The PortAventura Park itself it great - loads to do for all ages and the q's were next to none during the week during October, however, avoid at weekends - very busy with Spanish who don't seem to know how to Q and walk right into you! Loads of places to eat and grab an ice-cream, but very expensive within the Park itself.

Salou was okay, very much for the tourist, if you know what I mean! The beaches are wonderful and clean and highly recommended.

The resort was an average Spanish resort but it had one great asset- it was close to teh fantastic FortaVentura theme park!

It was amazing! I wish we had booked to stay longer, so much to see and do, we were really spoilt for choice and tried to work out a timetable so that we could make the most of our stay.

Ideal location only a few mins to walk into Salou. Plenty of shuttle buses between hotel and theme park.

The nearest resort is Salou, I walked there most days when my wife and son went for a sleep in the afternoon. To get there from the hotel just head down the drive and turn left when you come to the roundabout afollow this road staight past the first round aboutthen down to the next one where the tourist information centre is, if you head straight on past this all roads lead to the beach so you can't really get lost. There are a couple of large supermarkets in this area. Salou its self is pleasant with plenty of bars and shops.

Portaventura is a great resort for all the family, young and old. The theme park is beautifully laid out, as is the water park. There were plenty of free trains going between each of the 3 hotels and the parks. Just be careful there is a charge for the train from the theme park into salou, which the rep forgot to mention to us when we asked how to get into salou. Taxi would have been cheaper! Salou is a nice town but full of the same shops repeated over and over. Cambrills is a lovely place to go for the day. The beach and harbour are pretty. Just a quick cheap bus ride from salou.

Hello there…I visited the hotel few months ago.i was there in a vacation.it was amazing out there.specially about their services.wow….there services were great,I like their hospitality.i mostly like their foods…mmmm.it still lick my tounge when think about some of their foods……its really amazing out there..i wish them best of luck….

Stunning beaches and scenery. Friendly locals. Plenty to do ie Theme Park and Waterpark would definitely recommend!!

A regular train takes you from the hotel entrance to the theme park. The park is fabulous for all ages. We hired a double buggy and spent several full days there. Rides for everyone from small children to thrill seekers (for which you get queue jumping tickets from the hotel). Lots of shows and attractions. Great outdoor play area and funfair. Loads of places to eat, shops and plenty of clean toilets.

The theme park was great for all ages with plenty to do. Eating out at the park was not very good as some of the restaurants were closed presumably because we holidayed in October. Entertainment and activities were great

Portaventura is a really fun resort, with a great theme park and water park. There is also a beach club, beaches and lots of restaurants and shops nearby. The theme park itself is great for all ages, with lots of big rides, as well as family themed rides. If you stay in the hotel you get passes to go front of the line, and there is a pass so that late in the evening you can go straight on to the rides. The food is good at the resort. The water park is really good, with lots of fun water rides and sun beds. There are indoor and outdoor areas. The parks can get quite busy, but if you plan what you want to do it will be okay. The transportation is good to the local area and you can easily get to the beaches of Salou. Salou is quite busy and touristy, but it is a nice day out.

some people think salou is just blackpool with sun so to speak but that cant be right...blackpool doesnt get sun...well not like salou anyway !! ok its tacky gift shops are aplenty but the bars and restaurants serve great food and drink at a very reasonable price even though the euro has taken its toll its still cheaper than money grabbing england (and its sunny!!). weve been to salou a few times and stayed in different hotels and still like the place..its geared for families..but we didnt spend as much time there this year due to staying in the theme park. if you like traditional spanish towns then cambrils is well worth a visit with great cafes bars and restaurants (seafood dishes are a speciality) and you can walk to salou in 10 mins from portaventura (all downhill) then get the buses on the seafront which run very frequently and are cheap too (about 1.40 euro each all the way to cambrils. anyway thats all from us...were off now to save up so we can go back to HOTEL PORTAVENTURA....happy holidays !!!!

like any other resort... lots of gift shops... nice beach.. did not eat out of the hotel so cannot really comment on food & drink

Lovely sandy beach with good long promenade to go walkabout after dining. Plenty of shopping. Good oportunity for bargaining still for better prices.
