The hotel was always being cleaned. suitable for families rather than for young single people, Older couples who don't mind children will also enjoy this. Walking distance to Theme Park and Water Park which entry costs are included with stay at El Paso. The hotel holds themed nights including Mexican and BBQ for which the food is good and plentiful. WiFi is in the recepton area where there is seating. If you want to watch TV whilst on holiday...........then you can watch BBC1 and BBC2 (English) or Eurosport (Spanish).

Very good hotel with excellent staff who are very efficient and friendly. This is the 3rd time we have stayed at El Paso and the only downside is the below average evening entertainment. Most nights are spent at Portaventura but on the couple of nights we decided to relax in the hotel the entertainment was a let down. This is only a minor negative though as the main attraction of the hotel is its proximity to Portaventura Park. Food and drink are both very good with a wide range of options for everyone. It would be good if the bar served drinks after the park closes but its easy to tailor your evening to get back for a drink if needs be.

hotel bathrroms need upgrading are mouldy but knew this before i went so was prepared.pool area is fantasic and clean, plenty of options in the dinning areas for adults and kids. location is everything free train to park and quiet in the evenings.

This is the fourth time we've stayed in this hotel. We've two teenage children and there is enough, with the pool, table tennis and internet facilities to keep them amused at the hotel but, to be honest, the big draw is the theme park 2 minutes walk up the hill! The food is good, service good, staff friendly and helpful and overall a good time was had by all.

Hotel was very clean, food was excellent for an all-inclusive type resort hotel. Facilities were good, but could've been more for chidren over 5. Entertainment was aimed for younger kids - more family-oriented entertainment in the evenings would be welcome.

Great hotel , Good all inclusive food and drink selection. Unlimited access to Portaventura theme park. Bed rooms clean and suitable. Swimming pool great Great holiday we will go again!

The hotel was extremely clean in all areas. The pool was amazing and location great. The food was typical buffet style with lots of chips! However there were lots of different salads and fruit every day. I would have liked more Spanish food on the menu but they did have paella and one day we had Calamares! The staff were very friendly and the room was perfect for a family. The kids loved the free ice-cream and the slush drinks were a big hit!!

the hotel was very nice with a fantastic pool area which had plenty of sunbeds.it is a great location for portaventura theme park.The food in the buffet resturant was fine but got repetative,the el coyote resturant was really nice good food and plenty of it.The free local drinks you got were good and you also got unlimited soft drinks and walls ice cream.All in all a very nice hotel in a good location.My only criticsm is its price you can go half board at same quality hotels nearby for £1,500 less which is a big difference.

This is the best hotel i have ever had the pleasure to stay in. I couldn't fault it at all, the rooms were spacious and we had kids bunk beds instead of a double sofa bed.the rooms were spotless and were cleaned daily. The pool was huge and also had a infants pool with a pirate ship in The food was faultless and had a huge array of choice with theme nights once a week.

Just returned from a fantastic week in el paso hotel , food excellent variety in restuarant , poolside and in theme park. Pool is a great size and never seemed overcrowded . Hotel grounds are spotless staff always cleaning and are very helpful , reception staff speak good English , always able to get s sun lounger no matter what time of day no need to do Olympic sprint to get best spot lol , plenty of shaded areas . Did hear people moaning about thinks like crisps , certain flavours of ice cream not part of all inclusive but when you are getting walls n carte nor ice cream who cares still had about 6 to choose from ! Hotel runs a shuttle bus which takes you to salou and also train to theme park . Train station just outside hotel takes u to Barcelona 45 euros return for 3 hotel will print out train times . Theme park was fantastic, great shows and rides suitable for all family , do recommend u buy fast pass as some queues for bigger rides can be up to 1 1/2 hrs wait , Caribe water park not very big but good value for money if u get discounted rate from hotel . Would recommend this hotel and theme park x Only down side is night entertainment is totally geared toward children starts about 9ish only last just over 1 hr some nights longer and all inclusive finishes at 11:30 . Have to pay for bottled water but have water fountains , we took a camel back n filled it to last day in theme park , no food at all allowed in park bags are searched n food taken off u .

Great value hotel. Well cooked food and well organised restaurant. Great pool area with a lovely friendly atmosphere. Staff are friendly and professional.

Having stayed in the Hotel Portaventura 10 years ago, I was looking forward to a stay in the El Paso. Unfortunately it never lived up to my expectations. Reception staff very slow, evening entertainment poor, bar service slow, room was too crowded with uncomfortable beds and it never got dusted. The park was a bonus for my kids, the pool was lovely and the staff were nice, I enjoyed my meal in the Coyote restaurant, but the service in the Medina was poor. Would I go again? Probably not. And the Lumine Beach Club is no longer part of this group, so the El Paso website needs updating.

This is a great place to stay if you want plenty to keep children busy. There is so much to do with the theme park and train station on your doorstep. We found that it got busier as our stay went on though and it can be a bit hectic at mealtimes and you need to put towels on sunbeds first thing. The food is good though there is lots of choice and you can eat in the theme park as well. The pool is great for little ones, we have a three year old and as long as we watched him he didn't need floats as it was waist height. We will go back again, probably in a couple of years when he can go on a few more rides.

this hotel ,on the whole,is very good indeed. its got a very nice pool which was never overcrowded at all. its a 5min stroll to the theme park ,which in itself is a great place to spend time.also for 5euro's pp,the waterpark is also a great place to visit. the best thing about staying here tho,was the hotel staff. every single one of them was excellent,always willing to listen and always working hard to serve their guests. the pool bar staff were especially good,but they all worked fast at all times to serve people drinks and snacks,unusual in an all inclusive environment where the norm is sometimes to make people wait as long as poss...

Clean hotel with good standard of food and beautiful pool but entertainment on a night really lets it down and there is really nowhere else to escape and go to on a night because you are a bus ride away from the nearest town Salou.
