Just got back after having an excellent time. Had all inclusive holidays before this was the best by far. The food was very good and varied something for everyone. Rooms basic but cleaned thoroughly every day and you only shower and sleep in them. Entertainment absolutely brilliant Zorro, Stan, Ollie and Coby really made the holiday the best ever, to get people involved was never any hardship volleyball was so much fun along with other daytime activities.

The resort is quiet but with so much going on in the hotel it dosen't make any difference. Bar staff very friendly especially Jose and Tito Ramon. Would like to thank everyone for lovely time hope to see you all next year!

Third time we have been to San Miguel and it is our perfect holiday. We stayed in the beach club and although the rooms are basic they are cleaned every day. All the staff are very pleasant and Santiago the resturant manager always makes you feel welcome. The food is excellent and there is always a choice of pasta, fish and 2/3 meat dishes.
All the reps are helpful and pleasant but the best part of the holiday is the evening entertainment provided by Zorro, Ollie and Stan.

We will be back year after next!!!

Just back from our second year at San Miguel. Had a fantastic time(again). The hotel is clean and the food is good.

The entertainment staff of zorro, ollie, stan and cobi were excellent and remembered us straight away from last year. The only complaint about the entertainment is that ut was almost a carbon-copy of last year...even zorro's jokes and ";off the cuff remarks were exactly the same"; !!

Loads to do all day and night for both the kids and adults if you are into that kind of thing...if not no-ones forces you to do it.

the drinks in the Western Salloon are poured until you say stop..!! Jose and Roger are really nice and they also remembered us from last year..maybe something to do with the amount of times we went to the bar!!

We took a group of friends with us this year whu reaaly loved the place and have already booked for next year...think we'll maybe give it a miss though as it can be a bit repetitive...!!

Noticed this year that ther were much more teenagers than last year..they were a bit ";boisterous"; at times which escalated to a bit of trouble on our last night..lack of parental control perhaps?? Still it waqs a bit scarey for the younger kids who were about at the time.

All in all a great holiday and a special mention to the three ";belgian machines"; who do so much to make eveyones holiday a good one...thanx Zorro Ollie and Stan the Man....

moyra and family.

We came back from the san Miguel hotel this week and have already booked for next year.
It was the first we had been here but we spoke to a lot of people who have been before and have been back again a number of times.
Had a bit of a poor start weatherwise with a thunderstorm on our second day which was a bit of an experience, ended up spending all day in the bar and was worse for wear by the end of the night.

Entertainment was above average for holiday resorts, kept the kids well entertained. The Hotel and Thomson entertainers were good especially Zorro and Paul (Thomson the Dog)

Plenty to do through the day especially 5-a-side every day at 1100, good way to sweat the beer 9etc) out of you. Also loads to do on beach which is literally on the doorstep from the beach club pool.

Rooms are a bit small if you've got 4 beds but you don't spend much time awake in there anyway.

As i said we're going back next year so I can retain the 'Golden Flip Flop' at 5-a-side.
If you go between 15th and 28th June next year beware a bloke with a strange haircut who will push you in the pool ,pull your shorts down, etc.....

We have just come home from a two week all inclusive holiday at San Miguel Hotel which was recommended to us by a friend.

We had a lovely clean room on the 4th floor which overlooked the entertainment area and hotel pool. If our youngest was too tired after the mini-disco, for the evening entertainment(which was very good) we could put her to bed and watch from the balcony. There was a great choice of food in the restaurant which was well presented.

If you want to be 'entertained' all day you need to use the beach-club pool although nobody is forced to join in. For a more relaxed time the hotel pool is perfect. The staff are fantastic always helpful and polite. The reps are always where they say they will be and the kids clubs were brilliant. The resort itself is quiet and pretty. Buses run into San Antonio and Ibiza Town from just outside the hotel and there is a cave (40min guided tour) which is worth a visit a short walk away. There is also a road train which will take you to Portinax or St Vincent on Monday,Wednesday and Friday (3hrs). You can also take a 1 hour trip on the glass bottom boat from the beach. The Thomson excursions were a bit pricey however the Mardi Gras was a good night (although very late for little ones...arrived back at hotel at 1.30am) and the slide and seek was very enjoyable. (2hrs at hippy market at Escana followed by 3hrs at Aguamar water park in Playa d'en Bossa)

We would definitly recommend this holiday to frinds and we would go there again.

This is the first holiday that we have been on together and the resort and the hotel made it such a great one. The rooms are basic but funtional and if you take part in everything that they is to do, the only thing you will need the room for is sleeping and changing your clothes. The level of service we experienced was excellent.

The hotel and the surrounding area was spotless and it did not matter how much mess was made in the evening, it was all gone by the morning. The choice and the quality of the food was very good and we had no cause to complain about anything.

The reps in the resort were the best I have ever met. They were always on hand and the way that they worked was very professional. The entertainment was superb. Zorro is in a class of his own and the best night by far is Boogie Nights which only happens once in a two week cycle. If you are only going for a week I hope you are lucky.(we were).

All the entertainment takes place on the main stage which is outside the Western Saloon. Get there early or you will stuggle to find a seat some nights, as the shows are that popular. They start with the kids section and the main show starts at about 21.00 to 21.30 ending at 23.30. Which means that you can take the kids to bed without the constant loud music, that you find in some resorts, going on until the early hours of the morning. I could write so much more and none of it bad about this holiday but in summary.

This was an absolute brilliant holiday and I would definetely go back there again (next time for two weeks though) the children loved it and if any of the staff or reps are reading this: Thank You for a great time!!!!!

This was our first all inclusive holiday. We have been home 2 days now and already planning our return next year.

Food was varied and if you didn't like the look of it there was always a salad we all found plenty to eat in the resturant all the time.We booked adjoining rooms spacious but basic and with a teenage Daughter two bathrooms were essential.

Only downside to the resort the few shops there closed at 8pm no point in walking your evening meal off whilst browsing. didn't find it a problem to get served at any of the bars even when busy (this could be different in high season).I had the task of getting up early to get sun beds once again in high season I imagine finding a space to fit all the family side by side could be tricky plenty of beds but a bit short of space around the pool.

The entertainment was just right, Zorro,Stan,Ollie,Coby and the Thomson reps all worked hard to keep you busy if you got fed up just lazing in the sun but there was no pressure to enter any of the games/competitions if you didn't want to (But with bottles of spirits for prizes there were plenty of takers.)

Evening entertainment two or three profesional acts a week the rest once again provided by Zorro and Co theese usually required audience participation and were great fun if you went along with them especially Boogie nights. If on the other hand you just wanted a quiet drink the Cocktail bar was ideal Alfredo was a great barman who could speak several languages and made you feel very welcome,as did all the staff in the hotel.

Our biggest complaint would have to be the lifts they seemed to stop when and where they felt like although this was probabally due to kids messing around with the buttons, but then you could always walk your tea off by using the stairs!
With the resort being small we felt perfectly safe letting the children out of our sight. They in turn thought it was great having a bit of independance.

A BIG PLUS in my opinion were the two or three chaps who looked after the canoes, windsurfers and sail baots. One seemed to be constantly riding around the bay in a small inflatable dinghy looking out for anyone who seemed to be in trouble. As I said we were very sad to leave and can't wait to get back. So if you want a holiday where you can do as much or as little as you like you could do a lot worse than to give this place a try.
