"costa brava"
Overall Resort Rating:
We spent most of our time at the north end of Lloret beach. There is an interesting walk up to the Lloret Castle (a private home built in the style of a castle), recommend it for the view back towards the town.
The beach has a good number of facilities, most of which were closed during our visit in March.
The sand is described as course but shingle would be a better description, in fact it's almost like gravel. Not surprising given the hard rock which gives the Costa Brava its name.
Overall not a bad beach for a tourist resort centre but if you're looking for a better beach take a trip to the nearby Canyelles or Santa Cristina beaches.
