Hotel Dunas Paradise Reviews

We booked to stay here for 4 nights independently (not with an organised holiday company). It was cheap considering it was all inclusive, however, next time I would definately pay a bit more . The room was basic and on the edge of the complex, the area of the complex where we were needed some improvement. The main problem however was the food. Although there was plenty of it (buffet style), they used very poor quality ingredients and most of it wasn't worth eating! The best thing was that it included free sangria (at certain times)! I would definately reccomend paying a bit more for this type of holiday - if your food is all inclusive you need it to be good.

The Hotel is the rear part of a quite large complex of hotels within the same site, which is very attractively laid out with literally hundreds of Palm trees and other tropical plants.
The Dunas Paradise is 4* and ";All Inclusive"; and is very nicely designed and laid out and should offer a great holiday to anyone who goes there - so long as you are either German, a fluent German speaker or a fluent Spanish speaker.
Why? Because German and Spanish is all that the majority of staff in the hotel are able to speak. If you expect to get by in English you'll find it, as we did, frustrating, even though we had taken the trouble to learn at least a smattering of basic Spanish.
The rooms are very nice, comfortable and spacious, although we did suffer some noise from a neighbouring room via a connecting door that obviously wasn't very soundproof.

The meals are plentiful in variety and quantity, but personally I would liken the overall quality of the hot food to be ";Cafe"; style rather than the ";Restaurant"; quality you'd expect from a hotel that claims to be 4*.
Salads were excellent in both variety and quality, as also, my wife assured me, were the desserts.

99 times out of a hundred the coffee dispensers had run out by then and it didn't seem to be anyone's job to keep them topped up. If we were lucky we'd find a waiter who understood the ";empty"; light when we pointed it out and who'd go a get the materials to top it up. Other times they'd just shrug and point in the direction of one of the other dispensers in the hope that it would be in a better state, which it usually wasn't. Towards the end of the week we were there the coffee dispenser in the central courtyard, when it wasn't empty, was giving out coffee that tasted very burnt and bitter. To us it was just undrinkable although the manager of the entire hotel complex - who did speak good English when we complained - said that the machine used the same coffee materials as all the other dispensers.
As for the wine and Sangria dispensers, although it wasn't quite so common for them to run out, it certainly wasn't unknown.
