La pineda was very nice lovely beach very clean, and very big .It seems a quiet resort but as it was October it may be busier at peak times. There are plenty of shops and bars and places to eat.We went to Salou by bus which was only a couple of euros each not much there though very run down and very tacky,we also went to Port Aventura Theme Park we made the mistake of going on a weekend though when all the locals went too, it was mad and we only managed a few rides each, considering the 150.00 Euros it cost us to go it was very disappointing.

The resort itself is quite small and quiet, if your after karoke or disco bars forget it. There is a large disco, La Pacha, which does not open till late on. The major draw back is the view from the beach, which over looks the main industrial port of Tarragonna. Large oil tanker ships docking daily, not very pretty, but interesting if you like ships !!

OverallVery Good Hotel

The hotel is of a good standard. We opted for the all inclusive package, which was fine for what we wanted. Be aware that you can only get drinks till 11.00pm with this package, after 11pm you will have to pay for drinks. Dining was varied with different me...

there was also a bulgarian hanging about the alleys.he was following my 18 yr old daughter & her friend, but i must say the security is good, and they soon chased him off,the bar staff took them into salou with them, and really looked after them.the resort itself is very quiet.not a lot to do.a few bars at the front, but very expensive. the beach is nice and has suncanopies to rent for 5 euro, but a very rude woman taking your money, wouldn,t let you put 3 sunbeds under, even though you could have got 4 there.obviously didnt like english, never met anyone so arrogant in all my life. if you come out the front of the hotel and turn left ,at the end you will see a sign, irish bar, turn left, tucked in corner.dont bother.it says karaoke, hypnotist.when we got there they were playing with a plastic golf ball, trying to get it in an ashtray ,but we thought we may as well have a drink.we got 4 vodka /coke,3 kids coke and 3 bags crisps. 45 euro.what a laugh.she said she had to import the crisps in,but in the supermarket, they were only 1 euro.and there wasnt only 1 or 2 other bars that were decent, but not much on in them. the gift shops near the hotel are a rip off,a mans wallet is 15 euro, but in salou-same one was 6 euro.and a disney towel was 19 euro, and in salou, was 10 euro.so take a trip to salou for your shopping.also smirnoff vodka is dearer here than it is at home. i dont want to put you off ,but if i was you ,i would book for salou,or try flamingo oasis in benidorm, all inclusive for a brill holiday. we would never come back here again even if it was free.

La Pineda seems a quite small resort, with not much going on, or things to see at night. A few bars and restaurants, but no acts on like in other resorts. Beach lovely but seemed to be not many toilets apart from some portaloo types. We stayed on the beach near hotel so just went back inside. Some of the bars on the strip near the waterpark look a bit dodgy, not as nice as some others.
