my wife and i along with our 4 year old stayed at the complex for 2 weeks at the end of june. we had an excellent time and trust me when i say that the animation team and mini clubs etc are 1st rate, and they all work extremely hard. some of the shows they put on are excellent [don't expect broadway, but the entertainment is humerous and well staged, and a testiment to all the hard work they put in]...i would reccomend watching at least one of the shows.

our rooms were clean and remained that way throughout our stay.

numerous people have commented on the food....unless you are paying a small fortune for your accomodation i believe that most people would get fed up of hotel food...they do not have an large budget or choice. overall the food was plentifull, if not [depending on the time you eat] a little cool and the dining room, as to be expected. became a little chaotic at times [ i would'nt like to cater for 00's of people and i suppose this is to be expected].

we initially were half board and once there we upgraded to all inclusive. for two adults and a child under 7 [i think] the cost was an extra 40 euro's per day. ice cream, selected cocktails, various spirits etc and lunch [ usually from previous evening plus extra dishes], we usually missed lunch and instead ate toasted sandwiches etc from the pool area bar [ lita and the staff there are excellent].

generally we feel [and everyone we met] that the hotel was excellent and there were quite a few people that were staying for a second time.

if you get fed up of the food, you can get a takeaway chinese off the square. there is a lovely mexican restaurant at the other end of the beach, past the spar [ it's the second mexican at the top of the hill]

would not hesitate to return to both the resort and complex.

We stayed here with a 7 and 5 year old in May 2008 for 10 days, We were booked on a half board basis, but changed to a A/I for the last couple of days. The hotel was lovely, a particular mention goes to the fantastic entertainment team who worked so hard all hours of the day and always had a smile ready, always cheerful and the children loved them!!!! A beautiful beach is nearby within walking distance.

NB - we did hear of a few break-ins when we were there, this only appeared to happen if you did not have a safety deposit box - we recommend it.

Actual date for us was Feb - March 2008 but won't allow it. Looked at all the reviews and whats said on the whole is correct. The food is very samey but lets be honest when you go all inclusive it tends to be like this anyway especially when going for a 3 star.

We were in room 371 and if anyone is able to I would suggest that this comes with one of the best views.

Hotel is kept extremely clean and the gardening staff and cleaners are busy none stop.

As I said before food is very samey but palatable. Do think a wider variety would have made things better.

Entertainment team were excellent, we felt that their shows were better than the professionals and they were busy none stop working from 10.30am through til gone 10pm.

We felt that the kids were well recieved and looked after but as another comment do feel that teenagers may struggle for things to do.

Saying that we are looking to go again taking a 14 month and a 13 year old. So we'll let you know how it is for a teenager then!!!

aparthotel lanzarote gardens very good for all the family,kids are well looked after if they so wish,clubs for all different ages,plenty for adults too if interested.we were all inclusive,overall good,but food does become repetitive,same all round,beer not the best but drinkable,spirits ok,only niggle was at night,everyone was stuck inside for shows and kids disco,outsdie bar was shut at 6,30,became very hot if full,which it regularly was,depending on show,shows were quite good,especially the popey family circus show,very, very good.

1 other niggle would be the rooms,we were on ground flr,and had cockroaches,but speaking to other guests,had no problem,we asked to move and got 2 nd flr room,no problems after this,very clean,receptionist says lanzarote common for roaches,and we did see them out at night walking around,but no major problems,resort is very quiet,easy to get meals and drink wherever you go,dont know how they all make money!!!!!!s

poilt for choice with beaches 5 min walk and also quiet,other niggle,parasol and lounger were 8 euro for day!!!!.

word of warning,dont go near the electrical shops,they will try to sell you 1 thing and then take your money and get you to buy a different item but dearer,without giving your money back for original item,big big scam,and dont ever pay with your cards,another scam,will hike up price when you get statement when back home,euro conversion scam from them,

overall a good holiday and quiet,would go back again to same hotel and resort.

We have been going to Costa Tegise for the last 10 years and stayed a various complexes within the area. We find this resort excellent for couples and families who do not want a clubby type atmosphere (although these are available as well). The resort has a very large mumber of bars and resturants that all make children welcome

As for the H10 Lanzarote Gardens we were very impressed. The staff within the complex were very friendly and helpfull. Everyone had a smile and a hello even the gardeners and maintenance people who kept this complex spotlessly clean. We went half board on this holiday which something we do not normally do. There was plenty of variety but having said this we still felt the need to go out and eat a few times in the 10 days we were there.
The main thing that impressed us was the entertainment team which consisted of a team of six people who not ony kept the kids entertained from early morning until late in the evening, they also put on shows in the evenings and kept the adults entertained too. For families this complex is ideal. There is a baby club for kids upto 3yrs and a kids club for 4yrs and up. They also involved the kids in the shows. for example while we were there they put on a rendition of Beauty and the Beast and Lion King and had the kids all dressed up and taking roles within these shows. Some of the parents were involved in the shows as well so they did not feel left out. The kids had a ball and because of the amount of activity were normally worn out by 10.30.

All in all I would recommend this complex to anyone with children and although we went as a couple we still had a good time but we would definatly go back but probaby take our grandaughter with us next time as she would have a ball!!
