We booked this at the last minute for my wife's birthday.

A very good resort. There are not any tacky shops not too many loud Brits. This resort mainly attracts the Spanish and Germans. The beaches are some of the best I have ever seen with 8km of them.

The commercial centre has a few shops and a handful of bars/restaurants. all are very good serving cheap drink and excellent food.

The hotel is large but doesn't feel like it. The staff are always smiling and friendly. The food is top class with a different selection every night.

I would recommend Costa De La Luz if you want a quiet relaxing, sunny holiday.

We have just returned from one of the best holidays ever! If you are thinking of going to this hotel it is fantastic.

We booked a family room ( which is in a separate wing overlooking the pool and sea area) the room has a seperate bedroom and a large lounge area with two giant sofas that have the bottom matress made as a bed so you just take the cushions off at night. Air conditioning is great. They are sound proofed so when you go to bed you here nothing!

The food was amazing what a choice...every night they had a salad bar and a pasta bar then on top masses of specialities, they had an Italian night and Tex Mex and Andalucian and Oriental. Hotel also offers an all inclusive rate for food and drinks, available on arrival - not something mentioned in brochure - but this does not mean long queues for drinks at the barand loads of half drunk glasses every where.I thought that 2 weeks at the same place would be boring! How wrong could I be. When we arrived our only complaint was there was no childrens menu we spoke to the Restaurant manager and 3 days later a full Menu enfant was set up with Chicken nuggets, sausages etc perfect and there was always chips!!! The waiters, the reception and the entertainments team were so lovely and helpful, after portugal and sour faces last year this was a welcome surprise!

I would describe the clientel as international it was a real mix I would say 25% british 25% Spainish 25% German and a mix of Dutch Norwegians etc it was lovely as there was no majority. Tons of sunbeds no need to fight! The pool is cold but really clean and it was so hot it was really refreshing. The breeze most days was very pleasant and helped make the temperature feel hot but not baking hot.

There are 2 pools one aimed at families and one at adults. The beach was amazing really clean and you just walk through the dunes to a really large empty beach which you could walk for miles! The sea was cold but not as freezing as the Algarve in Portugal. The resort was really clean and modern. Opposite the hotel was a shopping centre with a supermarket and a few shops and bars that had everything you could need but NO nightlife. Hotel entertaiment was good with live music most nights and shows in the hotel theatre - often choice of two shows if you include the Iberostar hotel next door which is only a 2 minute stroll away, there is no problem going between hotels to see other shows.

Nova Sancti Petri Golf course very good with choice of 2 x 18 hole courses and only 5 minutes walk away or 1 minute by golf shuttle bus. 'A' course slightly harder than 'B' course but if windy both courses can be very tricky yet still enjoyable. Views out to sea on several holes and various lakes and waterfalls around both courses make for a very attractive and enjoyable round of golf. Clubs can be hired with 1/2 set costing 18 euros per round - I took my own clubs but was informed that the hire clubs were resonable quality.

Gibralter only 1hr 20mins drive away and worth a visit just to experience the strange feeling of everything being suddenly very British including Safeways supermarket exactly like in England!! Queue to get across border 15 mins but to come out back into Spain 50 mins!!!
Thomas Cook reps very good and visit hotel regularly.

what a lovely enjoyable relaxing holiday,The hotel was great food great location brill and the entertainment with john luc and co smashing.our room had a side sea view, which we asked for and overlooked one of the two pools, lovely and quiet.part of the hotel although the hotel itsself was just buzzing not too noisy.

The resort was adequate good bus service too other places at cheap fares,we wanted a restful quiet holiday, and got it.the hotel food was so plentiful and lots of choice.

We would definately go there again.
Happy Holidays
