I have stayed in Aparthotel accommadation on many occassions over the years, both as an all inclusive, and self catering guest in the Canaries, and Balerics and find them generally to be more than adequate. The Broncemar in my opinion ticked most of the rellevent boxes. On this ocassion I was part of a couple, so was pleased not to see the place over run with kids. However, there were a handfull but seemed to be well behaived. We had one of the ground floor self catering appartments, although there was no air conditioning or heating in the rooms but didn't feel the need for either. If guests did feel the need for extra warmth I was informed there was plenty of spare bedding available!! not so sure how you'd keep cool though in the peak season (we enjoyed 25c)

The rooms were adequately furnished, there was a TV,(1euro per hr) telephone, (which I found to be faulty, but one call to reception and it was changed within a couple of hrs)microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge, usuall 2 ring cooker/oven, though personally I wouldn't particulairly want to cook a meal on it. Towells and bedding were changed three times during the week. The only 2 negative things worth mentioning was on 3 ocassions during the week we noticed very small ant like insects in the kitchen area, barely visible to the naked eye, (but that was probably due to me being a little forgetful in wiping down the work top after breakfast! :( ) and the patio sliding door was a lttle tight to open and close.

I found all the staff to be helpful, and hard working, in particulair the reception. The use of 3 computers in the reception area was particulairly useful, 1euro for 10mins. I noticed them to be in use more than you would expect throughout the week, with all ages!

There were 2 reasonably sized pools, well maintained and clean, though a little slippy round the edges, but was adequately signed with warnings, you were also advised by the Thomas Cook reps as well. But to be fair there were also limited wooden boards to walk on.

To sum up, we found it to be more than adequate for most requirements of families, and couples alike, baring in mind this is a 3 star rated Aparthotel, I would have no hestation about a return visit.

We have just returned from a February half term break at the Broncemar All inclusive. The best things I can say about the hotel are that it has a short transfer time from the airport, it is centrally located and the waiters work hard. The negatives are the rooms are basic and have no heating or airconditioning, even with extra blankets we were cold at night. The rooms are not cleaned every day and it shows, I don't think anyone had cleaned our room properley since the hotel was built. We had cockroaches in the bathroom which came out if you went to the loo in the night. The food is dreadful, not only is it repetitive but it is only lukewarm even if it had only been just brought out. The puddings were all liquid based ie jelly or mousse or rice pudding. That is of course if you could find a plate! They regularly ran out of plates and glasses were not much better. The same waiters also worked long shifts in the bar so if you asked them for anything they were quite frazzled. The best place to eat was at the pool bar where there was not much choice but at least the food was hot. The afternoon cakes were whatever had been left from breakfast so often it was croissants. The daytime entertainment was poor. The entertainment team often did not do the advertised activities either because they had lost equipment or it was too cold/raining eg aqua fit in the pool. They did not organise anything else as they prefrerred to sit around and talk about their last night out (which often led to them being late starting as they were hungover). The evening entertainment was better but they repeated some of the shows weekly so we got to see them twice which is poor. The pools were nice but the area around the pool was very slippy and we saw lots of people fall over. They had done a decked walkway the try to stop this but it had started to raise in places and was also a trip hazzard. I would not go back to this hotel and I would think twice about a Thomas Cook Entertainment team led hotel again.

Stayed here for a week on 25th July 2009. The hotel, gardens & pool are very clean & well looked after. The apartment was clean, and that is all I ask for from a 3 star apartment. You will have to rent a fan for 14 Euros if you are too hot, our room was roasting. The only negative thing i would comment on about the apartment was the positioning of bathroom, ours was in the middle of the apartment with no window and could get very stuffy & far too warm at times. Im not sure if all the apartments have the same layout though. We stayed bed & breakfast and for the extra money it probably was worth it with the poor rate on the euro at the minute. The quality of the food is generally ok and eatable but doesnt set the world on fire, dont let this put you off though because this is a really nice place and you wont be dissppointed providing your not your not expecting 5* star faciltites like some people from 3* hotel.

We have just returned from a weeks holiday at the Broncemar and had a great time ! We went self catering with Thomas Cook and looked at upgrading to half board which we found to be at least £200 cheaper when we got there rather than booking through the agent. The rooms were clean ours 143 had a lovely patio area and was not far from the pool . The daytime and evening entertainment was very good and the reps ( Aaron, Stevi - jo, Dave b and Laura really worked their socks off to make sure everyone enjoyed themselves. Our only criticism was around the pool was very slippy resulting in a couple of accidents and this needs to be addressed by Thomas Cook We will def return

