"Mogan"
Overall Sub Resort Rating:
Resort is reasonably quiet, with lovely beachfront and marina bars. Would recommend if you want a traditional Canarian holiday.

"Puerto de Mogan"
Overall Sub Resort Rating:
A lovely little harbour with loads of restaurants and a good choice of food. The canarians are lovely people, very friendly and helpful. There is a market every Friday that goes all around the harbour. The Mogan Mar at the end of the beachfront is exceptional. It looks very basic but you can't fault the service, food and friendliness of staff. The drinks are cheap too!

"Beautiful Resort"
Overall Sub Resort Rating:
Puerto Mogan is a beautiful relaxing resort for just simply chilling out. We were there in June which was a bit quiet as it was classed as out of season but don't let this put you off. The scenery is stunning and the views of the marina with all the white washed buildings simply take your breath away.
There are plenty of bars and restaurants to choice from by the beach or further round by the harbour. Everyone is very friendly especially the Irish Tavern by the Marina. I have to say that it was the least "Irish" bar I've ever been to but it had a wonderful atmosphere and the staff were brilliant.
The only downside to this resort, if you can call it that, was the transfer. It took over 1 and a half hours to get to the hotel. The main part of the journey was ok as there is a motorway but the last part is pretty hairy as the roads are narrow and cling to the rocks with sheer drops on one side. I would certainly recommend a taxi transfer as it would take half the time to get there.
Overall this is a fantastic resort, you won't be disappointed.

"mogan only"
Overall Sub Resort Rating:
Glad we were half board as drinks and food extremely expensive outside the hotel. Mogan quite pretty with its marina and waterways, definitely worth a stroll before dinner.

"Puerto Mogan"
Overall Sub Resort Rating:
We enjoyed walking around Puerto Mogan - it is not large by any means but rather quaint and very pretty with canals and bridges running through and around the old harbour. We spent a lot of time wandering around the old harbour and fed a variety of colourful "tropical" fish with breadcrumbs and enjoyed an interesting hour or two doing so during the holiday. There are some interesting shops and there were plenty of colourful flowers around the front gardens of the properties fronting the walkway around the harbour. The restaurants were generally good and the service was excellent although we only visited for lunch because we stayed half board at the hotel. Prices were high with the Euro virtually matching the Pound - £6 for a small bottle of water and a small bottle of sprite (a wineglass full) was a bit steep. The beach was small but sandy and adequate with showers and toilets etc.,

"Excellent location"
Overall Sub Resort Rating:
This is the hotel for you if you want to have a quiet relaxing romantic week, strolling around the nearby port and taking it easy walking around unspoilt small pretty houses and the canals (hence the name "Little Venice"). Not a disco in sight so not for teens/lively Brits. But good to catch up on reading! Only busy time in town is market day (Friday) so avoid. Both hotel and village is most suitable/friendly for those with mobility problems: very flat and no stairs (lifts in hotel). Pretty village/port to sit, relax and people watch! Lots of plants and interesting features.

"Little Venice"
Overall Sub Resort Rating:
Puerto Mogan has a nickname of Little Venice and it became clear when taking a walk from the hotel to the harbour, which is so lovely and unspoilt. You come across little bridges and as you cross them, you look down and see the water going in between the houses. There are little restaurants and cafes where you can sit and watch the world go by all in this wonderful peaceful setting.

"quiet peaceful perfect"
Overall Sub Resort Rating:
If you want quiet in nice clean surroundings youve got it,very pleasant Canarian style houses, round a fishing harbour and marina.Small wery clean beach with plenty choice for lunch venues, didn't eat in town at night but some attractive eating places would have tempted me if the hotel food had not been so good.Enough bars for a pleasant drink in the evening but very low key.

"A place with some original charm."
Overall Sub Resort Rating:
Puerto de Mogán is one of the least commercialised resorts on GC and still retains some original charm and features particularly amongst the closely packed buildings and alleyways down at the harbour. However, there is a large underground carpark behind the beach front area which was either out of use or little patronised and although not particularly intrusive, it did detract a bit from the town’s atmosphere as did several large areas of derelict ground. Another attraction of this location is the choice of excursions possible. If you are able-bodied and it’s not too warm you can trek or cycle over the disused road to Venegueras which also allows access to a long circuit hill-track to the north. Alternatively, you can hire a car and take off up the Mogán valley into the mountains. The golf course at Playa de Tauro is ‘nearby’ but expensive and the main coastal road is a bit daunting. All in all I would return to this resort.
