Benalmadena Holiday Reviews

Benalmadena is a very nice resort just about a 20 minute stroll along the beach to Torremolinos. It has a very nice marina which has numerous bars and restaurants which offer reasonable prices and the bars offer happy hours throughout the day so it's an ideal place to sit out and people watch. Not a great deal to do but if the sun is out the beach is very nice and clean to spend the day. We got a hire car and visited Gibralter which is highly recommended. If you don't drive you can pick up a day excursion from various travel agents around Torremolinos.

Took one trip into Benalmadena to the beach. Transportation links excellent and cheap, bus stop directly outside hotel. Beach horrible, though clean. Did not venture out in the evenings as looked tacky, noisy and like a UK resort abroad with all the Irish bars etc, not our scene at all. That said, we only chose the resort for the all inclusive hotel on offer, so fully expected this to be the case and it did nothing to ruin our holiday.

A small, sunny town with friendly locals. Situated well between Fuengirola and Torremolinos. We spent most of our time at the hotel - which provided everything you could wish for - so didn't see too much of the town. There were many bars, restaurants and hotels - some right on the beach. There was a nearby train station, so an ideal location to travel to Marbella and Puerto Banus.

nice clean beach, but didnt really venture much further! lots of steps down to beach, so made it difficult with buggy. At night streets around hotel seemed busy and noisy, but nothing out of the ordinary for any resort abroad.

Benalmadena is a nice resort, lovely beach and plenty of restaurants. It is only a few minutes walk to Torremolinos which is good for a change. The marina is lovely.

Actually only went into resort one evenig so cannot really comment. Just came on to comment on Holiday Village Hotel

Typical Costa Del Sol resort , perfect if you like your package holiday resorts. Plenty to do , reasonable price food & drink. Beach good.

very nice resort plenty of bars and shops nice beach nice marina prices are good with a good selection on offer beach at the bottom of a small incline but there is a road that leads around to it

Benalmadena is just a cheap looking seaside resort - it sells tacky stuff, has 2 MacDonalds and 1 Burger King. If you're wanting English food it has it by the bucket load. If you're after Spainish culture forget it.

The only good thing is that from Benalmadena you can visit lots of other places!!!!

we stayed just outside Benalmadena and are glad we did. The whole resort looks tired with mess on the streets and grafitti everywhere. If you like wall to wall greasy spoons and Irish pubs then I suppose its heaven, but tacky souvenir shops are not our thing. Nothing remotely Spanish about the place, you may as well be in Blackpool! Go to Fuengirola, its much nicer.

This really is "Eng-ger-land" in spain isn't it? not a word of spanish ever spoken. all the restaurants serve only english food, and not only that, the menu's consist only of pictures of the food so even the illiterate brits can order just my pointing and "i want that one".

The marina area is worth a visit.Cant coment on eating out.My brother and his family went to the water park.It was so hot even the locals were fainting.Had to line up for ages to get onto flumes etc.

Didn't get to see much of this resort, but it seemed to have plenty of water sports activities, nice restaurants and a lovely picturesque marina.

We only went to Benalmadena twice and on both times there was loads to do. More if we had spent time looking around. Marina was nice!
