We stayed near Capaomar about 6 miles outside Torrevieja but did visit Torrevieja several times. It is now a large sprawling town but does have an attractive seafront and prom. Off the seafront it gives the impression of being a bit tatty and rundown. ...

We stayed near Capaomar about 6 miles outside Torrevieja but did visit Torrevieja several times. It is now a large sprawling town but does have an attractive seafront and prom. Off the seafront it gives the impression of being a bit tatty and rundown. Not a place that I would choose to holiday in. BEWARE - water park in Torrevieja is a rip off. Pay to get in (not cheap) then pay to hire rings (almost essential), pay to hire sun beds. If you must go take a packed lunch as they charge Disney prices for disgusting junk food.
