Plenty to see and do, within short taxi rides away from hotel. masspalomas is the furthest to go for the camel rides but well worth it to see the sand dunes. just up the road Playa del Ingles offers busy shopping centres by day and night clubs and bars by night not forgetting the classic Yumbo centre where you will meet many 'women' with leather trousers, fantatic hair, brilliant make up and........ an adams apple!!!!! well worth a look, probably not for the younger children but the shows the drag queens put ion are extremeley entertaining.

The resort not up to much has a small beach, which you are charged for sun beds and the rep made out the beach went with the hotel, only 2 bars, and a couple of restaurants, we caught taxis to other places, and i have never experienced wind like it, and apparently this bay is known for it. o.k. if you want a early night each night. It is definitaley ideal for young families very little to do

Small resort consisting of a few shops, bars/resturants and supermarkets. Stayed all inclusive therefore cannot comment on standard of food on offer however the prices in both the resturants and the supermarkets were very expensive! The beach that we used was rocky/ sandy and could get very rough at times but the kids loved it when it was calm crab hunting on the rocks and swimming!

quiet area, clean and tidy. nice restuarants. supermarkets cheaper than hotel shop. close to airport - only 15 mins or so. nice chinese restuarant - if you fancy a change from hotel

Very small and quiet with only a dozen or so restaurants, bars and shops. Avopid thsi resort if you're after a lively resort with lots to do

An ideal family resort and we were not disappointed. We did hire a car which was great and gave us the freedom to explore the island a bit more. We spent much of the time based at the hotel as we were only there a week and wanted a relaxing holiday!

I am unbale to comment on the resort as we did not leave the hotel Orcidea apart from visiting the shops in the square oposite the hotel.

A nice friendly resort with good bus sevice to the bigger resorts. Ideal for families with young children who dont want to venture out too much.

We stayed all inclusive at the Hotel Orquidea and in fairness didn't leave the hotel other than to visit the local supermarket. The resort is compact and because we enjoyed the hotel so much didn't feel the need to venture out

very quiet resort great for young familys or couples wanting a bit of peace.

I was just wondering where all the old team are nowaday's?Could anyone tell me where Anna,special k,Top bananna,gemma sparkle,mark,boney ben and tucker are nowadays and how i get in touch with them ?

This resort is quiet with little to do, although there is a small square with a few bars, shops and restaurants.

It is only a short bus ride to busier places and better beaches which are all easily accessible.

This hotel is definitely worth a try although if you take yourselve to seriously don't bother, this place is really for kicking your shoes off both kids and adults alike.

I have read some reviews on other sights that critise this hotel, i.e. not a 4 star, entertainement more for adults than kids. These people should remember the holiday is for the whole fa,ily and I feel the staff when I have visited have always gauged this at the right level ensuring everyone has a good time. I think this is a quiet but lovely resort and think the hotel is fantastic.

Very small resort with a shopping centre that consists of bars cafes and a few small shops, no bars to have a relaxing drink with a nice view, very little beach if you could call it a beach, walk along beach path through the building site carry on for about a mile and find a small beach bar peacful, relaxing and very welcoming but thats it nothing else at all, very dull.
