"Costa Encantada"
Overall Hotel Rating:
This was a fantastic hotel and was very impressed by it, the staff, the rooms and the whole amenities. I went at the end of September which was out of season, which meant that it was quite quiet. The hotel is not situated in the centre of Llorett de Mar but in Fennals, but this was great as Fennals beach was only 5-10 min walk from the Hotel and if you wanted to walk to Llorett it would take about 10-15 min to walk. But the bus service was fantastic and you can get to places very easily. One day i decided to get the bus from Fennals to Blanes train statiion, from there i caught the Renfe train direct to Barcelona, much cheaper than a bus direct to Barcelona. I was self-catering at the hotel and there was one evening where i had been cooking and could not turn the light of on the cooker, i rang reception where they sent someone up straight away to deal with the problem, fast and efficiently. I would definetly go back to this hotel - 10/10

This is a lovely hotel with a fantastic, huge pool. The staff were friendly and the buffet in the evening was excellent.

"fenals"
Overall Hotel Rating:
First of all, this hotel is not situated in lloret de mar. but Fenals. A much quieter and smaller area of lloret. But ten/fifteen minute walk from lorett itself. this however was ideal for us as we were two adults (mid twenties) and a baby and small child. The hotel itself was very good. there was really nothing to complain about except one small thing, the bin in our room!. maybe we wernt clear on this. But from arriving it was never emptied. and a whole week of nappies and food doesnt smell good! we thought maybe we should empty it ourselves but there was nothing stating this. however, we stuck the stuff in carriers to save the maid hunting through it when we left. but thats all really. check in smooth and efficient. lovely spacious room. despite what others have said i found the pull out bed extremely comfy. felt like memory foam! i also liked the fact that the balcony doors where secure and in good condition. the food was great. plenty of choice. although i thought evening meal was a bit steep. costing around 40 euros for 3 of us with a bottled water. but then again we got our 40 euros worth, breakfast was about 7 euros. lovely park for kids. pool very clean, well maintained , plus lifeguard and security. all in all the hotel was probably 4 times better than anywhere i have previously stayed and a fraction of the price. We flew with ryan air very cheaply, and if u stick to their rules its a fantastic cheap holiday, (except obviously for cost of living once your there. biut i would definatley reccommend ALL inc, here) Fenals itself didnt have many family bars. even less in lloret which as i knew prior is not exactly appealing to families! we foudn a couple of nice little places to eat. one specifically had a play area we tended to go to. The beach was clean and well cared for. Having lifeguards etc a ten/fifteen minute walk. however, having been to the costa brava before twice, i did know this already, but the sea is very far form child friendly. there is a very sleep incline into the water and its waist high a few feet in. we had a few slightly windy days and one or two storms and rain (mid sept) and the waves were far too high. im a strong swimmer and i just made it in and out! the waves easily reached 8 foot (on a moderately windy day) however we did still go to the beach and had some lovely days. Its not fine sand its course sand. like grit. but i actually preferred it. diesnt get in the little ones eyes or all over the place. All in all i was very pleased with the holiday.I would recommend the area but sadly not the area for families. we like to walk and eat and let my little girl paddle, but found it restricting with children eating out there. 9/10 hotel. 5/10 for the area : ) (my little girl loved the mini disco and hotel entertainment!)

"Absolute bargain, albeit a year ago"
Overall Hotel Rating:
The hotel was an utter bargain at £9PPPN last October (FB). We arrived late to find plated meals awaiting us covered up and laid out in the restaurant and this was after a speedy and effiecient check-in. We then made our way to our room which was overlooking the bandstand and just to the left the swimming pool and was made up.
From there on in the food was very nice (It sounds daft but the onions and lettuce on the salad bar were to die for!) They also had Cava out in the morning with breakfast, watch out the hawks (diners) kept there eye on it, but you could ask them to open another bottle, hic.
Only real complaint and boy was it a big one was the noise, my word, a new guest dragging their suitcase to there room measured 8.0 on the richter scale and if your neighbours were talking you well knew about it. Fortunately we were only subjected to 6 nights of drunken revellers above for 6 out of the 10 nights.
Oh, and the pull out beds are not comfy at all. On the whole though 8.5 out of ten and 9.5 out of 10 because of how cheap it was!

"lively hotel"
Overall Hotel Rating:
i must start by saying that is one of the best hotels i have ever been to. the food was fantastic and the staff where very nice. the rooms where very spacious and spotless. no to the title of the post the 3rd week in Oct every year a colony of 750 black dutch people come and stay at this hotel. and the run riot. we where kept up to as late as 4am with them shouting and wrecking the place. the last day of our holiday we could not use the games room because it and been wrecked.we have never met such rude and ignorant people, and they all really let there country down. i think it was the fact that they bring so much money into the place the hotel staff do not want to do any thing so if you are booking in Oct then be sure to see if they can check but as i said the hotel its self is one of the best i have been in

"Great Kids Clubs at Encantada Hotel"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Big hotel. Lots of facilities. Chose this one for its superb free kids club. Further from the beach than we would have liked, other side of a major road. Excellent helpful staff. We had a problem with late-night noise from a neighbouring apartment and the staff acted appropriately and repeatedly. On-site supermarket doesnt rip you off.

