Lanzarote Holiday Reviews

Plenty to do in Lanzarote for a week, but not really for two. The beaches were nice but found a lot of them lacked sunbeds and umbrellas, not good when it's hot and windy and need shade. The walk along the promenade to the bars and restaurants was pleasant. There are a few places where you can have a nice drink and there are some nice souvenier shops. When we ate out, the food was good. The ferry to Fuerteventura was expensive but good, and made a nice day out. We hired a car and went to the National Park with the volcano, the Blue Lagoon and the cactus garden, all worth a visit.

Excellent Resort, nice beach for kids, lots of good eateries, supermarkets and bars. Short taxi journey from airport. Clean.

Good smallish resort with just enough choice of bars,restaurants and shops to keep all but the party animals happy. The fact you can catch a ferry from here to Fuerteventura is also a plus point. Nice walks along the sea front to the rubicon marina or lighthouse are also good for working of the holiday excesses although taxi's are reasonable should you not want to walk

We liked Puerto del Carmen. The kids loved the beach, we liked exploring the place and there is plenty in the resort to keep you entertained. It isn’t too noisy, we will be returning no doubt.

You have the choice of the Old Town Harbour area with excellent quieter Bars and Restaurants and the Seafront area with its clubs and Bars as well as a selection of great Restaurants.Beach is beautiful even though the black sand can become a little uncomfortable in the heat.Trips to Teguise market and the Volcano and Camel rides essential.

Playa blanca is very nice lots to do and nice shops. The beach there was fantastic and what I call a beach!!

Load of places to eat. Lovely beach - child friendly A really nice place just to have a stroll round in the evening

Nice, quiet family resort. No yobs or groups of same sex teens. If you want nightlife then its not for you. Good choice of eateries, nicely situated on the sea -front. Good base for exploring and sightseeing. Plenty to offer all ages

We have been to PDC 8 times in 6 years and would happily go back tomorrow. Been there in April, August and October and weather always superb. We have only seen 5 mins rain in 8 visits.The old town is suffering a little from businesses closing probably due to recession, but still plenty to do and see on the strip. Great resturants and cafes, particularly LA AVIENDA restuarant and the GOLDEN CORNER cocktail bar. Staff in most businesses are eager to help and friendly as they understand that the main industry of the island is tourism and as such work hard to make your holiday great. The only down side is the PRs who are mostly based in the center of the strip later at night who are irritating when they approach you to get you to go into there bars, even when you are walking on the opposite side of the road which they are not supposed to do. This is a small price to pay for what is a great place to go to for a holiday.

The location was beautiful and there were loads of things to do. The prices were reasonable and the food in the restaurants was very delicious. I cannot wait for our return trip there.

This is a very quiet resort, lots of cafes and restaurents but not alot of other entertainment, we went to go into a bar at 10.15pm and were told they were closed!! Its the type of resort for families with young kids who want to go out for a meal and return to their hotel. There was very little if nothing for our 18 year old, and theres only so many times our 14 year old could go on the trampolines, there really is very little entertainment for families with grown up kids. The sunset sports bar opposite hotel was great for food. There is an aquarium in the resort it was 12 euros for adults and 8 for under 12's it was very small and took all of 10 mins to walk round, there is also a waterpark it was 22.50 for adults and 16 euros for kids , not hugh but was a day out.

Resort is fine, nice beache, cheap food & drink, pity i can't say the same for the place i stayed in.

Playa blanca is a nice place to relax and explore at a slow pace, it is also a good hub to explore the island and also go island hopping to other parts of the caneries as there is a port in the town with fequent ferries and boat trips.

little quiet but very nice, ideal for families and couples some nice restaurants with good steaks, fish dishes and paellas

This resort isnt for familys with young children. From what we sore of the resort there is nothing to do the food and drink prices were average.
