Not a bad resort, it did have lovely clean beaches but be advised not go at the end of september as everywhere was closing up for the winter even though the weather was still nice.

We laughed when we arrived in the rain as we were situated in an apartment opposite a residential apartment with a broken patio door and over-run with cockroaches!! We managed to change apartments the next day after being told by the Al Murray lookalike on...

In our opinion, Blanes is a beautiful part of both Spain and the world to visit. An ideal destination for both a romantic break and family holiday, providing children don't need to be constantly entertained. The beaches are lovely and clean. With regard to spending money, it is a good idea to allocate 10 Euros a day to hire sunloungers (2) and a parasol (1). There are some great shops in the main town. We would definatly consider another holiday in Blanes.

We found the Europa Apartments to be average. A 50 Euro deposit is required which is given back on your last day, not before. The apartment was comfortable and has all the things you need for a self catering holiday. Our apartment was located at the back of...

Blanes is a very good resort, with plenty of bars and restaurants. There is a frequent bus service to Lloret De Mar. A train runs along the promenade, and buses go to Botanical Gardens, which overlook the Marina. Plenty of Tapas Bars and good value 3 and 4 course set menu deals. All in all, a family friendly resort with plenty to keep everyone occupied.

Read reviews of apartments before we went which put us off, but pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Very clean, spacious apartment, good sized swimming pool, and bar with nightly entertainment, also served snacks/meals. Reception staff were friendly and h...

Blanes does not seem to cater much for young children and is more for couples. The beach is shingily and man made and when entering the sea after a few feet there is a dramatic drop which is not good for children nor for those who are just 'holiday' swimmers. All that said we had great weather and thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Marineland and the Botanical Gardens is worth a look.

We travelled with Siesta and stayed in one of their lodges, which were very nice. However, the holiday park seems to have one rule for Siesta clients and one rule for everyone else. There is supposed to be a quiet rule after midnight, but many people seemed...
