bars and restaurants all crammed together in a mall type setting.looky men bothering you all night.beach nice but over crowded ,amadores beach looks nice ,sea clean ,sand harsh building sand ,more like gravel.

Lovely resort, fantastic weather. It is a little quieter than some other resports we have been to, nice and relaxing. There are some nice bars and restaurants though.

Very nice man made beach, lovely blue sea. Excellent restaurants and bars. Some beautiful Hotels overlooking this beach with stunning views.

Liked this resort, lots to see and do. We hired a car while we were there and there is plenty nearnby

A nice resort, would return but to a different hotel next time. The beach is man made, as many in this area are, but it seems to be fairly clear. watch out for the rocks though, you don't see them until you enter the water, and they can be dangerous underfoot.

This resort is centered aroubd the beach.

Really clean beach with large choice of resturants and facilities. You can hire sunbeds for 3 euros each and a parasol for 2.5 euros, Have plenty of 50 cent pieces to had as the toilets cost this.

Resort was brilliant. A horseshoe shaped bay which was edged with restaurants and little shops. Beach was crushed shells and a bit sore onthe feet until reaching the sea. There was some inflatables in the water at one side for the kids (payable) and the water was glorious although freezing. Very pretty.

i would recommend the hotel. there is alot to do in the resort such as going to mogan on the boats and taking a ride on the jet boats there is also paragliding and dolphin trips

Amadorres has some nice restaurants and lovely beech, Puerto rico has nice beech to town centre getting a bit run down

Amadores is a man-made beach and kept to an excellent standard. Appropriate for couples, families and groups alike. Locals arrive after work and are plentiful at the weekends, thus adding to the atmosphere. Plenty of seating space both on the beach and on the piers for those who do not like the sand! There is a walk-way leading the the main resort of Puerto Rico which takes around half an hour to walk, but is a pleasant scenic walk.

As a family of five eating out I found it to be really affordable both in the hotel bar and also while out.

Amadores was a very pleasant little resort, The restaraunts at the beach were very good although we only ate at a couple of them but all the others looked lovely and the sunset coming down every evening was superb (only if your into that sort of thing though) The whole area was very nice and would recommend it to others, It was only a short walk (about 20 mins) to Puerto Rico or about 3.50-4.00 euro's in a taxi and there is plenty to do down there on an evening from eating, drinking, shopping, haggling with the lucky lucky men but something for everyone, This is our second trip to Gran Canaria first one we stayed in Puerto Rico and now done Amadores the latter is the better out the two as Puerto Rico can be a bit much for young families, But all in all we would definatley come back again we love Gran Canaria

the amadores beach is beautifull and we were told it was made of crushed coral so the sand nery got hot.there are lovely restaurants and little shops on the beach one trip we did was a camel ride would recomend.overall a beautilfull place and will be coming back.

Having been to Gran Canaria before and stayed in Puerto Rico and spent quiet alot of euros on taxis to and from Amadores beach, we decided this time we would try and find somewhere nearer to Amadores. We spent most days on the beach, and didnt go in the pool at all. We ate at mostly at the Beach Bars the one we particularly liked was Bahlia (situated near steps).There is no nightlife for the party goers, but just a relaxed atmosphere and a fantastic view of the sea and sunset as you have your meal. The beach is particularly busy on Saturdays and Sundays when the locals come down. Sunbeds 3 euros, brollies 2.5euros. We did find that the cost of the meals seemed more expensive than previous years. Our evening meals cost between 45 - 55 euros.

Excellent all round hotel, good location, good food, good staff... just good...!!! Short walk from the beach, short cab ride to the main town where you can pickup a bus to many enjoyable night spots
