts.

My wife and i are over 70,-The hotel has all you need for a good holiday, Clean.Comfortable,Nice pool area, Plenty of sunbeds,Good wholesome entertainment with a variety of events throughout the evening to keep you entertained, The main entertainer each evening was very good, including Singers,Comedians, and a few novelty spots. The staff were excellent at all times, The hotel is right amongst the shops and night clubs and only one block away from the main promenade, With double glazing fitted to the sliding doors there was very little noise from the local bars, overall this hotel has a lot to offer. while its not a 4/5 star accomodation, it is excellent in many other ways.

staff were very very friendly and we arrived late but were told to go to the bar for a complimentary sandwich and tea or coffee or pop. They also brought out crisps too - all free! Entertainment was moderately ok , pool is ok and could get a little cramped in peak season s i bet as there is not a lot of sunbathing space comared to other hotels as the sun goes behind the hotel at some times of the day. Room cleanliness and space and size was excellent. Overall a good but quiet hotel.

The hotel was very clean, I would say it caters for the older person rather than the younger, We were the youngest couple there!, but , all the poeple are very friendly. The entertainment at the hotel was not to our taste (Bingo ect) If you are a non smoker than this resort is'nt for you, the smoking ban does not exist anywhere. The hotel staff are very friendly and the pool is kept very clean, The food is good! You have to be an early riser to grab a sun bed! That usely dampens down about 2 ish every day, because all the old folk go up to bed! The local nightlife is very good, depending on your taste, Sticky Vicky is on the door step! If you are staying on the The Black Chicken Pub side of the Hotel,"be warned" You will need ear plugs to get a-sleep each night. If we were to return, we would def stay at the Riudor again.

The Ruidor hotel provides good value accomodation. We stayed full board and the food was plentiful and of good quality. This hotel does tend to appeal to the more senior holidaymakers which suited us but may not appeal to the younger guests. The entertainment provided in the evening reflects this. However there are numerous bars surrounding this hotel which are aimed at the youngsters. The beach is less the five minutes walk away.

Just returned from 1st visit to Benidorm - and promptly returned to book again for the same hotel next year!!

HOTEL - clean, welcoming, good size rooms, large, airy dining room. Lovely lounge with tv's. Smoking area (with tv).Great staff. Cabaret shows every night with bingo, quizzes etc. Iknow some people are disappointed that the hotel is going to be adults only - but for us that was a bonus.

POOL - deep and COLD!!! Ample sunbeds, umbrellas and chair loungers. Poolside bar.

MEALS - Buffet style breakfast and dinner. Plentiful. Good range and excellently presented.

BENIDORM - Brilliant!!! Cant wait to go back! For a humungous T-bone steak with all the trimmings - you've gotta try THE YORKSHIRE PRIDE. Lovely, lovely pub! They also have live music and ZOE LEE is just amazing - a fab voice and wild vocal range.
The STAR and GARTER is a super karaoke bar with happy hour that never ends. JOHN and JOSEPHS - they only shut for two hours! Good size meals, cheap drinks and smashing waiters. TALK OF THE TOWN - directly opposite the entrance of the hotel, gets packed but if your a Queen or Freddy Mercury fan - go see the amazing MOFF - he's been around for years and can give you goosebumps with some of his stuff - especially Barcelona! VALENTINES - next door but one to TALK OF THE TOWN - seen the excellent comic DANNY DEAN (if your offended by blue language and jokes - dont go).
Could go on and on and on and mention places like CHAMPIONS, WOOKY HOLLOW, CHAPLINS, the country and western bar that was always packed, but for the life of me I cant remember its name! The huge MARKET on Wednesdays and Sundays. The fabulous views over PONIENTE and LEVANTE beaches. The great people who we met. The stunning sand sculptures on the beaches. The fact that we were only there a WEEK and cant wait to go back for two (or more) next year!!!!

I went on holiday with my friend my daughter and my daughter in law .myself and my friend had been to benidorm before and we didnt really like it but we thought we would give it another try because the other two hadnt been before my veiws havent changed i still didnt like it . we didnt feel safe you are having to watch your bag all the while.

The hotel we could not fault the meals were lovely normally i eat a lot of salads when im away but this year i didnt have one all week because there was so much choice of hot meals. the hotel is in a prime location the only downside is it is next door to a brothel.

I am going to stick to a smaller resort next year im going back to majorca

arrived at hotel ruidor on 30th may 2006 we have no complaints at all with this hotel.

The staff were all friendly and courteous. The meals were lovely and hot with plenty of choice , usually when i go abroad i choose lots of salads but i didnt this time because there was so much choice . The rooms were lovely with plenty of room and spotlessly clean. I travelled with a friend ,my daughter, and my daughter-in-law .My friend and myself had been to benidorm before but dont really like it ,but decided because the other two hadn,t been we would come again.

We are used to somewhere smaller so we are going back to majorca next year. But the hotel was fantastic.
