The beaches, restaurants and nightlife are excellent, however the cost of food and drink are a little bit expensive. Salou has also a great Theme Park called Port Aventura.

I loved salou - the beaches were lovely, sandy and much fun. didn't see much of the nightlife but it looked fine. I liked the shopping.

Have been going to Salou for a number of years, despite the development it still feels a small friendly resort. Not sure about what its like in the main season but it was not too busy in June. As for Portadventura, its a cracking theme park, and as much as I hate to say this its far better than any one in the UK. Weather was warm and sunny start of June, but we did have some clouds with rain, thunder and lightening in the late evening.

Salou is a nice place, the beach is beautiful and the fountains on the main promenade are really well done, the boardwalk is also very nice and the restraunants and bars are plentiful. One thing I would say is that the shops on the seafront and bopardwalk sell mostly the same things but if you go down the side streets you can get nicer, different gifts-and they seem to be more open to bartering which is brillaint if you fancy a brgain! Went to PortAventura theme park, we bought our tickets in the UK which saved a lot of money as they are very expensive to buy in resort. Found the park to be good, very well designed with nice shops (although they are expensive) and shows but the rides are excellnt (don't leave without going on the Dragon Kahn rollercoaster and the Hurakan Condor!) However, the queues are VERY long at times- we waited almost two hours in the blistering heat for one ride! We found they ease slightly aroung four in the afternoon and its cooler then, too.

The nearest resort is Salou, I walked there most days when my wife and son went for a sleep in the afternoon. To get there from the hotel just head down the drive and turn left when you come to the roundabout afollow this road staight past the first round aboutthen down to the next one where the tourist information centre is, if you head straight on past this all roads lead to the beach so you can't really get lost. There are a couple of large supermarkets in this area. Salou its self is pleasant with plenty of bars and shops.

The black bull is also a nice pub for a quick bite to eat. We also drank in the ibrox bar and the rovers return during the week which was also two good pubs. The cafe right beside the ibrox bar does really good food including a great roll and sausage with black pudding(for us scots)!! The rovers return as the name suggests is a great english themed bar, during the day it was very quiet but really nice, the owner always asked us if we would like a movie put on for us which was really nice and the price of the drinks wasnt too bad either (just dont order cider anywhere in salou its about £4 a bottle, also the canned juices can be expensive like irn bru or pepsi at two euros per can, stick to draught) At night the rovers return was good fun, there were some kids games which even i found fun and I hate kids, plus there was a pop quiz, deal or no deal and a raffle. There were also beautiful restaurants along the sea front which I would recommend. We went to the Aquopolis in la pineda it was good but food was expensive and dont walk there it took us nearly an hour not realising that a bus takes you straight to it and it only takes 20 mins and costs 3 euros 50 for two singles. Only downside I found to Salou was: how the people try to hassle you into buying something in the stalls and that on the first few days my partner and I were offered drugs by someone pretending to work for the restaurants.

Great resort, quieter than its neighbour, Salou but in my opinion much better. Lovely 3km beach and promenade with shops, tapas bars, cafes etc. Fountains, water features, sculptures and palm trees adorn the sea front. Water Park Aquopolis along the seafront and Port Aventura a short bus ride away.

The hotel was close to the beach and the promonade is long enough for a good walk and a few beers as there are plenty of bars and restaurants if you wish to go outside of the all inclusive deal. A mix of nice restaurants, little bars (some Spanish and some English and then some more for the night owls, although havign been to Aya Napa and San Antonio in my day I would not recommend this to clubbers. There is also a playground onsite and one a further up the beach if you want to get away. The beach is really nice and has very regular hut/bars for refreshments and portaloos (although not for wheelchair users). There is a water park which is really close to the hotel / beach. Roads and buses looked good too.

We would recommend taking the day trip to barcelona football ground, where you can explore on your own for 27 euros, they take you into the city centre for a couple of hours to do some shopping, its only an hour away, it was a brillaint day.
The weather was around 25 degrees each day, so it was still really hot and we came back with lovely tans. Salou its self is lovely, everything is so near this hotel, its in a brillant location. We would defiantly recommend this hotel and Salou.
