We only visited Benalmadena once during our trip as we were all inclusive. However it is a lovely place, the municipal park is excellent for a walk and a great kids park in there. It is just up the road from the windmill roundabout. The horbour is also worth a look.

quite good. Make good use of local bus service to get around.Bus service, suggest that bus passes are introduced to cover 2/3 days travel.

Very clean and interesting especially if you make the effort to go to the old town, also the Park which is truely beautiful. Very nice marina and an interesting walk along the promanade to Torremallinus.

Not to keen on resort. Maybe because we went early in the year but most of the shops and bars in town were closed. Not very inviting

great had a ball will go back next year first choice reps were realy good with all the people round the pool kept them entertaned great fun

Only ventured into the resort twice. We took a boat trip from the mariner and saw loggerhead turtles. Reasonably priced and included beer, wine, soft drinks. We didn't try the local bars or resturants. We took a trip in the cable cars, not for those scared of heights, but amasing views at the top. There is also a falconry centre at the top. Paid a visit to Selwo Marina, it is expensive for what you get but if you get the multiy ticket which includes the cable cars and selwo aventura it is not bad and the kids loved the paly area and dolphins here. There is a lovely public park La Paloma, it has chickens, peacocks, turtles and a good play area for the kids. If you wanted a change from the beach it is a nice place to take a picnic. You can get a city sightseeing tour bus here tickets valid fro 24hrs and it is a hop on hop off service.

Excellent resort that has something for everyone.

Beaches are excellent and the Promendade and Marina areas are beautiful

One bar we would recommend is Pinoccios Lounge Bar a little along the promenade. The food and hospitality was excellent and we can't wait for our next tapas in the sun!

Lots to do in and around Benalmadena, bus or taxi recommended though as everything is a bit out of the way.

we didnt get much of a chance to see the town of benalmedina as we were tied to all inclusive due to unforseen circumstances we were not made aware of.

While we were there it seemed very quiet but that suited us. There had been a few muggings in Torremilinos...so be very careful.Our hotel was on the edge of both resorts. Lot of "special Price"....Watches,bags and sunglasses along the esplanade. The marina is lovelyy and very beautiful in the evenings.

We went to Gibraltar for a trip (did the whole thing - Rock, Monkeys, WW2 tunnels, little shopping and dolphin trip) It was good but very rushed. We wBeachwise it was only a 5 minute walk to the steps leading to carvajal beach,the real start of fuengirola beach,lovely sand,massive space and plenty of beds,nice shallow sea too with a few bars/tavernas.no idea where all the moaners get their ideas from but the location is fine,what's the problem with taking a 1 euro bus ride for 5-10 minutes to see some life?! ill go back but will hire a car.

Very nice place but not to good if you have kids in pushchairs very hilly. But the sea is clean beaches need to be abit of looking after.Overall very nice to place to walk round and feel safe.

Nice resort but very quiet out of season with most of the "evening" bars empty. If you are looking for non-summer night-life, dont go.

A few places to eat along the beach, you can just stay in your hotel if gone AI and you do not have to spend any money ! But if gone SC you may struggle, also expensive to eat out and buy food I would imagine, you can upgrade to AI on the day you arrive & get 10% off I think, I would recommend to do this !!!!! I think most Holiday Villages are in the middle of nowhere so I was aware of this when I booked the hotel, you can also book this hotel independently just go to Holiday World website, there are 2 other hotels nextdoor which are all Holiday World and they all share the Beach Club. This hotel is very safe, security as you enter and all gated, with CCTV cameras.

Typical spanish/brit resort. Nice harbour and some nice walks. We went to Fuengirola zoo and I was quite impressed (although it cost us nearly £50 for 2 adults and 1 kid). Bit pricey too, the recession is biting and businesses are struggling. You will need transport from the hotel, as it's too far down a busy highway to walk.
