Tossa is a beautiful quiet place with little night life, when we tried to enter bars at about 10pm we were told they were closed and found it difficult to find anywhere willing to serve food after about 9pm. There was an abundance of pizza places but very little else. Most of the food served was either cold, slammed down in front of us or we just didn't get served at all. We are not young loud kids we are 2 couples who like a laugh and good food. Sherwoods was mentioned by others but they were the worst at being polite. Only british bar was Holly's and they were a bit more welcoming, problem was the food, breakfast was ok but the toast was like last weeks stale bread and it was impossible to cut it splintered everywhere!! My other half had a pie there and was ill for the rest of the day so avoid them!! although the steak pudding was very good. It was more expensive than other places in Spain but we used the kitchen and made a couple of cheap meals to help out. We counted 5 people smiling during a whole week. The sand is only small stones/gravel so is not particularly suitable for kids. If the people were nice I would consider buying a property in Tossa but I don't think I could stand the rudeness, I think they are too close to France!!

Just returned from a week in Tossa at the Tossa park aparthotel. We used resort hoppa for transfers with no probs dropped at door, in fact there had been an error in the booking which they solved excellently. The rooms were basic and clean with everthing we...

Tossa is a very quiet seaside resort, if you want heaving nightclubs go to Loret down the coast. Tossa is overun with places to eat so you would never go hungry there are loads mostly serving typical spanish food, there are also plenty of small bars, though imported drinks are expensive. If you want a good english based pub try Chaplins music bar, where the many of the younger locals go aswell. The castle and it's suroundings are lovely but once you have seen that there is not a lot to do. There are boats which run frequently along the coast, and also good bus service so you can explore. The shingle beach is very clean with plenty of space ideal if you have small children, teenagers could easily be bored here so beware. The only downside to our holiday was the transfers from Girona airport, what should have taken an hour took three after we went around Loret thre times dropping of and picking up people returnig to the airport, if I go again I would pre-book a taxi.

great location for easey access into Tossa, but beware there is a short but steep hill to get to the hotel. The staff are freindly and couldn'd do enough for you. On the first night I did think of ringing room service to ask for a matress as they appeared n...

The resort itself is very good fantastic for shoppers and a great beach, you can get breakfast from loads of resturants from 5 euros which is good enough....like hollys or sherwoods.Overal tossa is a quite place felt very safe walking around there anytime of the day or night i must recomend the resturant andres,s in town as this was fantastic value..you get a large starter, main meal, dessert and a drink for 10 euros.... also the chinese opposite andres,s does a great buffet for 9 euros each....eat all you can. we did the glass bottem boat which was good. The supermarket next door to the hotel is very good value for money, do your shopping in there for your essentials.hope you find this review helpfull......would i'go back there again?......yes i would just make sure you sort out the transfers.... If you have teenagers this might not be the holiday for you as there is virtuly no nightlife here....happy holidays
