Well we've been to Lloret before in main season and it was great....clubs galore and perfect for young groups. Found a cheap break in Feb this time though, around £50 each for 3 days so a group of 6 of us went. We wasn't expecting much to be open, and we were right....everything apart from the Robin Hood over the road was closed. We still had a great time though, enjoyed the all inclusive drinks before hitting the Robin until 3am every night. They manage to get a few in there even at this time of the year, and the music is good so can dance the night away. BEWARE that the Royal Beach is a pensioners hot spot this time of the year....i think we were by far the youngest staying there at 25 years old. Also, it rained the entire time we were there and was freeeeeezing cold, so be sure to pack your thick jacket if your going in Feb....shorts are definitely not needed. Take the bus (line 6) to Blanes train station at the top of the road outside the hotel and then the train to Barcelona....we've been to Barca many times before and it never ever gets broing!!! Overall, the hotel was rubbish, the weather was rubbish, but we still had a fab time together!!!

The resort of Calella is probably very nice in the high season with plenty of shops, bars and resturants to suit all tastes. Unfortunatly when we had our holiday in Febrary there were not a lot of them open. The beach stretches the full length of the resort and i am sure the kids will love it.

This is a clean and pleasant resort, plenty of places to eat and drink, handy train links to Barcelona and Girona. Found getting to the beach difficult due to having to cross the train lines but there are plenty of underground places to do this. Would recommend this resort to people with families of all ages. There was not much to do in the evening but we were there in November so didn't expect much.

As I went with my young child I couldnt comment on the nightlife but did see a few clubs. The beaches were very clean and my daughter loved it and it felt safe. Can get pestered with massage ladies and men selling things but they do take no for an answer.Lots of the usual holiday type shops but lots of buses and trains into neighbourng resorts and barcelona should you want to go futher. There is a large supermarket if your self catering or for bits for your room.

Nice resort, as we went last week of summer season, most places closed or closing that week. Not that good for families with young children, not much for them to do. The train station was very close by so you can go to Barcelona or other resorts easily. Lovely beach.

i am still pulling my hair out it was that bad i will never go ther ever again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my mum and dauter hated it

clean beaches not alot going on apart from people walking around asking if you want to go to a disco and i thought food was very expensive drinks about the same as england

Santa Susana is a nice little resort, with a fine selection of shops and several nice eateries.The beach is nice to look at, but it does slope quite steeply into the sea, so becomes deep quickly - Parents of toddlers be cautious. A must when this close to Barcelona, is a train ride to the city and a visit to the Nou Camp stadium, it was the highlight of our stay.

thank god for cheap trains.nothing to do in pineda,beach is very gritty,hardly any day or nightlife.

the beach is a kinda of shingley sand.. always clean...the sea is quite choppy and as you wade in it shelves down unexpectedly beware...also freezing cold even when sun temp is 31....lovely promenade...some nice historic buildings and a lovely church in the midst of the shops....plenty of souveneir shops with lots of choice and a good bit of bartering can be done....nice english pub on the front called the piccadilly...friendly and clean...happy hour 10pm till midnight 2 for the price of one but never rowdy... brilliant resturant called the orient express also on the front....2 dinners consisting of sirloin steak jacket pot salad and crispy vegetables , 3 pork chops jacket pot salad and crispy vegetables glass of wine and a bottle of water 29 euros..go there you wont be sorry. The only thing about the resort i have to gripe about it at the end of clubs etc near the bus stations beware that pickpockets operate and the hotels dont warn you...my husband became a target but fortunatley i noticed just as his wallet was going to be lifted...and they got nothing...keep your guard up...

If you ar staying in A H Top hotel here you have the advantage of using the other hotels in the chain.

Lovely resort with lots of plces to eat and enjoy live music in the evenings. good for all ages lovely sandy beaches and small funfare for the children . There is a station in santa susana where you can get the train to Barcelona.

A really nice hotel in a great location, with pleanty to see and do for people of all ages. Approximately 5 m inutes walk for the hotel is the local train station which for a few euros takes you all the way to Barcelona for just a few euros. The hotel would also be suitable foor anyone wanting a nice realxing break as all of your needs are well catered for within the hotel.

Excellent bus and train service to Barcelona and other resorts should you want an excursion. Lloret centre is more geared to young people, lot's of clubs etc, although the old town is very nice. If you are an older trveller without youngsters then I would recommend the Fenal beach area as it is somewhat quieter, but still enough to do.
