Hotel was much better than I had expected. The room appeared newly furbished, extremly clean and very modern.

An ideal hotel for families and all generations of a family. Two pools one with lots of entertainment going on and another quieter pool.

Staff were friendly and a wide range of food every night in the restaurant.

My only negative remark would be that the restaurant resembled a school canteen with children running everywhere and people desperate to get to the food. However, it was much nicer sitting outside of the restaurant.

A very enjoyable stay.

We have just spent eight nights in the Sol Principe and cannot fault it.
The rooms are large and spotlessly clean, towels changed every and bedding three times during our stay. Breakfast and dinner are very good with a great variety of dishes at both meals. Heating and aircon and completely refurbished bathrooms. New 21";tele in the room with Sky news, BBC World and CNN in English language. Access to the beach is via a gate that is operated by your room electronic key.
One nice touch is that the lift buttons are Braille coded. Staff very pleasant but 9.50 For a bottle of house red is a bit steep. The same wine is 2.10 in the Supersol across the road.

All in all a very good hotel and will be visiting here again.

The sol principe is a beautiful hotel, the rooms have air-conditioning, very welcome when it is 42º. The dinners were good lovely soups and an excellent selection for the main course, great desserts also. The hotel complex is made up of the hotel, shops and apartments the latter overlooks the main pool, where there seemed to always be children's activities going on (with the adults joining in to).

It is about a mile to torremolinos centre, if you are fit it is a slight climb of a walk, if not go out the hotel main door turn left cross the road fifty yards up there is a bar called the bus stop, from there you can get a bus into the town centre for 1.05 euros, meant to be every half hour but I think it comes when it feels like it, a little further up (at the roundabout) there is a taxi rank for 5 euros it will do the same journey. The bar at the bus stop has a quiz and bingo every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday Alan and his wife Sue are the owners who will make you feel more than welcome, incidentally Alan was in the sixties group hedgehoppers anonymous, song it's good news week.

The hotel has a quieter pool at the front mainly for adults or a minute from the beach, if you have children this hotel is ideal, and if you don't it is still A1.This hotel lives up to it's 4 star rating

hi, just back , june 2006, stayed for 1 week, me and my partner, and could not wait to come home, weather fantastic, hotel food great, entertainment very poor. worse i have ever seen.

If you have children under 7, or you are over 70 then this is the hotel for you, from morning till late at night either childrens activity or ballroom dancing music, this is all it caters for. i was bored senseless. teenagers just seem to wander round aimlessly, just nothing for them to do, disco in the basement was also a joke, as this was not even open, children just ran riot all the time , just no escaping from them, they say the pool at the front of the hotel is for adults, what a joke, screaming crying kids everywhere, we both love kids, but hey, believe me, the parents just let the kids run riot, no control over them at all, so we spent most of our time on the beach.

the hotel restaruant , again kids running riot, very noisy, very very busy no matter what time you went to eat, we both felt we had to rush our meals as you could not relax , everybody to seem to be charging about, certainly not relaxing.

resort very poor, no life or buzz in the place, i swear i never heard any music for the whole week, okay the football was on, but i swear not 1 place had any entertainment or music on at all. we walked and walked the place, just nothing, but restarunts, no bars to just have a drink.

I personally would never use this chain of hotels again, or visit the costa del sol. we seen enough.

this is far the worse holiday i have ever been on, my fault as i picked it, even after reading the reviews, it sounded great, i just do not know where it went wrong ??
