if you want a chill out holiday in a flat resort with plenty of friendly bars and excellent resturants, everything close at hand, warm and entertainment in plenty of bars this is for you. I always go in November and it's a great place to get away from the cold. look out for happy hours as they can take a lump off your spending and if you like steak and fish this is the place. Casa de la Carne steakhouse near the beach is superb with offers at different times, it looks like a chain resturants but isn't. STAY CLEAR OF 'THE CARVERY'. It is diabolical. With the exception of a meal of cold saurkraut and cold sausage i had in france once it had to be the worse meal me and the wife had ever had. La Tasca is also superb as is poco loco but find out from someone first about the chinese resturants cos some are not very good. Chablis is a good pub if you like british food and Robin's nest pub is nice but we spent a lot of time in Finnegans. A small but good pub with a really good quiz. Rock cafe is the place for good bands. we love it anyway

I would describe the town centre as very 'Blackpool'- arcades and tacky shops. Most of the restaurants seem to sell the same food- burgers, steak and full english breakfasts. The dunes were lovely- takes about an hour to walk to where the RIU hotels are, this is where the nicest beaches were- although its not for the faint hearted- the beaches are a nudist mecca! we thought it was funny though! it was quite windy in November but it was sunny everyday and we got a nice tan. The new shopping centre next door to the Atlantic gardens 'El Campanario' was really nice- live music and shops. The 'Boardriders' club has excellent food and a good atmosphere.

Correlejo is great not too big or too small, the beaches are wonderful, loads of choice for eating out would highly reccomend the Plaza which is a undercover colloction of resturants and childrens rides/slides, just of the main street. We ate there 3 nights, at the steakhouse, mexican and the chinese ( which was faultless) and the kids loved it , very relaxing for famillies.

OverallVery Good Hotel

the hotel is fine, we had read the reviews before we booked (for a very good price) so did not go with high expectations, but were more than happy. We travelled as a party of 4 adults and 3 kids and found it suitable for all. Yes, its not the best pool but ...

OverallGood Hotel

This is a reasonably good hotel, situated a 20 minute walk from the centre of Corralejo. We have been here before, about 3 years ago and had a good idea of what to expect. The hotel gets mixed reviews on the internet but we felt overall that its not a bad ...

Old and run down, this is a working class town around a harbour, the tourist part is small and not much cop. the cost of things is high in comparison to other spanish resorts we've been to this year(lanzarote-menorca) Grand playa, the big beach 10 mins out of town is very good and "El Cosstillo" is nice to, but i won't be comming back here again. don't waste your precious hol on this town. By the way, one night a dodgy git was making moves on the wifes handbag. thats what they mean by "local characters"
