Loved Lloret but would recommend Fenals, just a 5-10 minute walk away for those not interested in clubbing. Fenals beach was beautiful, clean, not overcrowded, well supervised, and even has special facilities for the disabled. The Gardens of St.Clothilde and the Modernistic Cemetery are both worth a visit..... but if anyone finds the Angel of Lloret can you please post me directions?!

Lloret is a good typical Med resort, plenty to keep you entertained, lots of good British restaurants serving fish fingers etc for the kids and lots of fun things. The waterpark is good fun.
Pineda / Calella De La Costa review
"Lovely Resort"
resort to a friend
The beach is beautiful and clean, its a bit shingly but that's great cos I havent brought any home with me. There are lots of places to walk, including the light house and the torettes. There is a train service that services the other local resorts and is very handy. The old part of Calella has some lovely buildings with a nice church. Food is inexpensive and lots of nic-nac shops.

Lloret De Mar review
"blackpool with nice weather"
resort to a friend
This resort is best described as blackpool with sun. Plenty of clubs, fast food is the only food available. 3 burger kings on 1 street says it all. On a positive the beach is lovely, clean and well maintained.

Italian Renaissance style garden playing with various shapes and shades of green in combination with sculptures, romantic stairways and spectacular sea views. We happily and leisurely walked and rested there for about 2 hours. If you have to get back for the "hop-on-hop-of garden tour" bus you could quickly see the garden in one hour. This garden is not a collection of plants but a beautifully designed landscape garden. Some practicalities: box office has brochure-map in English; there is a nice restroom by the box office, no food/drinks vendors in the garden.

"Not a lot going for the place."

Quiet resort with not a lot going on. On the plus side you can get into Barcelona on the train in just over an hour.

Really nice resort for a family holiday. Lovely beach, a few good family friendly restaurants and it is quite low key at night, not too loud and noisy though there is enough to keep you entertained.
Malgrat De Mar review
"great little resort"
resort to a friend
been to malgrat de mar twice and would certaily go again it's great for a late getaway same kind of layout has blackpool you have the hotels, shops and bars then the road railwayline then the beach. you have a long flat pavement no hills so great for buggys wheel chairs or people with walking difficulties. The beach is long clean and plenty of room lots of shops theres a market 1 day a week with lots of stalls, a short walk also takes you into santa susanna 8euros back in a taxi if you dont want to walk back if your looking for lively nightclubs this is not the place to go calella would be a better location. you can also get a train to barcelona for 7.50 euros return a real bargain the station is in malgrat

Pineda / Calella De La Costa review
"Nice resort"
resort to a friend
A nice resort by day, at night it is taken over by the 18-30's crowds. Plenty of shops if that floats your boat, some nice restaurants and reasonable prices. Beach is nice, if quite steeply shelving, making it a little awkward getting out and possibly a little dangerous for young children.
Pineda / Calella De La Costa review
"small spanish town"
resort to a friend
Pineda is not really a resort more a local town it has nothing really to offer the tourist but has an exellent train service to all the resorts up and down the coast. we enjoyed Pineda as we mixed with the locals in the town square on an evening which was great for us butnot for everyone.

Pineda / Calella De La Costa review
"OK for a 3* Hotel"
resort to a friend
Very quiet with few hotels around. about a 10 minute walk into the centre of town and to the train station. Calella has a bit more life with lots of shops, beware of the 'fake' Barcelona FC shirts, lots to buy but none of them real.

Pineda / Calella De La Costa review
"Poor resort"
resort to a friend
The resort of Pineda is naf, it has nothing. The beach is very stoney and you def need beach shoes also there is a dip as you wander into the sea, so not good for the kids. There is a little train that takes you to Pineda but you may as well walk to pass the time as its only 10 mins away although there is nothing there except a few shops. The bigger resort of Callela is about a 30 min walk the other way (please note that the little train does not go here despite what other reviews have said) and is just like your local shopping centre at home. I didnt like it at all. There is a market along the prom every Friday but even this wasnt very good. The whole resort is derelict and quite dirty with dog dirt all over the pavement. The Spanish people could do so much with this resort but they seem to take no pride in it at all which is a shame.
