"So many pools!"

This hotel is where the spanish families come for their holidays, and there are many reasons for this. It has numerous pools including normal, heated, salt water and undercover. Due to the number of pools there are tons of sunbeds and even in peak season you can get a good spot by a pool. It is directly opposite an (albeit fairly stony) beach and the hotel staff are all spanish and, unfortunately for Brits, give preferential treatment to the spanish guests. The hotel is inbetween Garrucha and Mojacar Playa (the two local towns) so you either need to drive (there is ample car parking) or use the fantastic bus service which stops right outside the hotel and is very simple to use/navigate. The cleanliness is brilliant, and the breakfast is great. There is a small and expensive on site shop and also a pub/bar. If you are a Brit looking for a busy hotel with lots of entertainment and restaurants/bars in stumbling distance then this is not a hotel for you, but if you want a quiet hotel with good amenities, a non commercial beach opposite and are prepared to drive/bus it to the touristy areas then this is perfect for you. It also has fantasticly cheap rooms out of season, more so than some of the other local hotels.

Excellant hotel. Very clean and spacious. Rooms had 2 double beds. Excellant location. Beach just across the road. Beach a little stoney, normal for the area. Weather was fantastic, Apr, although pools and seal were cold. Hotel had an excellant covered outdoor pool. Like a greenhouse. Kids loved it while we sunbathed outside. Food was excellant. Area was very quiet, ideal for a weeks break durning easter or school oct week.

Entertainment and staff mostly Spanish. Great opportunity to learn the language. Our kids were learning words after only a week. Going back in Oct school week. Mojacar village in the mountain is one of the most stunning places in Spain. MUST have a car.

This appealing hotel is situated next door to the Oasis Tropical at the far end of the resort. Opposite a gritty beach the hotel is in a more residential area, very quiet with little going on around it. A great chilling out place but would leave the younger set tearing their hair out. Only two years old it is very contemporarily furnished and because it is built up a slight hill, the reception is on the 3rd floor and all the amenities down below on the 1st floor. Good outdoor area with swimming pools and many sunbeds, even in mid summer I think there would always be some available.

good restaurant with a large variety of food on offer. Not always to the British tastes but you would definately not starve. Much ";show"; cooking of meats. My only gripe would be that the restaurant didn't open for evening dinner until 8pm, a little late for us. Rooms were spacious and our ";twin"; had two double beds. There's a small fridge, balcony with chairs and table and safety deposit box (charge) There was no tea/coffee making facilities but there was a coffee shop on the ground floor along with a gift shop that sold newspapers.

Some nights there was low key entertainment which was very pleasant although I suspect not enough for some people, though it must be realised this was October. Would we return to this hotel? Yes, I think we would if we were looking for a short break just to chill out. The busier end of the resort would be the place to head for if you wanted touristy shops and restaurants but then if you are in a hotel on half board you don't need the restaurants. This is a straightforward account of how we found the hotel and resort.
