Very good hotel and holiday vg food and service the only probs are the poor air con the fact that some of the rooms look onto a motorway and the high prices for drinks. I would suggest you upgrade to AI on arrival if you like to have a drink or are there with children eg. small bottle water €2.10 same for very small plastic cup of coke, large coke €4.20 yet a 500ml of german wheat beer €5 Hotel caters for mostly Germans so if you have an issue with this then change hotel, we found them to be very jolly and chatty but that is us. The hotel is close to the beach if you can find the exit to the pathway down to it as the hotel is set over 7 floors andbuilt into the cliff( reception on 7th floor. We enjoyed the sun and the food, beach justa pity on the air con and the view( not willing to pay €20 per night for a sea view)

Excellent holiday as good as the reports i had read already everything billing upto expectations. Food superb at all times, staff always polite & helpful, drinks all branded names, and the hotel kept very clean at all times, highly recommended. Would also recommend going all inclusive if you dont mind staying in one place for your holiday, worked out to be great value with a weak euro!!

OverallVery Good Resort

Beaches very clean with a short 10 minute walk to the start of town/shops & bars 30 minutes back from the other end (3.5 euros taxi back easy than a bus). Quit town ideal for families or couples not looking for to much nightlife.

A new hotel opened only 18 months ago. Across the road from the Iberostar Palace. This was our first visit to an Iberostar hotel and we weren't disappointed. We had a wonderful holiday from start to finish.
The hotel is one of the best we have stayed in. All areas very clean. Rooms were a good size.Pool area was super. Three pools and more sunbeds than we've ever come across before which meant that reserving wasn't an issue.Whenever you wanted a bed you were able to get one!! Despite early season our 8 year old spent a lot of time in the pools. One was heated which helped but even the non heated pool was bearable.
Restaurant was excellent. Very well organised and efficient, friendly staff. Lots of choice for breakfast and dinner (all inclusive on offer but we were half board)and all well cooked.
Service was probably the best we've ever had. Lots of lovely touches such as drink on arrival, beautifully wrapped selection of mini Easter eggs in room on Easter Sunday, complimentary drink on entering restaurant on some occasions, fruit kebabs served whilst by pool.
Only negative if you can call it that, is that you have quite a long walk to the main part of Jandia. We hired a car for the week so it wasn't an issue for us. There is a shopping centre being developed closer to the hotel.Supermarket open within this but not a lot else as yet.
Jandia is a lovely resort. Beaches are wonderful.
Will be returning next year to the same hotel. Thoroughly recommended.

yet again here i am writing to you all happy holiday makers and trying to persuade you all to visit the wonderful iberostar palace in jandia. it was an all girls holiday this time and although it rained for 5 of the 7 days we were there we still had a fantastic time. it is stiil mostly filled with our foreign friends from germany but that is ok as you can get by with guten morgen, this hotel over the past 5 years has never dropped its standards and i shall certainly be going again this year 2007 at least twice. it is a place for people who want to chill out not a place for party goers or for ppl who have mobility problems, however i have a daughter who has a disability and all the family helped in the more difficult to access areas so it depends whether you have support or not. the most fantastic place to eat if you go into the village of jandia is the mattarello. the foos is to die for and the staff brilliant.

i love this island and its locals be prepared to try the language and it will get you far.

We left the very cold UK on 23rd Dec for this hotel, to stay for one week for the Christmas period. From the moment we got to the hotel, the staff couldnt have been better! They were very welcoming at reception, answering all the queries we had with no problem - the english spoken by all staff was good, although they really appreciate it when you use a few words of spanish!

The accommodation with sea view was gorgeous - spotlessly cleaned every day and very spacious with more than enough storage for clothes - both hanging and nice deep drawers!
We upgraded to all inclusive on arrival at 24euros per person per day extra, but this included everything - all drinks, alcoholic and soft, and all food. The food in the restaurant was faultless, all very fresh, sooo much choice that you dont know where to start (and each day was different), and the service, again was excellent! The waiters/waitresses, and restuarant manager were helpful in every single way - nothing was too much trouble. For a big hotel, it really felt like the staff wanted to give a first class and personal service, and even remembered my name! Very impressive!

The beach front location of the hotel was beautiful - we swam in the sea on Christmas morning - very refreshing! It is quite isolated but car hire was widely available if you want it to explore the island. Its a nice 15 minutes walk to cosmos, the local strip of shops, which had a wide range of choice from cheaper end of the market postcard/holiday type shops to sports shops with great trainers (I got a pair of diesel trainers for £50 - much cheaper than UK), and several perfumeries/lacoste shop/sunglasses shop - lots of genuine bargains!
As reported in other reviews - not very many english people at all stay the hotel, in fact only about 2 other families there were english that we bumped into, but the German people are fine and tend to spend all the time on the beach, meaning plenty of sunbeds to choose from!

Would definatly recommend this hotel - just for the staff, and that we had such a lovely time! No faults whatsoever.
Will definately be visiting another Iberostar in the future! First class service! We had a brilliant time.
