Casa John Villa Reviews

We visited this private villa in July 2008. Well that's us back home - it all seems to have passed like lightning! It feels like only a few days ago we were excited about going and now we're back home - and i'm back at work (yuk). What a holiday we had though! The weather was outstanding! Moriara is a really pretty place and has a very smart feel to it. It has changed a lot since I was last there about 30 years ago with my mum and dad, although the church and the square are still the same (the bar prices a lot, lot dearer though!). We have been going to Calpe on and off for years and never got round to visiting Moriara again. It really is a cracking wee place and very beautiful. Good for our kids too (11 and 7) and the 'Costa Blanca' park at the back of town, which Sue and Dave pointed us towards, was perfect for our kids (and older ones too!). Speaking of Sue and Dave they are a lovely couple and were very helpul - didn't ever feel that they were impinging on our holiday (in fact we shared a San Miguel with them a couple of times). We also (re)visited Calpe, Javea and one of the bodegas in the Jalon Valley. But most of the time we lay about the pool sunning ourselves and relaxing in the naya, which was superb. Casa John is an absolute delight and you must be very pleased with what you have achieved with it. I noticed that it is named after your freind, who must have been a great guy... this is a great place, and a really nice tribute to him. I'm sure he would be very proud of you. The villa is perfect. Not too big - when the 4 of us were there on our own the first week it felt very comfortable; and not too small - when my brother and his wife and kids arrived it still felt very comfortable. The pool is brilliant and the kids spent most of their time in it (big kids too!). There was plenty of safe walking/sunbathing space around the pool for everyone without having to walk barefoot on the stones. The furniture was all brand new and really good quality thoughout. I know we were the first to rent from you and it was our privilege to live in a place with such quality and comfort around us. Karen you have a fantastic villa with fantastic views in a fantastic part of the world. I would be very interested in coming back again next year and am thinking about whether we can afford to book it out for the whole of July 2009 -really, it is that good!
