"good value for money"

Overall Hotel Rating:

Good

Open quote

This is my third stay at the Bellamar which speaks volumes in itself!! Myself and two friends stayed at this hotel four a four night break in Ibiza. The hotel overall is very good value for money, the rooms are clean and comfortable but perhaps a little on the basic side. One advantage was having a fridge in the room at no extra cost which was great for storing drinks in as the bar was a little expensive. The staff on reception were ok, bar staff friendly however the waiters/waitresses were a little abrupt and we sometimes felt rushed whilst eating. Also during my stay an expensive designer dress went missing, which the hotel said they had not found, the only explanation for this is that the cleaning staff were responsible...? Overall a good hotel which I would recommend to others.

We stayed at the bellamar for 3 nights to experience Ibiza for the clubbing. Hotel was fab, really clean, lovely staff and breakfast was really nice with a wide choice. The hotel is great if you want to be away from the center of San Antonio and it's about 15 min walk into the center or 5 euro in a taxi. I definately go back there because it was a really nice hotel.

Stayed at the bellamar on the 26th July 2009 for a week, the room was great maid service every day where you get fresh towels and you dont have to pay for the air con or mini fridge. Had a great view from the room looking over the sea and at night you can see the sunset. Pool not to big/small and sunbeds dont get taken till between 10-11am so you dont need to reserve with your towels. Im a fussy eater and found that by the end of the week i was fed up with eating chips every night.

This was the most amazing hotel i have ever stayed in. It was pure luxury and i enjoyed every minute of my stay. From the warm welcome at reception when we checked in to the wonderful evening turn down service, anything you could possibly have wanted was there. I really can't rave about this hotel enough! The staff were attentive and friendly. The one negative and it is a small one is that the pool was not befitting a five star hotel, it wasn't large enough for the amount of guests that wanted to use it. However the excellent sauna and steam room made up for it in a way.

Great hotel, suitable for anyone. Rooms were brilliant, linen changed daily and the food was top class, I prefer eating out on holiday but it was so good we spent most dinner time in there. Hotel is also close to beach, shops and nightlife.

Myself (36) and my girlfriend (37) went to this hotel on 5th june 2009 for 2 weeks. This is by far the best hotel we've stopped in, all the staff are friendly and helpful all work together well as a team, from maids to restaurant staff to reception to bar staff and night watchman(very nice man never found out his name), food was excellent, I'll try anything and adventurous with food and my girlfriend is quite fussy and both was catered for without exception. only downside is pool area small, enough beds for everyone but very few parasols for the really hot days, drinks in hotel fairly expensive but ok to have a couple on your way out, apart from that a very big thanks to the hotel bellamar.

Up the road there's a fantastic bar called the "funky lizard" both Maddie and Karl made us very welcome and it felt like it had been our local for years, they do bingo and quizzes and a lot of banter from Karl, they really get to know their customers, if anyone does decide to go to this bar take karl either some "morrisons the best range" crumpets or some M&S crumpets, you'll be well looked after, and all maddie would ask for is to be pleasant cos you'll get it back 10 fold.

All the rooms are air-conditioned at no extra cost.. they are nicely decorated and all have balconies. The bathrooms are almost entirely marble with a bath, shower, toilet, bidet, sink and a hairdryer if you haven't packed your own. You have a TV which has one English channel, a fridge, a safe and plenty of space to store all your things. The breakfasts are excellent and cater to all tastes with the option of full english, cereals, continental cold meats, cheeses, etc. The staff are very helpful, polite and professional. The hotel also has a wellness centre and a gym, pool tables and internet access.

"Best of the 6 on the Bay we have tried"

Overall Hotel Rating:

Excellent

Open quote

This hotel is fine. Overall this is the best of the 6 hotels we have tried on the bay. Everything worked including the thermostatically controlled aircon which was quiet enough to leave on overnight. The staff were friendly. Cleaning excellent. The room was not ever-large but was adequate. A drying rack on the balcony would have been handy. Take some string and pegs. We were B&B and breakfast was was OK for this area but not the sort of spread available in for example the Arona Gran in Tenerife. Sunbeds were available all but one time. The pool and grounds are compact. The Bellamar does not have the imposing grounds and atriums that some Tenerife and Cyprus hotels have but is good for the area. In June there were a good mix of ages and it was a peaceful retreat. (Far better than the Palmyra for which my review had to be so negative that it did not get published.)

"BEST IN SAN ANTONIO BAY."

Overall Hotel Rating:

This was a lovely hotel, with lovely staff, and no children which made all the difference to us,we went in a group of 6, and all of us agreed this was worth that little bit extra, close enough for all ameneties and a lovely 10 minute stroll in to san antonio, we were first drop off from the airport so not waiting around too long. Hotel staff were happy to look after our luggage on last day and even had a shower room for quick wash and brush up.Food was of good quality and we were never stuck for anything to eat, would recommend this hotel, and we will be returning for a nice relaxing week.

"Great Location - Great hotel"

Overall Hotel Rating:

The hotel is really ideally situated - just close enough to stroll into San An or beyond to the Sunset Strip but far enough away from the hustle of San An. The beach opposite is perfect for the lazy or for an hour or 2 sunbathing. Everything in the hotel is comfortable and is a great base for those just wanting a decent base..

Would recommend this hotel primarily to couples who want to dip in and out of the parties that Ibiza has to offer..

After many visits to Magaluf in Mallorca decided to give San Antonio a blast in Ibiza. The hotel is well sited approx in the middle of the resort and just across the road from the beach.Room was clean and nicely decorated but view was poor having been given a non sea view, did ask for a sea view on arrival but was declined to say the least.Choice of meals were very good on the evening you had a choice of about 6 main meals so something for everyone. The pool area is ok if a bit on the small side, sunbeds were always freely available whatever time of day, the food from the pool bar is good and reasonably priced as are the drinks. The surrounding area was a bit short on bars to suit our age and were short of punters most of the time.We ventured into the west end of San Antonio on a few evenings and went to Cafe Del Mar and Cafe Mambo these bars are good if on the expensive side. All in all a pleasent holiday but dare i say not as good as Magaluf.
