Lloret de Mar itself is a lovely place. The town centre is filled with loads of little shops that you can buy souveniers in, and has loads of little restaurants dotted about. The beach is really nice and long, however is filled with little stones rather than sand which can hurt your feet quite a bit! There are a few nightclubs, which we didn't go in as we prefer to be able to have a chat and a drink. There are loads of really nice little bars all around the resort though.

I would recommend this hostel to any young couples or students tha fancy a cheap break. My boyfriend and I stayed at the hostel Santa Ana for a week, and only paid £310 for both of us, including bed and breakfast. The rooms in the hotel are quite small, but very clean, and a cleaner came in to change the towels and clean around every day. The hotel is right in the centre of lloret de mar, and is only around a 5 minute walk to the beach and is literally 2 minutes away from the shops and restaraunts in the town.

The only disappointment that we had was that we were told that there was a swimming pool in the hotel next door that we could use, however the hotel next door had been closed down for quite a long time, which had not been updated on the website. The transfers were also a lot longer than the half an hour it said on the website, and took around an hour and a half. Other than that we did have a really good time!

Overall the holiday was great for the price we payed for it and I would definitly go back to Lloret de Mar again.

After booking this hotel as part of a group of work colleagues going away for 3 nights, I read its reviews on several websites and must admit I was dreading our arrival. However I was pleasantly surprised.

The hotel is situated in a great location, just a short walk from the resort centre and beach and not in the middle of the noisy nightlife! The reception area and bar is bright, modern and clean, and we found the reception staff couldn't be more friendly and welcoming.

My partner and I stayed in a superior room on the 5th floor. It was a little small, but spotlessly clean, complete with TV, air conditioning and hairdryer. Other guests did comment that the normal rooms were a bit more basic and old fashioned, so it was definitely worth paying a small amount extra for the superior room. Maid service was daily.

We stayed all-inclusive and found the food to be pretty average but palatable. Not much variety from day to day. Food was typically Spanish - but remember you are on holiday in Spain!! Burgers, hot dogs and ice creams were available at the bar at specified times of the day. Coffee, tea and pastries were also provided at tea time. Soft drinks, beer, sangria and local spirits are available from 10am right through to 11pm, although it is a strict one-per-person policy when you go to the bar; this wasn't an issue when we stayed in November, but I can imagine queues would be pretty constant at the height of summer. The bar staff weren't the friendliest, but judging by the behaviour of some of the drunken Brits that were staying at the same time as us, I didn't blame them for being a bit cold!

Entertainment was very much aimed towards the elderly Spanish couples who were staying in the hotel (flamenco etc.) but we didn't mind, as we tended to sit and have a few drinks until 10pm when we would head off into town. The pool isn't very big and there are limited sunbeds, however there are great spa facilities, including an indoor pool, hot-tub and steam room.

All in all I would recommend this hotel to stay at in the quieter months, I don't know what it would be like in the main summer months. Would strongly suggest that you give it a go and form your own opinion - 99% of the reviews I have read totally slate the place, where as all of our 15-strong party found it to be a bright, friendly and clean establishment, and trust me I have very high standards when it comes to hotels! I would definitely stay here again without a doubt.

Ok, from the outside you'd think it is a beautiful hotel but from the inside it is horrible, its clean but the walls are paper thin and easy to hear everything! Sometimes you get a kitchen, but it has no oven! The food is disgusting, I found a lump of pineapple inside my strawberry cake! Scrambled eggs are runny and the food is just bland. My sister has ME and we were all inclusive, it wouldn't be good for her to wear the wristband all the time but she was forced too. The computers are expensive, 20 c for 5 minutes! If you don't have a kitchen in your room you have no choice but to go all inclusive and eat the horrid food! The outside is good though, they have a snack bar, at least the food is good there!

Me and my partner booked this holiday as a late break for Oct half term week from Sky Teletext. This is the worst time we've ever had, the hotel out in the middle of nowhere, the resort was 'closed' when we arrived - all the bars , and shops had closed for the end of the season, so nowhere else to eat apart from the hotel, the food was dire, if you like chips, chips and more chips with sald you'll be ok whatever else they offered was disgusting. we were half board so no free drinks as the all inclusive prisoners, the bar prices were extortionate 8.60 euros for 2 vodka and cokes, we didn't bother again we bought our own and drank it on the balcony of our dirty room. the balcony door windows hadn't been cleaned in months, and you could write your name in the dust on some of the furniture, the sheets were clean but tatty, we did get clean towels every day but they never swept the room all week so when you came out of the shower barefoot in seconds you had dirty feet. The hotel was full of families with young children, which we don't mind as long as they behave themselves, well it seems whislt the all inclusive parents getting drunk all day just let their kids run riot day and night, running round the corridors, banging on bedroom doors, and giving you a mouthful if you dare ask them to keep the noise down, the weather was bad most of the week, rain, rain and more rain so the kids did get bored, but hotel staff did nothing to keep them occupied. One family who arrived a couple of days before us witnessed a full blown drunken fight going on by the main entrance when they turned up at about 11:45pm.

If you read the other reviews about this hotel, believe it - it's all true DONT GO THERE!!!

We are both students and it was ideal for us having everything we would need so close by. Its about 100m to the beach. Take a walk up to the castle for a great view. Plenty of shops and places to eat. I would recommend La Pampa which does a great deal on starter and main. We didnt sample the night life and although it was right on the doorstep the noise was not an issue. There are alot of young groups and couples at this resort but they never caused an issue. Waterworld is a great day out if its to your taste. We went in september and therefore had the place pretty much to ourselves. Brilliant value for money. Overall I thought it was a great holiday and it is a resort I would return to.

I only read one review for this hotel and it was bad so I wasn't expecting much but we were very pleasently suprised. I went on this holiday as a last minute cheap getaway with my boyfriend. Rooms were clean, plenty of space, we had a balcony looking out over the pool. Our room was on the 4th floor and there were 7 but that wasn't a problem, there are 3 lifts. Rooms were cleaned daily along with sheets and towels changed. Safety deposit boxes are available in the rooms. We were half board and the meals served were standard, nothing to quarrel about for the amount we paid. Friendly, English speaking reception staff, all you would need really.

stayed there end of september for a week. we paid £860 for 2 so expected a lot more than we got. we are not fussy eaters but that was unedible we ende up going out to eat all the time. watered down drinks. as for sleep i dont know what that was on holiday never got 1 nights sleep there. came home for a rest. good job there was a burger king across the road and thats something i dont normally eat. went to the mexican a lovely meal and reasonable price. hotel should be knocked down. or soundproofed. lloret is a nice enough place.good shops with the usual holiday stuff. wont be back. if you have got kids i wouldnt recommend it. some of the things i heard from all the young people even made me blush. we are in our 40s with 3 daughters and we have grandchildren theres no way i would take them there. if you are a party animal that likes no sleep this is the one for you.