Arrived at the Broncemar Beach on Saturday evening 4th April for two weeks.Three of us - myself, teenage daughter and her best mate. We were allocated Room 159 which was at the end of the "bridge" walkway, and was a spacious apartment with a lovely private rooftop terrace for sunbathing (and popping back in for a drink/snack whenever you feel like it). Maid service was every day except Tuesday & Friday with towels changed 3 times per week and sheets changed twice during our 2-week stay. No tea-towel provided so bring your own! The little kitchen has a fridge, hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and filter coffee maker. There is a shop in the complex for your initial basics on the first day but after that I would recommend shopping around for most foods. There are lots of Nettos around the town, and while we were there they had an offer where you got a 3€ voucher whenever you spent over 20€, and there was always lots of special offers there too. Food is expensive in the supermarkets, but this is simply because everything is imported, not because they are trying to rip you off! Buy the Spanish brands and you'll save a bit of money. If you plan on doing "proper" self-catering (cooking all your own meals) then you should take a trip down to the big Spar at the Atlantico shopping centre, a lot of things are a bit cheaper than the Nettos but you need to do a "big shop" there to make it worth the taxi-fare back! We ate out every evening and just used our little kitchen for breakfast (ham & cheese toasties) and storing lots of cheap supermarket drinks in the fridge. The entertainment at the Broncemar was good family stuff, the usual mini-disco, quizzes, reps' shows etc. We didn't really see much of it because we went out every night but the daytime stuff was good and most families with younger children who stayed on site seemed to be having a fantastic time. The reps were lovely, very chatty and helpful, and seemed very popular with the young kids. The pool was very cold. One of the pools is apparently heated but there was quite a chilly wind while we were there so I didn't bother "getting wet"! My daughter and her friend spent every day down at the beach. There is a poolside barbeque 2-3 days a week priced at 6€ - 8€ with a free glass of sangria. This was lovely and a very nice change from our toasties/crisps! On site there is also a nice grill restaurant "Casa Rito" and a good Irish tavern which does karaoke until 3am, in addition to the half-board buffet restaurant and the reps' entertainment bar. Reception is open 24 hours and there is security at night. It was good to know there was no way onto the complex other than through reception, it felt safe and secure. Thomas Cook have their own desk there and they have a book exchange box, so I left a few of mine behind! On our last day, our coach departure wasn't until 5:45pm and you have to check out of your room at 11am, so I asked about keeping our room, this was 20€ (which is cheaper than booking it in advance with Thomas Cook, but it was very quiet and you may need to book this in advance buring the busy summer months). Unfortunately the receptionist looked on the computer and discovered our spacious apartment had been allocated to new arrivals that afternoon, so she then offered us a "courtesy room" (Room 206) for the whole afternoon (instead of half an hour) free of charge! Great friendly service! The worst part of the holiday was arriving at the airport for our flight home. Thomas Cook have around seven or eight flights leaving the island all within about an hour every Saturday evening, and they have FOUR check-in desks open for ALL of these flights!!! The queue starts at the doors where the coach drops you off!!!

We stayed in December 08, and even with the additional blankets supplied , we were cold at night. No heating is supplied ( which obviousley you dont need in the warmer months), so we had to use the two ring hob as our only form of heating, along with leaving the lights on. The tv , which is a cost of €1 for one hour, has two english channels, which is mostly advertising. Staying over the Christmas period we were expected to pay €20 Euros per adult ,and €13 Euros per child for a Christmas show put on by the resident reps, which I thought was a rip of. But that was on par for the resort, which is why after 2 days we got a return flight home, and saved ourselves loads of money by doing so.

after returning on the 12th nov 08 we enjoyed a weeks holiday in the broncemar beach aprthotel all staff speak good english it really puts us brits to shame we really need to learn spanish! apartments where clean maybe in bits some need a freshen up paint wise but thats to expected as they seem to be full all the time. maids never stop as the bar and resturant are always on the go the buffet resturant good value for money 10 euros for a 3 course meal and eat as much as you like caters for everyone. The only have one bad thing to say about it the bar is open to 3am so if your expecting early nights you are in for a shock! Other than that we will certainly be making a return vist. oh one last thing people with mobility problems may find the stairs a problem although there is a small lift to use if you find the stairs a problem.

We have holidayed at the Broncemar Beach on 6 occaisions and never had any problems - we always request an apartment near to the childrens play area, it is quiet at night!! Never had problems with cockroaches. This time we had to move apartments as complex were working on upgrading maids storage area, given an apartment further along - moved to upstairs apartment, much better, balcony was a real suntrap, also free bottle of wine from management for moving. Would recommend these apartments, and will certainly be staying there again next year.

On first arriving at The Broncemar Beach my wife and I were very impressed. The place is spotless. The gentleman on reception was very helpful & gave us a small map to show the location of our apartment. We Arrived at 9:40pm & he took our luggage into a locked room & showed us the way to the buffet restaurant as it closes at 10pm.

We stayed in room 210 which overlooked the pool, grill restaurant & The Taveren Bar. The rooms are very clean-we went half board & were amazed to find a cooker, fridge, kettle & cutlery. There are no balconys-only corridors which people freeley walk past you'r room, but we didn't find this a problem as the guests are mostly familys or old foggies like us!(40 ish!).Our friends we travelled with stayed in room 290 which is in the more wooded area of the complex & they had a cockroach problem for a few nights, which we had read in previous reviews. The maid service runs 5 days a week. The entertainment consisted of The Thomas Cook Team, usual stuff-pool quizzes, fun water polo etc.everyone of them was most helpful & full of energy! The staff at the complex are mostly Spanish-speaking(as you would expect),but they were very polite & helpful. The buffet restaurant consists of a selection of bacon, fried or boiled eggs, little sausages, beans & toast,as well as the Spanish healthy food!. Evening meal was a varied selection of grilled meats, pastas, fish, veg, salads & of couarse chips!.We always found plenty of room to sit & the staff very friendly & helpful.Breakfast times were 7am-10am.Evening meal times were 7pm-10pm.

