La Pineda is one of the best resorts I have been to, What a beautiful place, lovely long very clean beach. Loads of benches to sit on, on the promenade to watch over the sea, plenty of shops and good market on Fridays and the aquapark which is fab.

Plenty of buses and little train to take you to Salou (went there once glad we stayed in la pineda much prettier).

Went on a family day cruise with firstchoice/thomsons from Cambrills to la pineda andback, what a lovely fun trip would recommenfdto anyone.

The great thing about La Pineda if you have trouble getting about and your in a wheelchair or your baby is in a pushchair this resort is well set upfor it , easy to cross all roads as the pavement are lowered with ramps which is great this was a bonus for me as been to other places and they have not very accesable for a buggy so la pineda a great place for young families and older people

Beaches and local town are good. Beaches are excellent for young kids. Excellent promenade, nice bars and ice cream parlours.

Can be as busy or as quiet as you like Lots to keep the kids happy Lovely promenade to walk along Good shops

Very family orientated by day and early evening lovely shops and plenty ofchoice for all budgets. However very busy with night clubs late evening and too busy for kids but hotels have great family entertainment.

only went to salou once , not that impressed, but we didnt want to mleave our hotel anyway as everything we needed was there.

the resort was fantastic much better than salou itself. the beach from our hotel was close by so not much walking. you can catch the bus to salou and buy a bus pass so it is much cheaper (bus passes you can get from the tobacco stores). we went to portaventura theme park which was good but the longest we qued for a ride was 3hours so buy a que jumper pass when you get there it will be worth the money. we also went to the aquatic park which is within portaventura and this was really good for adults and kids.

Good resort for a week in the sun. Not really as your main 2 week break. With the exception of Port Aventura and Barcelona there is not much else to see.

Salou was very flat and easy to walk. The beaches are nice and clean. Plenty of bars and restaurants for all prices. It was very dated. It was like stepping back into the 80's

Excellent Spanish resort suitable for anyone, beaches are beautiful with very clean public toilets along the front. Beware your choice in hotel as you could end up in the youth partying area.

Cap Salou is right in the middle of La Pineda and the main resort of Salou. It has all the entertainment and facilities you could need on a family holiday, beach, shops, bars, restaurants, play areas, etc. If you want the bigger town and more choice of shops, you are only a 5 minute bus journey away from Salou. 5 minutes in the other direction is La Pineda, which is postcard picturesque. It has a relaxed, peaceful feel about it, and has a beautiful green-flag beach which seems to stretch for miles. This is where you will find Aquapolis water park - well worth a visit. The slides are great, but the twice-daily sea lion / dolphin shows are even better! You can even have your picture taken with a sea lion for 12.50 euros. If you want th hustle bustle of the weekly market at Bona Vista, your bus journey will take about 25 minutes (same direction as La Pineda). You can't get lost or go wrong as there are PLANA bus guides at almost every stop to advise you which bus you need.

You will not find a better beach, great for young families. Salou is very flat which is good if you have prams to push, or maybe just struggle with walking. It is scenic and pretty, with a good mix of English and Spanish. There are lots of things to do, Barcelona is a must to visit. Also Port Aventura is on the door step and suitable for everyone, not just those who like the big rides as there are lots of shows. It is well worth buying a weekly pass prior to travelling and then spend the days on the beach and the nights at Port Aventura when it is slightly cooler and the queues are shorter. The best time to visit if you have small children is June / Sept where we still found temperatures around 30 but in July and August it can get very hot.

Lots of English pubs with people trying to get you in by telling you it's "just like at home",which is not really what we go abroad for! Lot's of lookey-lookey men and people generally trying to get you buy something. Beaches are lovely and of course there is Portaventura and Costa Caribre water park which are both fab!

visited salou many times and still the great attraction it's been for years with clean safe beaches especially the small coves to the north of the main beach.Ideal for couples and families alike.

.........Found beach ,,but if u like me have a pushchair you will struggle ..but worth the struggle as nice little beach

the resort of La Pineda was quiet in early June but very relaxing,didnt go out at night as everything we needed was in the complex
