"Excellent location"
Overall Sub Resort Rating:
This is the hotel for you if you want to have a quiet relaxing romantic week, strolling around the nearby port and taking it easy walking around unspoilt small pretty houses and the canals (hence the name "Little Venice"). Not a disco in sight so not for teens/lively Brits. But good to catch up on reading! Only busy time in town is market day (Friday) so avoid. Both hotel and village is most suitable/friendly for those with mobility problems: very flat and no stairs (lifts in hotel). Pretty village/port to sit, relax and people watch! Lots of plants and interesting features.

"Little Venice"
Overall Sub Resort Rating:
Puerto Mogan has a nickname of Little Venice and it became clear when taking a walk from the hotel to the harbour, which is so lovely and unspoilt. You come across little bridges and as you cross them, you look down and see the water going in between the houses. There are little restaurants and cafes where you can sit and watch the world go by all in this wonderful peaceful setting.

A more traditional port and resort that still maintains some local influence. Not for the 18 to 30,s maybe but a very nice place to stay.

"A place with some original charm."
Overall Sub Resort Rating:
Puerto de Mogán is one of the least commercialised resorts on GC and still retains some original charm and features particularly amongst the closely packed buildings and alleyways down at the harbour. However, there is a large underground carpark behind the beach front area which was either out of use or little patronised and although not particularly intrusive, it did detract a bit from the town’s atmosphere as did several large areas of derelict ground. Another attraction of this location is the choice of excursions possible. If you are able-bodied and it’s not too warm you can trek or cycle over the disused road to Venegueras which also allows access to a long circuit hill-track to the north. Alternatively, you can hire a car and take off up the Mogán valley into the mountains. The golf course at Playa de Tauro is ‘nearby’ but expensive and the main coastal road is a bit daunting. All in all I would return to this resort.

"quiet peaceful perfect"
Overall Sub Resort Rating:
If you want quiet in nice clean surroundings youve got it,very pleasant Canarian style houses, round a fishing harbour and marina.Small wery clean beach with plenty choice for lunch venues, didn't eat in town at night but some attractive eating places would have tempted me if the hotel food had not been so good.Enough bars for a pleasant drink in the evening but very low key.

"Ideal for copules - quiet & diverse"
Overall Sub Resort Rating:
Known as the Little Venice of the Canaries due to it's waterway down the side of the resort and the many bridges and crossings (complete with flowers) over it - it is a truly picturesque resort. This is diverse resort - not at all British (thank God!) with a wide range of visitors - German, Scandinavian, Spanish, Italian etc. British are not the majority! VERY cosmopolitan, in October at least, and we loved it!!!! Already planning when to go back as so relaxed and laid back. Beautiful, picturesque marina with white-washed buildings with fabulous flowers growing from the top and the main eating/drinking places scattered amongst them along with all the boats. If you want a lively, dancing holiday DO NOT GO HERE. It's all about quiet nights eating and talking - not one lively. Not the place for families if you want places to entertain your kids or youngsters looking for wild night out! This is a place where you you relax and make your own entertainment - quiet, quiet, quiet!! And we loved it for that!!!! Lots of lovely places to eat - far too many to mention although we were partial to the Marina Bar which we found to be friendly and welcoming (showed just about every sport on various screens which was a little confusing at times but great fun!) They also have apartments to rent which we are planning to use next time (approx 420 Euros per week for 1 bed apt) and they sponsor the multiple Jazz festivals - we were there for the one in October and well worth going down for! Beach is man-made but still lovely and very sheltered. 9 Euros for two beds and a parasol - the usual but with no short supply except on a Sunday when the beach seems much busier! Water very shallow and warm - in Oct at leastwith a few pedalos for hire as well. Planty of places to eat and drink around the beach and only a 5 min walk to the marina for much wider selection. Beautiful resort and a place to return to for rest and relaxation- for definite! Went on the boat trip to Puerto Rico and while the trip was worth it (for the boat alone) we left within an hour of arriving because it was evrythingb we hated - petered by street seller, and a mass-market shopping resort complete with loud bars etc it wasn't us at all. Instead we chose to hire a car on another day and head for the mountains - something I would highly recommend! It's tough if you have fear of heights (like me!) but the views are spectacular and some of the northern resorts are well worth a visit. Arucas (fabulous church), Teror and Tejeda are all worth a visit and can easily be done in one day. Will be back here next year for definite!

"Puerto Mogan"
Overall Sub Resort Rating:
One of the best resorts I have visited.Lovely to have a beach, harbour with yachts and also an area of the harbour with the locals working on boats and nets. Crystal clear water with a variety of tropical marine fish. In May the flowers around the harbour are beautiful. Quiet with plenty of seats to sit and watch the world go by. Easy access to other resorts via a glass bottomed ferry. Certainly on my go again list but mainly for 50+ age range who need relaxation rather than entertainment. One hour from airport on a good road.

"Taurito"
Overall Sub Resort Rating:
Note that the Mogan Princess is not located in the delightful resort of Puerto Mogan but in a small, still developing bay next to it called Taurito. There is little to do in Taurito although the beach is nice and various leisure facilities are being built now.