"Costa Encantada"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Visited in April. Booked 1 bedroom apartment, very impressed, kitchen had fridge and freezer, and apartments were a good size. Apartment was very clean, as was rest of complex. Reception staff very helpful and always an english speaking member of staff available. Although booked self catering, we ate on the complex a couple of times and food was of a good standard. The complex is located in the Fenals area of LLoret, which has its own beach. Lloret de Mar is about 15-20 mins walk. We used the beach at Fenals which was about a 10 m in walk from our apartment.

"excellent hotel"
Overall Hotel Rating:
great hotel.. the pool was fantastic, life guard always there . the pool was cleaned along with the furniture every evening. the rooms were thoroughly cleaned most days, the staff helpful. every area was sparkling clean. cant say about the food as we went self catering but the kitchens did have everything you needed, reccomend the supermarket on the corner not the hotel shop expensive. the best place for a steak is the tobago resturant by the old queen vic pub. get the safra bus from the station if you are going to barcelona 15 euros return each . you have to book in advance. the town is buzy at night only downfall is the dodgy people who sell fake gold and tat in the main drag at night, you dont see them during the day!!! highly reccommend. enjoy your stay we did

Overall Hotel Rating:
This holiday was fantastic! the rooms were lovely n clean we were self catering but still ate in the hotel as the food was gorg! it is perfevt for us ladies as the mirror in the bathroom is full stretch of the wall and is brill for getting ready in, the staff were really nice the only let down really was if u like a party n have a few extra beers to make u worse for wear it is quite a hike back from the main strip of decent clubs n pubs, n also like a few ppl have commented if u have a late or even early nxt day flight u do get kicked out at 10am n it is 50 euros to keep it open but otherwise if u r planning on goin here u are making the rite decision!! if u r a fan of tuna mayo u must try the tuna mayo baguette Fantastic!!

"Costa Encantada review"
Overall Hotel Rating:
We were allocated a one bedroom apartment overlooking the swimming pool, the room was very clean and extremely spacious. The kitchen had more storaqge space than you could ever use. It was basically equipped but had a large oven with grill and 4 ring ceramic hob, the fridge was also large and had a separate freezer which was also on the large size.
The room was well cleaned during our stay and the towels were changed virtually every day. The only down side was the lack of hanging space in a large wardrobe.
We were self catering so did not use the restaurant, but the kids did take advantage of the snack bar at the pool which sold the usual chips, burgers, pizzas etc.
The pool area is spotless and has plenty of beds in lots of space, even though beds were still available till about 11am there were still the usual saddo's who got up at the crack of dawn to get the same beds in the same place every day. The pool area was hosed down and the pool cleaned every evening and was kept as clean and tidy as the rest of the hotel. The evening entertainment was the only thing that let the hotel down, there were one or two professional acts including a magician, hypnotist and a parrot show! The soft drinks in the disco bar were a rip off 2.10 euros for 3 ice cubes and a mouthful of coke.
Lloret wasnt our original choice of destination...its a long story but thats where we ended up!
We had a good idea of what it was going to be like and knew it wasnt going to be as tasteful or nice as other places we usually go such as the canaries or the balearics....and it certainly wasnt!!!!
The hotel is situated next to a dual carriageway and you take your life in your hands crossing it even when the lights are in your favour. The road is a cross between brands hatch and the M6 during rush hour, make sure youve made a will and your holiday insurance is valid!
The town itself is full of clubs and bars and shop after shop selling the same tacky shirts and usual rubbish thats aimed at the tourists. The resort is aimed at the young who do not venture out till midnight, but has nothing pleasant about it for the average holiday maker. The Fennals area closer to the hotel is much more pleasant and quieter. Eating out is relatively cheap but the menu at the majority of restaurants is identical and its chips with everything !!!!!!!!!The best place we found to eat was a dutch restaurant which was small in prices but big on portions and the service was excellent. To get to it cross the main road and walk down towards Fennels and turn right in front of the Royal Beach Hotel and its just on the right.
We never had a bad meal during our 2 weeks but like i said the menu's are all the same.Would we return to the Costa Encantarda? ...Definately if it was not in Lloret
Would we return to Lloret?...NO, not even for a free all expenses paid holiday...the place is really that bad.

"Costa Encantada review"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Best holiday we have had, all the reps are brill (even spike) and they did their best to ensure we had the best time, nothing was too much effort. great pools, food is ok at the hotel but we liked the lemon restrant best (try the mixed piella) the hotel staff themselves were great. Get on the bus to lorrett or the train to barcelona (bit of a journey) we got the bus to blanes and then the train in to barcelona and it was majic!! The nearby supermarket is good and you can get everything you need.
There is a free bus to marine world, that is a great day out but take a packed lunch the food there is not nice and expencive.
Have a great holiday.
