A very nice clean hotel has every thing you need for a relaxing break went as a couple just came back perfect time as most kids back at school so hotel a bit quieter room was perfect over looking the sea very clean and comfortable ample room pools were lovely just a little cold but ok once u got use to the temperature food was lovely freshley cooked omelette & crepes for breakfast every morning suitable even for the fussiest of eaters did nt stay in hotel for entertainment only reason being more suitable for familes good facilties at the hotel snack bar very good. hired bikes for a couple of hours cycled along the coast line to calella would come back again to this hotel staff very helpful & friendly only downside was the rudeness & bad manners from guests staying at the hotel from other nations !

Myself and my two teenage daughters have just arrived home after a 10 night stay at the hotel and cannot sing its praises enough. The hotel is beautiful and the hotel staff are both warm and friendly. The hotel reps were partiularly great with the kids and made the holiday as nothing was to much. The rooms are also of a very high standard and have some satelite tv channels on them. The food in the restaurant was lovely and every night had a different themed night. Overall we cannot believe the hotel is just a 3* as we are shore it should be atleast a 4* or 5*.

Went there with my partner and 3 children for 7 nights. I have been going to Spain for 20 years and this is by far the best hotel i have stayed at, lovely clean hotel, fantastic pools and great entertainment to keep the children busy.

The town of Pineda is very quiet which i enjoyed as even though i am in my 20's i don't like seeing people rolling around drunk in the evenings so this made a refreshing change. Calella is close by for a day of shopping only 5 mins on the land train (which the kids loved.

Beautiful beach though as there is a shelf that drops in the sea be careful with young children. Food at the hotel was lovely and there's plenty of choices for all but if you do off site to eat there are some lovely restaurants close by. There's a nice British run bar 5 mins walk away from the hotel called the Buccaneer so if your missing your beers from home or the kids want a fruit shoot, and to watch football etc it's a great place to spend an evening.

I'd definately go back there!!

A lovely hotel with great facilities for families. The hotel is in a quiet area which for us was great as there wasn't a lot to spend our euro's on. The two huge pools are fantastic and we got a sunbed everyday even though it was August. The rooms were large, clean and we had a sea view for no extra charge.

Stayed at the Golden Taurus with partner and child and friends for 10 nights. Cannot fault the hotel, superbly clean, good food, excellent entertainment and great value (booked through Portland Direct). Our rooms were great, just the right size, good balconies, air-conditioned and very clean. The kids club was brilliant, good choice of activities and perfect times ( 1pm - 3pm for 6-8 year olds) which is great to get them out of the sun. The prices in the bars and snack bar were really reasonable too, approx 2,40 euros for a pint of lager, 5 euros for a pizza. All of the staff (reception, cleaners, bar and restaurant) couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. The only change we would have made is to have a fridge available in the room (and available sun loungers after 7am!)

Good hotel, very clean and good food to suit all tastes. The brochure said that the resort is quiet, the trouble is they didn't say how quiet. The resort of Pineda is an absolute ghost town. Everything you need is in the hotel and thats it, there's nothing more outside.

On first arriving at hotel was quite impressed with it. Hotel room although small was spotless this could also be said for the communal areas. The kids reps (Thomson) are brilliant with the children and my 8 year old son had a fab time.

The resort itself is very quiet so if you are looking for something lively this resort is probably best avoided. I personally found the resort peaceful and relaxing.

On the down side I think that the food leaves a lot to be desired. The one thing that I did notice and didnt like at all was the fresh food was piled straight onto the old food. I thought that this was food poisioning waiting to happen so be warned be careful of what you eat and take from the front of the buffet.

However I think that you get a lot of holiday for very little money and I would recommend it as it is extremely good value for money I paid £678.00 half board for three of us in June.

Lovely hotel ideal for families. We stayed at the hotel for 10 nights in June, had an absoloutley fabulous time the staff and the reps in the hotel were absoloutely wonderful. The hotel is very nicely decorated and the rooms are very clean. We coould not understand why it only had 3* as it should of been atleast a four if not five.

The hotel was spacious and modern, we had a family suite and it was plenty of room for four of us. The food was lovely and always a good choice. Friendly staff and lots of entertainment for the younger ones. Has lovely spacious pools and lots of sunbeds. Travelled with Thomson so children had the club facilities. Excellent Thomson kids reps, Kitkat kirsty and Sneezy Sarah wonderful with the children. Had a lovely time and would love to go back.

"Great hotel!"

Returned from a 10 night stay at the end of June, we were very impressed with this hotel. All of the staff were very friendly and helpfull, the rooms (we had a family suite) were a good size and always clean . It was great not to have to get up in the early hours to reserve sunbeds - plenty to go round even at 10am. The kids club reps and Thomson entertainment staff were great, our 2 daughters loved them all! Evening entertainment a bit repetitive (kids disco etc) but probably the same in most hotels. They did have a different act on each night after the kids disco which were good. Pool areas were always clean, food was great - pleanty of choice - pancakes at breakfast were lovely! If I could complain about 1 thing - it would be that the food, ice creams and drinks are expensive at the pool bars. There is a supermarket across the road from the hotel which we used as it was much cheaper! If this hotel was to offer "All Inclusive" option - it would be perfect but I'm sure the price of the holiday would increase quite a bit. Would definitely return to this hotel again. Girls are already asking when they can see "Thomson the dog" again!

"Great hotel for a family holiday"

Overall Hotel Rating:

I stayed at this hotel in October 2008, for 10 nights holiday. The hotel is very cheap and cheerful and what you pay for is what you get. Whilst the hotel is only a 3* the room rating was much higher. The food was fabulous and every night they had themed nights from differnt countries. The holiday reps really made the holiday for all the teenagers around the hotel and stopped them getting bored...
