Great resort for families with younger children although older kids would really like the water park which is on the doorstep (almost) of Sol D'or Hotel.

Great place for a fanily holiday. A bit pricey to eat out. Very busy beach but we took the local bus to La Pineda and that was much prettier. Would also recommend the Catamaran trip from Cambrils. Great relaxing trip and fab views of the mainland. Short transfer time from Reus airport( 30mins )was a plus also.

It is obvious to anyone who has visited Salou previously that it's changing it's target group and trying to attract more of the 18 - 30 crowd and less of the family market. That might be ok in the short-term, but it could harm them in the long run.

The resort itself, even though we really enjoyed our holiday, we found the resort very expensive and the evening entertainment was limited unless you went to the bar.

Port Aventura is fantastic and its worth going just to visit here if you can.

Food even though it was expensive, was nothing special, and if your just looking for a cheap week in the sun I would look at the canaries instead.

We got a bus to Salou once in the week we were there and our grandson didnt like it that much. It seemed hectic but it is probably okay. We were glad we were staying at Cap Salou.

Whilst the hotel is only about 10 minutes walk from the beach, you need to cross some pretty busy main roads to get there so take care as stopping at red lights seems to be optional for some drivers. Salou itself is nice, the beach is beautiful and I have to say the weather for October was glorious. The kids club reps seemed excellent (they work for First Choice) and the children loved them. On the whole, would I go back to Salou .... yes, would I stay again at the Costa Dorada Palace ? Not if they paid me !

Salou is a fanastic resort for families and teenagers, I have been 3 times and would definatly return again.

Salou is a very busy town with plenty of restaurant choices and plenty of things to see and do and it is suitable for all ages.

This resort was very good and we found the best curry we had ever tasted at The corner house just up from the Happy drinker, we were recomended to the resturant by the manager of the happy drinker and its was brilliant !!!

salou is a lovely place, the town centre is amazing. The beach is very big, great for everyone. Plenty of shops and reastaraunts. An alround place, cant complain about anything. Everyone was very friendly.

Very busy,bustling resort of an evening the world and his army head to the promanard at the beach,you can see why waterfountains all light up,entertainers,clean,lovely long walk to fill an evening.

Really suprised how busy Salou was! lots of hen and stag parties. The weather was amazing the whole week we were there easily topping 40 degrees. Just to the left of the apartments is a restaurant/bar called Sinatras it really does the best breakfast we have ever had and at 5 and a half euros its amazing value as its got a free tea/coffee thrown in, seeing the size of this breakfast is believing lol and a fab way to start the day. One thing, stay away from Bonavista market, my friends bag was slashed and her purse stolen within 3 minutes of being in the market so just dont go as youre not missing anything. Eating out per meal is roughly 10 euro including one drink, lager is about 2 euro a pint, local spirts are about 2 euro and theyre strong! Happy hours are usually 8.30pm till 9.30pm and Sinatras offer buy one get one free on Carlsberg bottles. See Danielle in there she will sort you out! And the cajun chicken is to die for! Overall a superb place and would definately go back

We just love Salou, we have been here twice now and loved it both times, we have been on the catamaran boat trip, swiming in the coves, and on the jet skis, there are some lovely displays on on a night time. And the beach is great, with excellent beach bars.

never go again.good for party animals.not a lot to do as a family. resort is all about drink here.did not find the people very friendly.

lovely place and a beautiful beach!plenty of shops ,bars and resrturants.we visited portadventure theme park.it was good if your aged 10 and above,but nothing much for toddlers.there are lots of very big ques and if your not tall enough,the staff will not let you on the ride.the waterpark is good,but you need to get in early as the sunbeds go fast.all in all salou is a lovely place.
