The main street of Correlajo is a 5 mintue walk from Lobas Bahia and has many resteraunts and shops. We often found our selves spoiled for choice with the amount of resteraunts. There were also many British pubs but the one we would recomend is ' Talk of the Town' it is a great family evening where there are games such as Bingo, Play your cards right and Name the choon. baku waterpark is worth a visit as our 3 kids had great fun (ages 14,12 and 12)look out for a lady at airport when you land giving out a free child ticket as this is well worth getting as baku quite expensive(cost us about £65 with the free ticket).

Corralejo has some fantastic restaurants serving a wide range of great food and you'd be missing out if you ate in the hotel restaurant every night. The beaches are amazing and very very clean and the ocean is crystal clear. There are loads of things to do in Fuerteventura and lots of excursions to choose from. The night life is good, there are loads of bars and we would recommend Waikiki's which is open until 4am. However its not 'in your face' nightlife. My Mum and Dad went out for a few drinks in the evenings and for a stroll through town and they really enjoyed it as well. They've got something for everyone. In the daytime you definitely have to go to Sireno. Its a cafe bar open from breakfast to late evening right on the beach front. We had breakfast and lunch there most days and the staff are great.

All in all the holiday was fantastic. It met all 4 of our needs for relaxation, sun, sand and sea and things to do in the day and night. It really is a great all rounder and we would highly recommended it to couples of all ages looking for a well needed getaway and great for family holidays due to the safe clean environment and shallow sea water at the beaches.

you do need to hire a car to make the most of this very windy island as there is very little to see or do in costa calma 2 bars one serves food a few shops a spar super market and a couple of mini ones all of which are very expensive and an african market on a wednesday and sunday but if you just want sun sea and sand than you will be fine, it gets pretty cold on an evening

We knew that the beaches are known to be beautiful in Fuerteventura but still, we were amazed just how gorgeous they really are. The smaller beach near the hotel is not the best, but the main beach in Corralejo is a must!! The hotel runs a free bus service twice a day, & it’s only 5 minutes away. The resort itself is ok, you must walk to the harbour where lovely small bars can be found, the bars on the main drag are steak houses etc. that are supposed to be there for the English, but quite frankly I think we Brits would rather find quaint little restaurants overlooking the sea. But again lots to do and see.

Holidays in Corralejo are popular with families due to its close proximity to Baku Water Park with its exhilarating rides to suit all ages.
nothing to see in this quiet place!! although the beach is nice but the cuurent is deceiving as our friends found out, their daughter drifted miles out on the lilo within seconds!!i would recommend COOL RUNNINGS trike tours well worth it,the views were tremendous!!!!if your doing tours shop around rather than go with your holiday company!!! enjoyed the holiday but wont be going back simply because it was very quiet.....

the hotel is well situated with bars, restaurants and supermarkets all within a short walk, the beach is a 10 - 15 min stroll as is the main parts of town, the old town is about 25 mins away. the water park is 5 mins down the road and on a monday and friday there is a market there from 0900 - 1300 but be careful they do try the hard sell a little but its still a good place to get any last min gifts we liked the holiday so much we are planning to go back soon.

Costa Calma review
"My Honest Unbiased Experience & Review"
resort to a friend
The best thing about Costa Calma is the beach without a doubt. The strong breeze is very welcomed, in the heat. The sea is very shallow and you have to go out about 100 yards before it’s to waist level which is lovely. Its great for waves too when the wind gets up. We were very disappointed that there were NO bars or eateries whatsoever in the area. You have your hotel facilities and that’s it, so make sure you take drinks and snacks to the beach with you.
Costa Calma in itself is an extremely quiet area with about three main hotels next to each other (H10 Esmeralda, H10 Tyndia and the R2). If you are willing to walk 10-15 mins then you will find another large hotel with the odd shop and bar. We had a hire car so we managed to drive 20 mins on the FV-2 motorway to Jandi/Morre Jable further south of the island which had more to offer, plenty of nice bars and shops. One of our highlights was a lovely Chinese restaurant on the front where they were extremely friendly and the food was top notch so recommend them if you go !.
Word of warning – please be careful if you plan on purchasing electrical equipment. We went into about five camera shops and all of them had the same tactics (in particular a chain called “Foto Porst” and “Seven Seas”. They will offer a good price on an item in the window, then when you enquire about it, that price doesn’t exist or they will say they don’t have any left. Then they will try make you purchase something more expensive. They fiddle with the settings on camera’s to make them look like the quality of the pictures are rubbish, then show you a better quality one double the price. All they are doing is playing with the settings!!. If you are adamant you want to buy a particular product and they feel they cannot sway you or do a scam on you, they use other tactics like saying they are shutting the shop for a siesta to get rid of you…..please please please be very careful in the stores if you are purchasing something expensive, these guys all work together and know exactly what they are doing! All reps should be made aware of this so they can include it on their welcome meeting for the tourists.
This is an honest personal unbiased opinion after visiting. I think the Hotel and resort is more focused for young couples with children, or elderly couples who like a very quiet area.
Apart from the negatives, we had a lovely ‘beach’ holiday and it’s all about the company you’re in at the end of the day!

unfortunatley the recession seems to be reaching everywhere - including here! so many places closed down. but not to say that there isn't a great range of resturants and bars! 2 weeks and we didn't eat in the same place twice! all price ranges 6 euro's to 20 euro's a meal - take your pick! the beach was very clean and safe for kids. the taxi guys were friendly and cheap!
