Tidy little resort, an abundance of shops ( all sell the same stuff) quite a few bars, a couple of night clubs, supermarkets, etc.All layed out on one long street running right into Malgret de mar.Very flat, no hills- so good for the mobile imparred among us.Suitable for all.Beach wasnt the best, but clean quite pretty, and more than adiquate.Great little train station, easy to use, trains always seemed very prompt.Overall a fantastic little resort, ideal for a weeks break!

"Great hotel for a great (cheap) holiday!"

Train to Barcelona takes about 45mins.

The hotel is in the third row back, which means only a five-minute walk to get to the beach.
There is a wide choice of food -- always salad and chips for the fussier eaters, as well as more local dishes. It can be a bit confusing as to what exactly yo...

The resort itself is lovely. It is great of an evening. Along the strip you can stroll around and look at all of the tat shops and then if you walk down a bit further you can go to the old town of Malgrat De Mar.
From around 7pm various artists and street traders set up selling things from paintings to pottery to hand made jewellery. One of the traders you must watch is a man in a wheel chair who plays his music quite loud. You will find him surrounded by people all watching this amazing artist who creates these fasinating pictures using spray cans and saucepan lids. You will be there ages as watching him is very addictive.
There is a train line that runs between the beach and the strip this is easily crossed using either the bridge or the subways (these are brightly lit at all times) We heard the trains for the 1st day but after that we didn't notice them at all.
The resort itself we cannot rate higher it has something for everyone and the people are so friendly. Everything is close at hand and for those people that do book the Royal Sun hotel there is a burger king on the strip and next door but one to the hotel is an English/Scottish pub "The Ship" who make a lovely curry and other delicious meals. Also if you buy 2 adult meals the child meal is free and for all those footie fans The Ship has full footie coverage.
The train station is about a 5 minute walk from the main hotels and you can get to Barcelona easily.
Another MUST DO is the land train. We went on it in the early evening and it was lovely as you go up into the hills and see the residential areas. Someone told us to go on it again in the dark - which we did and it was much better the views of Pineda and Malgrat were amazing and everything was lit up. The complete tour takes around 55 minutes and is 2,60 euros for children and 3,60 euros per adult.
