Quiet place nice beach to walk along very few bars seemed to be more of a hotel resort if you like a nice quiet place just to unwind on the beach then this is the place for you but beware the naked germans who like the chipmunks pop up and down from their stone windbreaks on the beach(not nice lol)

If i were writing this review as a young man with a family i would say that the resort is ideal. as there is plenty to keep the children occupied.(at a price i might add) However i am not a young man with children so my opinion is one of disappointment in am much as there was very little in the way of adult entertainment. As an older person i would suggest that you pick your dates carefully if you are contemplating visiting this resort as you can be over run with young children at certain times of the year.

A lovely resort which was very clean and tidy with the most superb white sandy beaches we have ever seen. A nice choice of shops and restaurants, although as we were all inclusive at our hotel we did not try them.

Extreamly quite location, lovely walks along the coastal road to colleta de foste where on the way you can feed the local chipmonks. It is situated in the wrong place. Costa Antigua is more of a building site than anything else and is a 35 minute walk from Costa Caleta De Fuste. Aircraft pass by the building all day long as it is situated only a few kilometres from the airport. We hired a car for 2 days and went round some of the island. A must see is the wreck of the American star which ran aground 12 years ago. Amazing to see some of it still there. The locals were very friendly too.

The beach needs new sand and a lot of it. No waves due to shape of bay so beach not washed , water looks uninviting.
Lovely area. Selection of shops and bars. Go and see the chipmunks and get some nuts. Get the free bus and go to the Oasis park great day out.

Excellent well kept resort, pretty quiet which is just what we wanted, although there is plenty to keep you occupied, such as jetski's, windsurfing, mini golf, fishing, diving plus the usual organised trips from your chosen hotel. The market is on every saturday, if you don't like being called delboy, rodney, playboy etc etc dont go but if you do haggle haggle and haggle some more

The credit crunch and rate of sterling are hammering the resort; with places closing down. Which is a pity because the people are friendly and work hard to offer a good service. Lots of bargains, cheap food and drink if you can get there to take advantage of it.

This resort is suitable for couples and families with children, purely becase of the fantastic beach. However, strong currents in the sea can make it unsuitable for very small children. When we visited in early April 2009 the sea was very calm, it can be very changeable from one day to the next. The beach can be very windy, it 's worth investing in a beach tent for approximately 15euros. There's a good selection of bars and cafes along the seafront, all of them open during the day, there are several bars near to the Hotel Faro Jandia, it's good to visit these during the evening. Entertainment is very low key in the bars and most of them just play background music, there is very little live entertainment, it makes a lovely relaxing evening and most of them are closed by 11.30pm. Rico Rico bar serves very generous measures at reasonable prices too. The resort also has plenty of 'tat' shops and supermarkets, fortunately these don't seem to have increased in number over the years. It's worth visiting Morro Jable, more of a traditional Spanish town than Jandia, about a 20 minute stroll along the beach and then walk up the hill past the lovely floral seafront promenade in front of the Riu Palace and Riu Calypso. All in all it's a lovely beach resort, ideal for a relaxing holiday. If you're hiring a car Costa Calma and La Pared are both a short drive away.

We were all inclusive so did not eat or drink else where. The beach was nice and clean. Enjoyed walks around small harbour and along sea front.
