"Hotel Bali"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Stayed at Bali hotel in feb 2010 all inclusive, there was 11 of us aged from 45 to 75, we always go on holidays in a group n no matter where we go we always av a gud laugh n a joke. We also met up with anotha couple from home that travelled the day afta us, although they were in a different hotel. The hotel was very clean, maid service daily with clean towels n toilet rolls, meals were quite gud, neva ad 2 eat out. Most of the staff were pleasant n freindly, although in the main bar there were a couple of staff very ignorant n took ages 2 get served. We went 2 a little bar at bottom of road called Busbys, which av turns on, drag act Terri Fox who we thought was very funny n down 2 earth, singer rob stevens, whos worth goin 2 see, owner of Busbys Roger is also their dj who played wot eva we asked 4 on karaoke, def worth goin if ya into karaoke n like a gud laugh n a joke. We r goin bk 2 Benalmadena next yr to celebrate Sheila & George's 50th wedding anniversary, can't wait, would reccomend it 2 any 1.

"Great Holiday"
Overall Hotel Rating:
This is our second visit to this hotel. For the money I cannot fault it. Always need to diet on our return home as the food and choice is excellent. OK so its not 'posh' but suitable for every taste, and you eat as much as you want. Very central to all that is going on but unsuitable location for those with walking difficulties as up a short hill. Staff very friendly. Rooms clean and everything you need, including a colour TV with some British channels and a hairdryer in the bathroom. Will certainly be going back for a third stay.

"Hotel Bali October 2009"
Overall Hotel Rating:
We have just got back from Hotel Bali Benalmadena and have had a great time. The hotel itself is clean and nicely presented. Three swimming pools, having three young children the kiddies pool was excellent for our family. We had read comments about cardiac hill being really hard to walk up but we are not particulary fit adults and didn't find the hill that bad and we had to push a pushchair up and down it. For the last four days of our holiday we decided to go all inclusive, the food was good, the staff in resaurant were really friendly and helpful. Although some times when we went to bar for our drinks the bar staff seemed more reluctant to serve the all inclusive customers and served paying customers knowing they would get a tip from them.

"Bali Hotel "
Overall Hotel Rating:
We have just returned from a fab family holiday (5 Adults, 2x 12 yr olds, 7 yr old, 5 yr old and a 1 yr old) at the Bali, it's our 3rd time we've stayed and our best yet. We had an excellent room on the 4th floor of Bali Block II, great sea views and rooms were very spacious (we had 3 beds, a sofa bed and cot in) and still had a lot of room to walk around etc. The room was cleaned every day without fail with clean towels put out. Three pools, but we stayed down by the toddler pool, it has a grassed area ideal for toddlers to walk/crawl around and just up the steps is a bigger pool where we could take our older kids (7 & 5). We went All Inclusive on the 2nd day of our trip as Under 8s were free and is cost E15 per adult per day for us, well worth the money considering you have water, pop, milkshakes and alcohol on tap from 11am - 11.30pm everyday. Not to mention the food, something for everyone, chips every night, but kids love chips. Entertainment was varied, but the team did a great job. Out of all the Nights defo recommend the Micheal Jackson tribute, 600 people gave a standing ovation..BRILLIANT. Location is great, yes you've got the hill but you can stop off at Pacho's or Murphys Place for a drink half way. Beach is at the bottom of hill across road and exactly 69 steps down (carried the buggy up and down once, then found easier way about 200yds along the road. Bonanza square is about 400 meters up from the hotel, well worth a visit, great atmosphere, nice chinese resturants and canny British Bars (Johnnie's is good crack). You get hounded by the lucky lucky men, but that's life when your on your jollies, they soon leave when you say NO. Paloma Park about half a mile from hotel, kids will love it, wild rabbits, chickens, Cockrels, all running loose along with some huge fish and tarrapins in the lake, two nice bars at either corner. Fuengirola 30 mins on the air-conditioned bus (1.25 Euro per person) and worth a trip to the Zoo (buy tickets from hotel if possible as cheaper) and Mijas is the same distance in time and price but up the mountain (Donkey rides 10 euro per person around the town). Great Italian resturant with superb views of the coast from the top of the mountain, a must if you go there. Harbour is a 15 minute walk along beach front once down past the (69) steps, nice Irish bar on the top with good food. If you want to go a boat ride then cheapest is the Starfish Ferry to Fuengirola (1hr there and 1 hr back) 13.50 euro per adult return and 7.50 euro a child return, a nice and easy boat trip and cheaper than all the dolphin trips, and guess what, we seen dolphins..ha ha, so who knows.. I would definately recommend this hotel and resort to any family with children from a few months old to 16 years, their's something for everyone. Will be definatley be going back an All Inclusive is the way from now on..
PS, Weather was Excellent, so it helped

"Wouldn't stay again"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Not keen on this hotel - we supposedly had a pool view - but seeing the studio was on floor 0 - in the basement - the pool was above us and all we had in front of us was a wall. The studio walls were too thin and we had to move rooms because of rowdy neighbours coming in at 5am every morning. We asked to move and was given a room on the 3rd floor which was much better with a partial sea view between tower blocks and a pool view although it was a smaller studio with the same layout. The balcony was too narrow I thought. The carpet in the hotel was dirty and worn and we didn't have our room cleaned once - even when I put out the card asking for it to be cleaned. The card disappeared but the room remained uncleaned. I found the staff not very smiley although quite efficient.

