As our holiday was all inclusive we stayed close to our hotel, most of the time. It's part of a group of three hotels, next to each other, that share facilities. One has a Chinese, one a Mexican corner and one an American theme diner. You can use any of these free of charge! The beach very near to these is a beautiful cove, perfect for sunbathing, people watching or making sandcastles. You can catch buses into Ibiza Town, we only went once...we wanted a relaxing holiday!

The staff were friendly and helpful. The guests were a mixed bunch, various nationalities but everyone seemed friendly. Our hotel entertainment team did an excellent job keeping most guests happy. We had brilliant weather. The beach is down several steps which could be a problem for buggies/wheelchair users but there may have been an alternative route. I would totally recommend this hotel for a great holiday...no matter what your age or nationality. Hoping to book for 2009!

Nice little resort if you want a quite holiday with nothing to do

We stay at the Del REy apartments due to Kosmar going bust. We took my Mother and Father with us ans had a 2 bedroom apartment which was of a good size the only down thing of the apartments was that one of the bedrooms were seperated by a curtin which ment if anyone got up really early you were a wake. The cleaness of the rooms were good but on our 3rd day we had no hot water due to them filling the pool. The manager Toni was not much help on asking him about the hot water he said that we could have hot water for 10mins.

Portinatx is a really lovely part of the island but there is nothing to do and we found it expencive ther is only one real supermarket in the resort 4 good places to eat the best that we found were The GRANARDA just up the road we went to the Chinesee a number of times. Don't eat in the bar next to the appartments as this is known as food posion ally.

Roll on next year when we will be going back to Zante

I went here in October. and i really enjoyed the holiday. the bar staff were really polite in hotel 1 espeshially Davis and Jose. however in 2, they wernt so polite unless you were spanish. apart from one of the bar men who we got along with. i thourt the food was really nice, was different from what we normally get on holiday, and i thought it was better. id sertainly come back to this hotel for anouther holiday.. and id recomend it to my friends and family.

Stayed at this hotel september 2008, The food was very limited and usually cold, most things were in breadcrumbs no cards to tell you what they were, we played a game guess what the soup is usually couldnt tell, got fed up after 3 days and ate out. Staff didnt have a smile or a nice word for anybody.drinks in plastic cups even hot drinks had to use 3 cups so not to get burnt, bar should have been open till 12, but closed at 11.30 if you were in the queue you didnt get served, No entertainment at all not even any background music, first thing you see when you go in is large posters for bar across road owned by same people good entertainment but very expensive drinks, disgusting when your all inclusive, booked with on the beach also booked transport with them didnt pick us up on return journey so had to book a taxi . all in all worst holiday we have ever had' please dont book you will regret it

Having spoken to a lot of the bar owners the place shuts down as soon as the clubs close, we were told that the other side of Ibiza was open but San An and the surrounding areas all shut, hardly any thing was open and a lot of places were boared up so looked a bit like a ghost town. Its ok if you you want a hotel based holiday or don't mind walking to find a bar. Would reccomened it for familes with older kids and couples..dont think there is enough to do for the younger ones.

Hotel is a little tired looking could do with a bit of a revamp but saying that it was clean and tidy. Receptionist were great, helpful and nice. Food ok but got a bit boring towards the end of the week. Saying that though it was really well presented and the staff were great. The bar staff looked a bit sour faced but get chatting to them and they are a real laugh...especially little Manuel he was so sweet and helpful, worked 20 hours a day and nothing was too much trouble for him. The entertaiment was good, Luigi the entertainer was soooo funny got everyone up and making fools of them selves !!The hotel is right opposite the beach which is good but can be a little noisy, we went in October so not sure quite how noisy it would be in the summer !!! All in all no problems at all and would say if you are looking for a cheap getaway its perfect.

fab resort in an excellent position,best in the area.we are a family of 4,2 adults,2 kids(ages 8+10).didn't see the kids til late afternoon as they were with the many friends they made + were in the kids club-lots of fun for both kids + parents.

would definately rae this hotel with more than it has. we were self-catering but also went half board for 1wk,which was a good as it added variety to the food we ate. very clean + the staff are the friendliest ive met,they make you feel very eelcome + would definatley go back.

The weather was poor in late may-june 08, the bay area did'nt look great under cloudy skys,it came to life when the sun was out,great views anywhere on the beach paths.Afragmented resort with no prom to speak of,coastal paths more like it.the top end of the bay has decent family entertainmet,WEST END deffo for 16-20yr group.and upmarket cafe/bars for the sophistacated/cash rich at the end o marina.it has it all,some are led to believe

Hotel bellamar is an ideal base for soaking up the sun,nice pool area,excellent standards all over,location is about right.sun loungers are comfy,staff discreet,but efficient.

Resort its self is a great place to visit...... Just not this hotel!

Our return flight home from this holiday should have been on the 23rd Oct but due to the terrible time we had, I had no choice but to book an earlier flight home which cost my self and husband another 340 Euro! We had been there 5 days and it was the worst experience we have ever had. I can only thank the young girl on reception for allowing me to use her computer to book my flight back home. All the other staff were a waste of space and couldn't even explain why tour operator information was disappearing from the walls and the books going missing from the information table, which made it difficult to contact anyone who may have been able to help. We asked for the complaints book and was told we couldn't even have that. The food was shocking and was the same each day. We really felt for the young children there and for those who paid all inclusive. Maid service we're there but did nothing, but we are not surprised as they apparently was not getting paid. I heard the owner of this hotel and many others in the area was in Prison. The amount of rooms being broke into was frightening. This was not the hotel we had booked and was down graded. I had stayed in San Antonio 8 weeks before for 2 weeks with my Husband, Daughter of 14 and her friend and had a fantastic time so believe me this is nothing to do with the resort! There were cockroaches, damp bedding. As for the pool area, there we're no room for beds! not that you would want to bathe there as the smell was disgusting. I could go on but I hope this would be enough to deter people from having there holiday ruined. My hearts go out to people who are still stuck there now..... They were all complaining.

Good night life and nice beach

Well to all the people complaining about the Marco polo 2 have you ever heard of the phrase you get what you pay for. The hotel is a pretty cheap price so what do you expect. if all you want is a central location to San An town its great. It backs onto Eden and only a 5 min walk to the strip so you can stumble home. The rooms are fairly basic but we only stayed there 5 days and the room was cleaned at least 3 days out of those so we felt it was fairly clean. the pool area is not the nicest but u an literally a 2 minute walk away. We had asked for a balcony and didn't get one but to be fair we weren't planning on spending that much time in the room so it didn't matter. The hotel is very young so at night it can be very noisey and the walls are very thin. I would not recomend it for families but San An would not be anywhere i would recomend to families anyway. A good hotel if you just want somewhere to lay your head for a couple of hours after a heavy night and good value.
