As for the resort, well we thought it was great, nice shops & bars, no tall buildings whatsoever. The local beach (7 min walk) is currently closed as building work is taking place. The nearest beach that is open is a 20 min walk along the seafront just past the harbour. Its a lovely walk along the seafront, all pedestrianised with great views of neighbouring Fuertaventura.

Its a nice quiet town, with nice restaurants, shops and a couple of bars, but not the crazy night-life some places have which makes it really good for families. Also there are lots of things to do and see so you don't get bored, we would really recommend the camel rides and a visit to the volcanoes :)

I absolutely loved this resort, it is suitable for families and couples both young and old . I would definately go back, there is plenty to do and some lovely places to eat. I would most definately recommend The Cutty Sark, the food is fantastic and really reasonable, there is also a chinese called the Golden City which is lovely. There is a lovely promenade to walk down with lots of bars and rstaurants to choose from. Take a jacket for night time as it is quite breezy. The transfer from the airport is only about 20 minutes. I would most definately go back to Costa Teguise and would recommend the resort to anyone.

Ok, quiet, nice beach. Would go back but nothing for children. Pleasant resort, nice to walk around.
Resturants looked ok, nice bars.
Playa Blanca is a lovely place, quite quiet but enough shops and restaurants to go round. Beach was nice too!

Great shops for very reasonable duty free perfumes and aftershaves (Visit Charlies for good deals definately worth a haggle ) great weather and also central for puerto del carmen and costa teguise. Visit timanfaya park to see the volcanos and to have a camel ride. Also good excursion is the texas ranch bbq

The resort was very quiet and very windy, we normally go to Playa Blanca and it seemed a lot more windy, although we did prefer Costa Teguise. The beaches are excellent with rocks for the more adventureous crab hunters. We ate out every day, we went to the usual snack bars for lunch - everything with chips - but Hammies, Number One and Ryans where the nicest and reasonably priced. For evening meals we tried Popeyes - alright if you want british food although a bit expensive, Tex Mex restaurant - expensive mexican themed food, there are two Tex Mex restaurants very close to each other they are owned by the same people serving the same food. One restaurant that stood out was one that we weren't drawn to at first, Galeon Playa Bar Restaurant, when we did go in we ended up eating there for the next six nights. Excellent food, first class service from two blokes that know how to look after you and situated next to the pirate ship play area - which with young kids made meal times an enjoyable experience. The food is well priced with the option of a set menu for 9 euros including drink - from the set menu you have a choice of 4 starters, 4 mains and 4 deserts or a coffee - would highly recommend trying this restaurant. After speaking to many restaurant owners was saddened to hear that many of them where struggling to stay open as most hotels where now all inclusive.
