excellent hotel when we actually got there as bad cross winds- which had been carrying on for 3 days- ensured that our flight was diverted within a few hundred feet of landing! we went to Tenerife for the first night and then had to eventually catch the ferry therefore 33 hours late in arriving not good for a weeks holidays!! Hotel food is varied and plentiful and excellent quality Rooms spacious very clean and the view we had was wonderful.Cnat fauolt the hotel but the holiday company should have made better provision for what happened and the brochure should have a warning as no flights went into La Palma for 4 days!!

Hotel booked on line - travelled independantly. No complaints, very good hotel, would recommend it. Handy for Santa Cruz & airport. If this island becomes more popular then jet noise could be a problem, as hotel is on flight path. There were not many Brits staying at this hotel.

Just returned from a last minute booking to the Taburiente Playa. This was an excellent choice for us. On the down side, the check in was very slow and could so easily have been improved by more staff to deal with the influx of British visitors. However, our room with a view of the sea to one side and the mountains to the other soon compensated for this. The Hotel is spotless and the food was excellent - a great choice at breakfast and dinner. The evening entertainment was of a good standard - the Soul group were particularly good. The pools and pool surrounds are lovely although the Hotel is on a windy promontory so occasionally it could be unpleasant to sit round the pool. This Hotel seems to cater for a more middle aged clientelle who do not want lively entertainment. There were very few children or teenagers.
