Moraira is a pleasant village, unspoilt by package deals, although it soea seem to have a large population of ex-pat Brits, who have moved/retired here.
The beach is lovely and has good facilities around it.
Restaurants are plentiful, some very expensive, some posh burger type ones, and some inexpensive but nice. Special mention to Titos, on the road into Moraira from Tuelada, excellent cuisine, reasonably priced, a wonderful evening. Monroes I would not go there again, poor service poor food, although the carvery does eem to pack the Brits in, but a restaurant which gives you a sachet of tartare sauce says it all. Tiffanys was a nice bar with a karaoke, very friendly. I would give La Sort restaurant a miss, very expensive, and we suffered the next day, we cannot definately say it was the oysters, but we would not risk it again.
Accomodation: Villa was expensive at £750.00 per week, a car was a must as the hill must be a 1 in 4 and the site said a leisurely 20 minute walk to the town, you must be joking!!!
Pool was nice, but surrounded by very loud families from the continent, and even on their own pool the towels went down about 3am.
I know I shouldn't as it is a different continent but value for money when compared with Florida villas does not come close. We got very little for our money, even advertised as Sky digital TV, yes it is there but you cannot use it as it has no card, but is does have an appology saying that it keeps breaking down sorry!
I liked Moraira, people were nice, I did not take to well the Siestas, ( everyone here seems to do it)but the town lights up of a night time and adds to holiday experience.
Moraira 8/10
Accomodation 3/10 ( site of villa 1/10 )