We only had one complaint-most of the sunbeds around the pool were broken & very uncomfortable! Apart from that The Broncemar Beach is a very nice place to stay.

sorry to report but we did have problems with cockroaches. They were crawling out of the microwave surround. We looked inside and found some dead and some still alive. We reported this to reception as our rep was out for the day. As this happened on a Saturday no one could come out and spray until Monday. We did get the ones we saw cleaned out. The apartment next to us had the same problem and was given a spray to use but be aware the spray should only be used with a mask and is very strong. We chose not to use it as our son suffers from asthma. This did put us off cooking very much in the apartment. I know cockroaches thrive in hot countries but you do not expect to find them where you eat. the sun beds are a problem I think with lots of broken ones means in the morning there is not enough for everyone and very often we did not use the pool until later in the day about 5 or 6 pm. Be aware of the noise in this complex the first night our apartment was next to the main road and we never slept all night. We moved to room 104 the next day a lovely position very private and lovely shady patio area to sit out in (our best place to be). We still had noise from the night life behind the complex but the apartment was nice through the day so we put up with that at night. The reps entertainment was a bit poor, not much for older teens. The pool tables where in bad condition. Pool are very nice the hotel has put some wooden boards down to walk around the pool this helps as in every pool area it does get slippery. Two reps were sacked for inappropriate behavior. This left us with a feeling of disgust.

The accommodation was a good size with excellent facilities. The only let down was lack of air conditioning which is definitely needed during the summer months. The entertainment team were excellent eventhough they changed half way through the holiday. The pools were freezing but refreshing although very slippery around the edge. People had to be told to walk carefully and definitely no running as several people slipped.

We have stayed at the Broncemar Beach Hotel 4 times in the last 6 years. This will probably have been our last time as our daughter has outgrown it now but over the years it has been fantastic. We first went when our daughter was 4 and had a wonderful time with kids clubs and kids disco. The following three visits have been every bit as good. The staff are all lovely, most of the reps have been helpful and the new manager cannot do enough to please people. The food has always been very good with a good choice and plenty. I am always surprised to read reviews on this site about about the hotel, I think people should go and enjoy a holiday instead of looking for faults. I can honestly say I have never seen seen more than the odd ant, the rooms have always been cleaned to a high standard and the only thing I would like to see inproved are the sun beds which have seen better days.

Initially, I wasn't impressed with this hotel. Our party of 6 checked in together, were given adjacent rooms but had to be moved twice as the rooms had no water.

Once we had moved to our eventual rooms (all self-contained), I was quite pleased. The upper rooms have huge balconies, lovely for sunbathing as the pool area was quite busy. Ground floor rooms have a terrace which is smaller and much less private. We were advised that families with young children would only be allocated ground floor rooms for safety reasons and to get to the upper rooms you have to walk up a flight of (quite steep) outdoor stairs. If you are able to do this and have no children with you, I would strongly recommend it.

Pool area clean but very busy, restaurants/bars OK, lots of children's entertainment on. A short walk from the beach, shops, etc.

Having just got back from our 6th visit to Caleta Fuste and our 3rd time at the Broncemar (see my last review on page 16 Sept 04) we were once again given a great holiday, granted this time we only went for 7 days but we were soon back into having a great time. I only have 2 negative points, the first being that on our arrival we were given room 212, which was above the refridgeration units from the kitchen below, they continually switched on and off given us no sleep on our first night. We asked to be moved the next morning and the management were more than helpful to the extent of given us the opportunity to view our next apartment before moving in, actually room 175 was right near the pool, 171 to 174 were also good. The second negative point was the diffuculty of pushing a wheelchair up the main ramp from reception to the complex, the very slippery tiles made progress very hard, once again this was mentioned and the new manager (Jacob) said he would try and resolve the matter very soon. I had also mentioned the fabulous entertainment team in my 2004 review and this very new team need not worry as they seeem to be "geling" very well. The team leader Johny does his job superb and can (I hope he dosen't mind me saying) "camp it up" where necessary (keep the T-shirt gag in) and has the audience in stiches, the girls Vicky Kayleigh and Karly no Kurly (sorry I can never pronounce Kylie,(in joke)are also very good and finally the bairn Adam, bless, looks to be a "natural" entertainer. Overall this young team, with a total age of 107, so THEY say, no doubt will hone their acts very well. We hope to see them again this summer so I hope they aren't disapointed with my comments I think they are all fantastic. When you do go PLEASE join in on the activities, there were some right boars-heads on my last few days who wouldn't do anything. Well that's it, Furteventura, Caleta de Fuste and The Broncemar Beach are a great combination you won't be disapointed. Good luck guys! Bazza Gillian and Danielle.
