We arrived on Sunday and after unpacking went to bed at 11 pm. I awoke at 4 .30 am and noticed the wardrobe doors open, I checked on my bedside table to find that my money, bank card 2 mobiles had gone. As the lady in the previous let...

We arrived on Sunday and after unpacking went to bed at 11 pm. I awoke at 4 .30 am and noticed the wardrobe doors open, I checked on my bedside table to find that my money, bank card 2 mobiles had gone. As the lady in the previous letter said, they had been stood over me whilst I slept. I tried to wake my husband but found it hard to rouse him, I then realised that they had used a spray on us to sedate us(I have been told this is very common in this area).I finally woke him to find they had been through all the drawers in the living room and took anything of value. They had let themselves out through the main door downstairs and left the keys in the lock. We had no change to call the housekeeper, and no one would help us. We went into an all night cafe to use the phone, but because I only had english change in my purse, they would not let us use the phone.A kind young spanish couple in the apartment above rang the Guardia Civil and then he took us there on his way to work.They told us it had happened to them also.
We eventually got hold of the english gentleman who had picked us up at the airport, and he was kind enough to pay for a flight home on his credit card.We will be forever gratefull to him. We came home the next day (I've never been so glad to see an airport). We have been going to Spain 5 or 6 times a year for many years, but this has really put us off.The only thing that consoles me is the fact that we didn't wake up and see them.This truly is the place of nightmares.
