Great beaches and lots of places to eat and drink although the cost of the euro means that it is much more expensive than in recent years

I thought the hotel was very accomodating. On arrival they were very friendly and helped us carry our bags. On the first night we had a lovely buffet style meal which was very appetising. during the stay the meals very as good as ones back home in a posh restaurant. The weather was great and i would deffinately recommend it and go again.
The atmosphere was great very lively and the shops were amazing

A very quiet layed back resort, In the centre a small shopping centre with a few restaurants dotted around (a fab Tapas Bar in the shopping centre with fantasic staff and excellent food)!! At the other end of the resort a great Italian restaurant Mama Mias with yet again wonderfull food and very hospitable hosts...... We were self catering and EVERY morning we had breakfast over the road from Mam Mias in the wonderful Bakery (well we were on holiday!!!!!!!!!!!!! The beach!!! What can I say - PARADISE, its huge, clean and just goes on for miles even with chipmunks as residients along the way, our objective all week was to walk all the way along, (we never made it)!!!!!!!!!! so will have to return!!!!!!!!!!!!A wonderful relaxing place............ PS just as the icing on the cake this holiday was a BARGIN with Thomas Cook........ we were so lucky - A great time had by all.......

El Cotillo is the less interesting place on the Island. We have been to many places such as:Corralejo,Morro Jable, Betancuria-montain area(must be seen),Costa Calma... The paces above must be seen when you are there, therefore you need to ren a car.Tu sum up, I really liked this Island but without the car we would not see anything,in addition in my opinion the beste place to stay without a car is Morro Jable I strongly recommend!

Also, although there are not a lot of shops in the resort, the prices are ridiculous thanks to the lousy exchange rate. Four batteries for my camera.....12 Euro. (Stay away from the little rip off camera store in the nearby shopping centre). Also sanitary towels at 7 Euros.....so watch out! and take plenty of supplies. Some suggestions....take a couple of bungee cords with you as the towels and mats can get blown away really easily. Its not called the Windy Island for nothing. We took a look at the more expensive Crystal Beach hotel which is lovely inside but does get a lot more wind. The Costa Calma Beach is far better and offers a variety of places to catch the sun, from small beaches to shaded patios and beautiful pools. All very clean and well manintained, the gardens are beautiful and the hotel offers many great places for photos. We used the little beach to the front near to the Tiki bar, which is very useful. You can help yourself to the beer on tap, coffee (if you want tea take your own bags......you'll thank me really!) If you are on the 15 Kilo limit take advantage of the towel hire. For a 20 Euro deposit it will save you having to take one in your case. Would recommend a visit to Oasis Park La Lajita. It is a zoo not too far away. A taxi from the hotel to this costs about 8 - 10 euros. well worth a visit.

Quiet place nice beach to walk along very few bars seemed to be more of a hotel resort if you like a nice quiet place just to unwind on the beach then this is the place for you but beware the naked germans who like the chipmunks pop up and down from their stone windbreaks on the beach(not nice lol)

A lovely resort which was very clean and tidy with the most superb white sandy beaches we have ever seen. A nice choice of shops and restaurants, although as we were all inclusive at our hotel we did not try them.

i found the resort to be a relaxing place to be. the beaches were beautiful and you could spend all day on the beach if you wanted as all the town shops r right next to them. we had meals in the chinese restuarants these were very good value for money and the food tasted good, you also got a surprise gift r funny drink as compliments of the staff you will have to experience this for yourself. to be honest all the resturants that we visted did lovely food and the staff were alway polite and friendly.

The resort of corralejo itself can be quite quiet, if you enjoy walking then there is plenty to do, sand dunes etc, there are shops to get the basics but no huge supermarket as such, still I enjoyed the peace and quiet and there are no buildings over 4 stories high which is also good as you are not stuck high up in a tower block.
Costa Calma is a purpose built resort not much to see or do. There is one bus that goes around the resort on a regular basis, but all you can do is go to shopping centres. Not a very appealing resort very barren.

Corralejo is good fun for everyone. Every night in town very friendly resturant owners, caught ferry to lanazrote for the day. Overall great resort plenty going on lots of bars and restaurants and shops only downside looks a bit more expensive due to the bad euro exchange.
