These are the worst apartments I have ever stayed in, the walls were mouldy, the fridge was rusty as was the microwave, the glass plate in the microwave was the wrong one and didnt fit, some of the plug sockets and lights didnt work Mr Roach showed his ugly head in the bathroom, I can only speak about the room that I was in and that was 1122 it was disgracefull. We did not eat or have one drink on the complex so cannot comment on that side of things. I certainly wont be visiting Club Siroco again.
Hotel is in a good location, just a few minutes walk from the Los Cucharas beach.

Very tired, very basic. We booked all inclusive with Thomas Cook. After first night requested a move to different accommodation. Rep from Thomas Cook very helpful, placed us in a 4 star hotel for very little extra money. Money well spent!! Be aware that if you book all inclusive you do NOT get TV, hairdryer, kettle, iron etc etc - you have to pay EXTRA!!!! Not what we expected on an all inclusive type booking. Food was very also basic, more like canteen food. Would not recommend to anyone.
Loved Puerto Del Carmen, as there was thing to do for everyone of all ages, with old town for great food etc....and also Strip for food and partying!

Rooms basic, Hot water stopped after a few days, but we didn't bother to complain, also rooms were cleaned 5 day's a week, which is good. We did'nt spen that much time at Hotel as it was so near to beach and town's, which were great! Would go back for budget holiday!

Nice resort but have been to nicer places. A bit quieter than last year. Would go back.

Just had a fantastic week at the Riviera Park. The appartments have everything you need & are only 5 minutes walk from the front road where all the shops/restaurants etc are. We were lucky enough to have a ground floor end appartment which had a huge patio area. There are sunbeds on each patio so when our 2 year old had a nap I could sunbathe in peace on the patio. Wouldn't hesitate to recomend these appartments & will definitely visit again.

The Papagayo Arena is a superb hotel. I had read a couple of reviews on another site and was worried about going, but I needn't have worried. We arrived and were greeted by the reception staff, they didn't smile much but were efficient. I had previously emailed and requested Block A. We were given block A and in my opinion it was the best block. It was quiet and away from the main pool area. Our view was of Feuturventura and to wake up to that view and the waves every morning was an absolute delight and dream. We were in fact closer to everything i.e. spa, restaurant and bars. Food: excellent, it was hot and the variety was plentiful. Absolutely no complaints. we did try the oriental restaurant, it was okay, but not quite what we were expecting. Worth a go as everyone has different tastes. Bars: The Green Bar (inside) - is also a piano bar (twice a week) it was quiet and obviously non smoking, unlike the bar on the top floor, which was okay but had an outside seating area and as usual all the smokers were out there, so we were a bit disappointed that, as we don't like smoke, we were unable to enjoy the 'fresh' air and views across the sea. But the bar staff were very friendly. Pools: very clean, but cold! There were sunbathing areas away from the pools, and this was used mainly by adults so it was also fairly peaceful. Pool bars and snack areas: Also very good, although tended to use the restaurant for meals. The room was large, with a telephone and tv, with NO english channels not even sky news! the bed was huge - my only problem was the bed was very hard, and I like a bit of comfort. Again the room was clean. I will say though there wasn't a welcome booklet in the room with information in, which I find useful. We also found we hadn't had a towel change by Thursday, we arrived Sunday, so we put our towels in the bath and that day they were changed. There is a fridge which you can use to keep your water cold, or a mini bar you can pay for. We had one 2 litre bottle of water in the room, but after that we just filled it up in the restaurant as everyone else did. A safe was in the room at a cost of 41 euros for the week, that includes a 20 euro deposit which you get back. Towels for the pools: these are also given to you. This review is personal to me, but I would definitely return to this hotel, and I would recommend it to others. The staff were always cleaning it was lovely to see.
A nice quiet resort with a lovely coastal path for a stroll, it is a good place for people with walking difficulties.

This Hotel is the best we have ever stayed in. The staff, food and the way the hotel was run is excellant, the one thing that could be improved was the swimming pool which was not warm enough but that is all. We booked the holiday through Broadway travel and everything went smoothly and nothing was too much trouble for them.
we found the resort to be in a excellent location to get the best of the beach, shops, bars and nots lets forget about the sunshine an beer. we have also booked to come back nx yr as we found this holiday to be fun, relaxing, and easy going.

Myself and my partner and 2 children spent 1wk here and rooms were very basic but all you require on a self catering holiday. hotel staff and local people were very friendly.

The positives: Great location equi-distant from Marina Rubicon and Playa Blanca. The views from the hotel are great overlooking the delightful Playa Dorada beach and over to Fuerteventura.
The staff in the main are very friendly, with the general exception of reception who i found to be generally short, with me and most guests.
The hotel and staff is generally very child friendly with the superb facilities of Kiko land - i would imagine in season this is bustling with activities.
The negatives: Main criticism is of the swimming pools - most tour ops and own hotel websites says they have 3 heated pools - they dont, they have one and this is only heated to 24 degrees as they rigidly adhere to a local law. 24 degrees on a cool cloudy is too cold to swim particularly when trying to teach a 5 year old to swim. All the poor kids were huddled in the jazuzzi! When challenged the client director took the temperature of the pool and said it wasnt the first time he had the complaint but wouldnt do anything about it. We stayed in the family suites over the road and again this pool wasnt heated so is rendered useless in the winter! This really spoiled our holiday, there isnt an indoor pool to use which is ridiculous for a 5 star deluxe although we could "try the facilities over the road at the hesperia as they have a nice warm pool" Unbelievable Other main critiscism is of the family suites - we paid more to stay in one of these even though there was only 3 of us. Mistake. Whilst they are fantastic size rooms they are not a patch on the main block. They are located about 150m from the main block over a main road. The corridors are noisy, a bit shabby and whilst we were there, felt very isolated as only 1/4 rooms were occupied. All the faciities on this side were closed ie Kiko restaurant, pool freezing, pool bar closed. Strangely although billed as family suites, not much forethought gone into the them ie patios doors cant be locked from inside and main door cant be locked to prevent kids wandering off - very strange. We did try to change to move to a junior suite in the main block but were told we couldn't as hotel was full and they were already having to "Upgrade" other guests to the family suit
