We spent a week at this hotelduring October half term. The hotel is easily the best 4 star we have stayed in for comfort, size of rooms and cleanliness. Comfy seats on th ebalcony and bath robes and slippers in the rooms. Food quality and selection at breakfast was outstanding, everything being prepared fresh. The evening meals were good, but a little less choice than I would have expected (especially if you aare not keen on fish with everything!) but always something good to eat! I only have 2 negatives really, the pool was unheated which made it exceptionally cold and there was little daytime activity in the hotel. Jandia does cater for other European nationsa above ours, but that is no bad thing! Only 1 Brisish pub and lots of high class places to eat, drink and shop. The location is great, right in the middle of the small resort and close to the beach which was fantastic, beatifully clean and the water was still warm. all in all a very good holiday, but perhaps a little quiet for those wanting an active holiday.

We spent a week here in September and found the hotel relaxing, friendly and very well looked after. We booked a superior room and the views were fantastic. The balcony was large with sunbeds, comfy chairs and table - absolute peace and relaxation. The swimming pool was fabulous and the water just cool enough to escape the heat of the sun. The staff at this hotel are very friendly and always willing to help. We ate outside every evening as the weather was lovely and warm. We thought the food plentiful but lacking in variety some evenings, although I must say neither of us went hungry! The desserts are to die for! Other holiday makers at the hotel seemed to want the same as us - a thoroughly relaxing holiday to recharge our batteries. Most people we spoke to had returned to the hotel on at least 2 or 3 occasions, some even 9 or 10 times - the best recommendation you can have. The hotel is opposite the beach which seems to go on for miles. In the evening we went for beachside walks along paths which had been specially designed for walkers, joggers etc - no need to worry about the traffic. There are plenty of restaurants with shops and stalls to brouse in the evening. All in all a really enjoyable holiday - we will definitely be returning.
Plenty of restaurants, shops and stalls to brouse. A bit more upmarket and not at all tacky. No one bothers you and you can take your time. Everywhere is very clean and the walkways are safe from traffic.

Well located on the main road opposite the main land mark of the resort, the lighthouse. Dont let the shops and arcade either side of the hotel entrance but you off, once through the hotel doors you enter a world of peace and tranquility. We booked through Thomas Cook on one of their select package holidays which gave you free drinks and headphones on the flights and an upgraded room in the hotel.Being in the upgraded rooms you do get an extra maid service in the evenings, a larger room and balcony. If you wish for a sea view I would opt for a room from the third floor and above. The hotel I would suggest is more for the older couple and not for families. The restraunt has two sittings 18.00-20.00 and 20.00-22.00 your automatically but on the later sitting but htis can be changed. On a half board basis we found the breakfasts and evening meals to be really good, all the main meat and fish dishes being cooked fresh. The bar and lounge area is really nice and there is a stage area were you get evening entertainment most nights. The hotel also has a spa on the lower floor which guest are allowed to use free of charge for some but not all of the services offfered. The pool area is clean and well maintained and you will find this area like all in the hotel a quite and relaxing place to be.The only noise we ever heard came from the football bar thats above the arcade and this only occured on two occasions. The Faro Jandia being a more smaller hotel quest recieve a more personal service from the hotel staff, the staff I may add are all polite, cheerful and willing to help.If you need to keep your room on longer ask the day before,we did and were allowed to keep the room on until 15.00 at no charge,so its worth asking. All together this has been a holiday to remeber for all the right reasons, I would certainly go back to the Faro Jandia without any hesitation
There was one let down on the holiday, that was the trip on the subcat booked at the subcat office in the resort found on the main road a little further on from were the market is held. The trip costing 58,50 euro's per person is alot of money for very little...

This is an excellent well situated hotel. Having a large heated outdoor pool as well as the well equiped indoor pool/gym/sauna complex was a great asset. The staff were most helpful especially when we asked to move rooms to get a little evening sun. There is a tennis area but mainly used by people staying for the winter in the resort, there is very little animation, just the daily water arobics, but if you ask there is an excellent boule area and crazy golf. The food is good but not up to the standard of the Iberostar up the road, we had the second sitting and then went on to see the nightly shows. We thought the shows were very good and aimed at the British clientele which is suprising as we were in the minority. A most enjoyable holiday can recommend.
Jandia is just a bit different from the usual Canaries resort. There is of course a wonderful stretch of sand ending at Morro Jable where there is a few nice beach cafes. We also caught the local bus up beyond the Princess hotels and walked back. By the Ho...