Overall Hotel Rating:
I have just returned from the Hotel Bali in Benalmadena after going with a group of 7 other girls for a hen party. I really couldn't fault the hotel and its facilities. We arrived at 10 o'clock at night. Check in was very quick and easy, and the hotel staff had even saved us some salads for our tea! The rooms were fine - no mod cons but absolutely spotless. The maids came round daily and changed the towels etc. There are 2 main pools and a kids pool within the hotel. Both adult pools had plenty of sun loungers and they also had a pool bar each too. The hotel runs an entertainment programme every night of the week which seemed ok but we didn't really stay to watch it as we went out at night. Food was nice (much better than i expected it to be) There is alot of choice at breakfast and again for tea. Everything was kept well stocked so nothing ran out. The only thing i could suggest with the food is that they get another toasting machine coz sometimes there was a wait but it wasn't the end of the world.

Excellent hotel....up a hill so not suitable for all. We went all-inclusive & food was excellent - great variety & well cooked. Room was very comfortable & very clean with view of sea. Children enjoyed it very much.....2 pools plus a kiddies pool & plenty of sunbeds. Cannot find a bad thing to say about this hotel. Would highly recommend it & would definitely go again !

"BED BUGS, BED BUGS, BED BUGS!!!!!"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Whilst staying at this hotel, my husband woke up with bites a number of times, but there were no signs of mosquitos. On returning home, he continued to be bitten, as did my young daughter, even more so. We have since discovered it is bed bugs, horrible little blood sucking creatures that come out at night. The creatures are well hidden during the day in the crevices of the mattress or anywhere that's well hidden. Some people are immune to their bite, but beware, as they must have come back in the suitcases. I wish we had never gone to the Bali Hotel, as we have now had to call out the Environmental Health, as they are so difficult to get rid of. BEWARE - STEER CLEAR OF THIS BUG INFESTED HOTEL!!!!!

Overall Hotel Rating:
Hotel located on a very steep hill a short walk from the beach. Not really suitable for those with walking dsabilities. The hotel itself was excellant. Half board, food was excellant something for everyone and plenty to eat. Rooms although small and a little dated were comfortable and equiped with tv and hair dryer. 3 swimming pools of varying depth suitable for all ages. Lots of sunbeds although not really enough for the amount of peopl in the hotel and definitely not enough parasols.Bars and restaurants very good. Entertaiment ok. Staff tried hard and worked nearly all day/eve. some evenings very good other evenings not as good. Overall a very nice hotel that I would definitely recommend

"hotel bali review"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Spent a week at Hotel Bali with husband, daughter and her friend (both aged 14). Hotel typical 3 star spanish. Rooms adequate and kept clean, two nice pool areas, plenty entertainment throughout the day and in the evening. We were all inclusive so as much food and drink as you like up until 12 midnight. The only gripe we had about this was that half way through the way they decided that if you were on all inclusive you could only have two drinks at a time, so both my husband and I had to go to the bar. You had to wait quite a while to get served for drinks at the inside bar as there is no queueing system and the bar staff seemed very slow, miserable and totally stressed! The worst part of our holiday was that our room was in the middle of two parties of young spanish, who kept us awake every night except the last night. Who goes on holiday and spends the entire evening in their hotel room? My husband shouted at them, I banged on the wall and the door telling them to be quiet but they took no notice. In the end we complained to reception and they sent a security guard up. However we had to complain on three separate occasions and in the end they took the spanish party downstairs and would not let them back to their rooms until 8 in the morning. So I would not go back to this hotel, as I spoke to two other people who were having the same problem. We wanted a realaxing time, I know you don't get as much sleep on holiday as you can hear doors banging and people coming and going, but we had only a couple of hours each night if we were lucky. My daughter and her friend however had a great time, made lots of friends and didn't want to come home.

I was a solo traveller as i was visiting family who live in Benalmadena and i had a twin room which was very spacious with room cleaned daily, clean towels daily too. I stayed half board and found the food very good with plenty of choices, sometimes spoilt for choice

"winter break"
Overall Hotel Rating:
We booked this holiday only a week before going and have not been to this resort area before. The hotel is at the top of "cardiac hill" and it is hard going to try to walk all the way up from the beach without a rest but not too bad from the main road and bars. The hotel staff were very good and friendly. Food was good and plentiful with lots of choice, the only problem in this area being the queues for tea and coffee in the mornings. The rooms are very dated and the walls were very thin making it very noisy at times. Our mattresses were also feeling their age and the springs were felt through the thin padding, however we did see a pile of new mattresses in the garage under the hotel so it looks like they are replacing some of them. Having said that, the hotel was very very clean and room service was exemplary, the maids very efficient and clean towels whenever you need them also clean sheets almost every day. Plentiful hot water from the shower/bath and a few toiletries free as well. The staff seem to be making alot of effort for the guests so that the other things didn't seem to matter so much. We were well fed and the heating was good, and we felt that we had definately had value for our money, except that drinks were quite expensive in the hotel but they had three happy hours each week. Entertainment was average but they did make an effort. Bars around the hotel were alot cheaper. The hotel is situated a short walk from the marina which is well worth a visit and the resort itself is lovely and well situated for visiting other areas. One last note - if you want to avoid excess baggage charges on the flight home add at least 3kg to the weight given on the scales at the hotel. We were told by the thomson rep that if we weighted our cases then we could fill them with our drinks allowances up to the full allowances. We only had 2.5kg spare capacity left between us so did not put anything extra in our luggage but still got stung at the airport for being over weight. so watch out even if you don't take anything extra back ( we didn't buy anything and used up alot of toiletries) - on the way out no comment was made or extra charges levied but on the way back the scales at Malaga weigh heavier than those at the hotel or those at home airport. It therefore cost us 45 euros so watch out!
