"Ghost Town"
Overall Resort Rating:
We went in the first week of September. The resort was extremely quite. The brochures promise of a range of restaurants isn't correct. There is the balsat restaurant which is nice but average food, the Chinese which I really didn't appeal. The remainder are cafe / snack bar affairs. The best of which being the british bar. The Happy Friar mentioned in earlier reviews has been closed for the 2009 season.
We travelled out of town most nights to eat i.e. san antonio or ibiza town. The bus to ibiza town is reasonable but the times do limit your nights out (during the week last bus is 8.15pm ish). Taxis were relatively easy to get but expensive (approx 34 euro to ibiza town etc).
The beach is small but clean and well lifeguarded. Other than sunbathing there is very little to do in resort.
There are 3 supermarkets in resort. None are fantastically stocked but you can get limited basics to make snacks etc in the appartments.

"puerto san miguel"
Overall Resort Rating:
Majorly outpricing itself. We know the pound is poor but 4 euros for a pint is excessive. Many bars closed. We have been at this time of year for the last 4 years and never known it so bad. Unfortunately all inclusive is a must!! A loaf of spanish bread was 2.50 in the supermarket. Have loved this place for years but dont think we will be going back!

A small resort that is dominated by the 3 all inclusive hotals, so the bars and restaurants in resort were quite expensive

Very small and quiet resort, but the brochure described it as such, and so we weren't expecting anything bigger.

"Small and amazing"
Overall Resort Rating:
The resort is isolated and remote, the nearest small village with pharmacy, bank and tobaconist is 10 minutes in a taxi. The beach is beautiful, the sand clean and the sea turquoise and warm.Great watersports and ferry trips to other places. The irish bar is fab with live music and a great atmosphere. The disco is not so good, full of schoolchildren and they promise free drinks which dont materialise.

"San Miguel"
Overall Resort Rating:
Puerto San Miguel is a very small part of Ibiza and they really do have the monoply when charging for food and drink - luckily we were all inclusive but if you did fancy eating out then the choice is terrible. The prices are verging on the ridiculous, although the sports bar is average at 3 euros a pint. I found the Irish bar to be very expensive. Luckily there is a great bus service and you can get anywhere on the Island in 25minutes.

"Apart from the reps, a good holiday!!"
Overall Resort Rating:
Puerto San Miguel was a lovely resort, very quiet in itself but lots to do within the three hotels. The mini train is well worth a trip on and there are loads of lovely walks around. Take advantage of the free water sports, especially the canoeing around the bay, there's so much to see that you would usually miss out on. Just be careful of the speed boats, they think it's hilarious when they try to push you off the boats!!! San Miguel is what you make it, quiet in the town but lively in the hotels. Great resort, we loved it!!!

"Hotel Galeon- All inclusive "
Overall Resort Rating:
San miguel is quite a small resort but there is plenty to do within the hotel. the beach is lovely with a life guard on show. canoeing is involved in the all inclusive but you have to pay for pedalos. if you dont fancy the food in any of the hotels there is a fish restuarant situated on the beach, and a supermarket full of everything you need. i will deffiantly be going back to this resort but maybe stop in a different hotel.
